Getting smooth edges with Brushes & Shapes?

I am trying to create some silhouettes of different "characters" for a huge bulletin board in my library. I have a ballerina, a super hero, a cowboy, etc., etc. I have a combination of brushes, shapes, and clip art.

I plan on using my Silhouette Cameo to cut them out, but I'm finding that many of them don't have smooth edges - especially when blowing them up to a 12 x 12 size. The Cameo cuts every little indent and groove, so if the edge is bumpy on screen, the cut out will be bumpy.

I am struggling to figure out if there is a way to smooth out edges on these different kinds of items. Anyone have any tips?

Excellent. That specific one didn't work with my version of elements, but it gave me the keywords I needed to search for one that did work with elements! Yay!!! Now I can use the brushes and shapes I found!

I also started using dingbat fonts too for some of them and that worked well. Thanks!!
