Elf

Mistress of Mayhem
I watched Elf today for the first time. I've seen so many saying it's their favorite Christmas movie. I've been looking for it, and now I found that Netflix had it here in Sweden. Must be some kind of Christmas special, cuz they didn't have it just a couple of weeks ago.

I really liked it. It was an easy watch, fun and Christmassy. I think Will Ferrell is really an underestimated actor.

Best part, I learned a new insult: "cotton-headed ninny-muggins" English is an amazing language!

It's been one of my favorite Christmas movies since it came out. I'm not always a fan of Will Ferrell, but I love him in this.

I just remembered a funny story. Will Ferrell's wife is Swedish. I saw an interview with him, and he was telling about how much he liked Sweden. One thing he liked was how we Swedes don't stop him to talk when he's out and about. He could see that people recognized him, but no one really bothers him. Then once he and his wife happened to meet American tourists, and they had stopped him, and when they called him Will Ferrell, he had just pretended to be Swedish, talking to his wife with the few Swedish words he could. One of the words I remember he said was kycklingfilé (chicken breast), and then just other random words. His wife replied in perfect Swedish, then turned to the Americans, and apologized and said her husband didn't speak English. Somewhere in America a couple tells a story on how they met Will Ferrell's doppelganger in Sweden. :giggle4:

kycklingfilé ? lol., funny story, I didn't know that Will's wife is swedish, although I live in a swedish - finnish town (Vaasa), and actually my father-in-law is swedish, he too is living in Sweden.
