How many layers?

I was just visiting Maya's Creativity challenge forum and my jaw dropped when I read about Amber (Crafty Buttons) page.

That has to be some kind of record - I think the most I've used is 50 - my PE would complain if I did many more

I remember seeing that and my jaw dropping at how many buttons were on there. I can't even imagine having the patience for that!

OK, Diane so you're now in first place - I saw your page with buttons - amazing!

Is it Maya's challenges & designs that challenge you to do so many layers?

And how long does it take you? I wouldn't have the patience :humble:

Ha ha thanks you guys, but it really wasn't that hard! I just did a search for 'button' in my scrapbook template folders and started dragging them in, placing them by color.

I did the drop shadows at the end, doing the default on one, then pasting the layer style on all the rest of them.

It was an evening's work, maybe 2 hours? Most of my pages take about that long, some longer, very few are quicker than that, because I fuss a lot!

I have this one...when I opened the program it said 386 layers (half of those would be shadows, though, since I had to create each shadow on its own layer in GIMP).
