Genealogy Christmas Gift

I have a newly discovered cousin. Actually, my guess at this point is that he is a first cousin once removed. Ancestry identifies him as a first or second cousin. We have started corresponding through email today. He hasn’t told me how he is related to mmm great uncle Paul but I imagine he is an illegitimate child. I know for sure that my mom, grandma and great-grandma didn’t know about him.

Funny, because I was hoping to find some new relatives that could share memories from our respective lines but I believe that I am the one who will share information now. I knew Uncle Paul pretty well for a great uncle so I have lots of pictures and stories.

I’m really hoping that o can answer some questions for this man. Feels like a Christmas gift to me.
