This is one of my favorite holidays when my hippie-dippy tree-hugger self gets to shine. My brother started calling me that when we were in high school, and I don't know-- is it accurate?

Let's roll some tape. I scrapped this page in 2011 but the photos are from 2006.

Yup. 100% accurate. :D

Do you do anything to celebrate Earth Day? I think that every day is Earth Day, especially when the weather is (finally) warming up and things are beginning to bloom. However, I am officially celebrating on this Sunday at work. I work at an ecology center and will be making natural material self-portraits with anyone who stops by.
I shared this in the Daily Ooos already, but wanted to share with everyone. This is what I am doing:

That looks just like me!

Thanks for the reminder Chris, I remember when Earth Day started and big celebrations in High School. Sure hope we will start to care for our Earth again.
I love your pages, awesome! :lovey3: :beatingheart:

@MariJ I remember when you had that stress fracture from your trip to Australia and all the trouble you had healing from it. It was a very long healing process, with up's and down's

@JeanneMN Time sure flies... 16 with a drivers license...the start of independence! I love the Bosch series!! How fun that you went out last night with Wendell's crazy wine drinking friend.

@bcgal00 Well a big congrats and I hope it is more than you could dream. Sounds like you will have a busy summer selling and creating. Best of luck to you.

@faerywings I'm so glad you got to see the Red bellied wood pecker. I have to tell you a cute bird story for you. Yesterday late afternoon hubby ran the irrigation system twice to water some fresh sod. When it was done a small bird was in the fig tree on the big leaves playing in the water...so cute it looked like it was sliding down the leaves then going to the top of the leaf to slide again.Sadly I couldn't get to my camera in time to get a photo of it.

Yesterday morning I kept hearing something hitting the dining room windows in front of the house. I went out to the courtyard and there was young mockingbird under my palm...it was fluttering on the ground. I picked it up to take it to a place that is more open. I talked to it and held it for awhile. It seem better so took it out back to set it free. It flew off so I guess it was just stunned.
Hubby went to help our friends move furniture back into place as they had 3 rooms and a hallway tiled. I stayed here and washed windows and the neighbors fence because it gets bug nests and hubby hit when moving tires so it had black streaks on it....it bothered me so not it's all fixed. In the afternoon we went to Home Depot to get new paneling for the shed..it's looking bad so now we can fix it before we leave for our summer trip.
I got a call from my lawyer Duke Energy wants us to make a $$$ demand instead of a deposition so we did, I guess it will be a back and forth day on the phone. It's sorta nice since now we don't have to drive to Clearwater.
Last night we went to the club for music night and had dinner. It was nice visiting with friends but I was not into it at all so we were home by 9.
Today I need to pick up a few groceries then I will help reside the shed. a fun day planned_LOL

Happy Tuesday everyone.

Yes! You remember Debby! And that was actually the first break which took awhile to heal, on that one my foot went over on one of the copper rocks on the beach. I woke up that night and couldn't put any weight on it and there I was in AUSTRALIA! Jody and Darren got me sorted though.. That did take a long time to heal... And then came the stress fracture which was even worse. :crying1: Not fun times at all so I am very careful now! :beatingheart::lovey3::beatingheart:
