How do you transition seasons?

So for those of us in the northern hemisphere, we are winding down the summer season and Getting ready for fall. I now live in Florida and we won’t get much fall. But back home they are gearing up for apple picking and pumpkin patches and falling leaves. What about you?

I will hold onto the last bit of summer with both of my hands for as long as possible. Once that is over, I jump right into Halloween mode. (it's honestly not that big a jump- we always have one foot in Halloween mode at my house year round LOL)
The two most significant things that mark the season change are I take out all of my autumn-scented candles and I bake. Apple and punpkin and cinnamon. Yum And that is just the candles :D:D

We are looking forward to summer here. I miss that we don't have defined seasons and I miss a 'proper' winter (snow/Christmas lights etc). Summer is hot and usually sunny but winter is just grey and wet. And where I am, Spring is the same. In fact, the local joke is that Spring (ie Sept - Nov) is the worst and it is generally known as 'sh*tsville' instead of spring :-(

It's been raining so much here that it feels like the whole country is sliding into the sea (landslides everywhere)

Linda, I missed fall the most when we lived in Florida. I used to joke that we had "two weeks of winter". When it was "cold" enough to wear a sweater - BRRRRRRR Hahaha

I look forward to the leaves turning and go on "leaf watch" every day. We have such wonderful views, living up high on a hill.
