And it gets a surprisingly good reception? For instance, you get lots of good comments? You possibly even get a Standing O? #dk
Linda, you do beautiful work besides leaving a legacy! Most of my layouts aren't things that I'm particularly proud of. But I am proud that I am leaving a legacy. If sometimes they turn out really good, I'll take it as a bonus!
Thanks Evelyn. I appreciate the kind words!Linda, you do beautiful work besides leaving a legacy!
That's SO true!I have made layouts that I thought were so so and they got complimented. Other times, I may make a layout and think it looks pretty good and it goes unnoticed. I guess it depends on how the preference of the viewer. They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder!
It's so strange how that happens. I think most art is subjective. "The eyes of the beholder, again."I've definitely had layouts get lots of comments that I thought were quick and simple and I'm not sure why cause I don't think it's that special.
Yes, it is!LOL Yup this has happened to me @Cherylndesigns ... funny how that happens!
"The eye of the beholder" again. Back in the day, we used to enter photography exhibits that were juried. Some pieces that made it into the exhibit were, in our opinions, just mediocre. Very subjecve.Ditto to what Evelyn and Chris both said. I've struggled with some, posted anyway, not being very happy with them, and they seem to get the best response. LOL Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. ♥
It makes total sense, Susie! I've done the same thing. Thanks for adding that thought.I didn't read all the responses, but another thought came to me about layouts I don't "like". I think I really like all of them or I wouldn't put my name onto them. What I found at another site that I was a CT at, there were times when there were kits that I didn't really feel "inspired" to use. I would grab a template and then just use the kit with that. I felt the layout was "cute" or nice, but I felt like it was advertising the kit, not commemorating a memory like I usually scrap. Does that make sense?

To me as a ct person you are advertising the kit . One designer i know of does not like white space lo only because so few elements are used.
