Anyone watching the Eurovision songcontest this Saturday, May 18th?

Yesterday I watched the first semi finals, but was not really impressed.
we have the first finalist:

Greece
Belarus
Serbia
Cyprus
Estonia
Czech Republic
Australia
Iceland
San Marino
Slovenia

Tomorrow is the second semi final, and I hope we (the Netherlands) qualify.

Do you have a favourite artist/song?

No, I found it rather boring. Hope tomorrow evening will have better songs!!

No, I no longer look at it, it is far too exaggerated for me and I really don't think it's really about a song contest anymore I personally think

you are right Vera, we could easily call it the eurovision show contest
but I still love watching it all.

All the strange performances,
some acts are great, i love lightshows etc. but seeing someone singing in a box that looks like singing in the shower is to much. russia

or singers that are pinned to a large pole? to look like they are flying? australia

it is fun to look at, but not about the songs anymore.

but most important, we made it to the finals,
and are even favourite to win
so I am watching tonight!

I'm a fan of ESC.
Unfortunately there is no Hungarian song in the final this year.
I like lots of songs. My favorites are Russia, Sweden, France.
But I think the winner will be The Netherlands.

I had not watched it for years as I got fed up with all the palaver around it.
It didn't seem to be about the songs anymore and then all that political voting got in, grrr.

But... I did watch most of it last night and the Netherlands did have a gripping song and a singer with a good voice. No extra nonsense or acrobates dancing around him. It was just about the song.
I did like Russia too and as for Madonna the less said the better:shocked:
