I used to love to cook. As I grow older, I find that I would rather watching cooking shows on TV than cook myself! I just finished watching MasterChef and the winner was a home cook from my home state of Iowa! Our entire family was excited!
The only TV I watch is with Mark in the evening. But, I wouldn't watch cooking shows because, like you, I don't like being in the kitchen any longer than I have to be!
I think the pleasure of cooking shows is not liking to cook, but liking to eat. I don't normally watch any but do sometimes see one when we eat out (no sound) when one TV screen is on cooking instead of sports.
I love cooking shows!! I watch them on my computer while designing I love all of the Gordon Ramsey cooking competition shows...especially Next Level Chef and Chloe and I used to watch MasterChef Junior together back when we had a TV actually set up in the house...we all just have our computers or tablets now. I also really like The Pioneer Woman, Chopped, Iron Chef America, Guy's Grocery Games, Diners Drive-Ins and Dives...I'm sure there are more that I am forgetting! lol These are all ones that I have enjoyed over the years...I am not currently watching all of these since we don't have cable and do HULU, Netflix, Peacock, and Amazon Prime Video instead
I used to watch Master Chef Australia (and some other cooking competitiond) with my mom. My mother loved to cook and didn't want to watch them when she wasn't able to cook anymore..
now she's gone for a couple of years it made me sad when I thought of wachting Masterchef Australia because we lijke that the most.
I used to all the time back when we had Comcast/Xfinity. Now, they're so hard to find and half of them are on subscription. Ugh I miss Comcast/Xfinity so much.
I used to. A looooooong, long time ago. When I was in the last few weeks of pregnancy with DS -- who is now 27- I watched a ton of shows on Food Network. After he was born I would watch that (along with the Golden Girls reruns) any time I nursed him- which felt like all day, every day. Non-stop.
I guess I burned out (no pun intended ) because I have absolutely no interest in them now
I forgot one of my most favorite shows to watch, which is a baking show....The Great British Baking Show!!! I haven't watched it in a while, was just reminded about it while scrolling through Netflix for something to watch while I try to get some Halloween designing done....I just ADORE the British accent
I LOVE cooking and spending time in the kitchen - hubby and I often spend Friday evenings cooking something and sharing a glass of wine and chatting... sometimes we do a project on the weekend - like a big batch of home-made raviolis or tiramisu to freeze for when life gets busy. That said, I don't enjoy watching cooking shows - I'd rather be doing than watching. I do like short IG reels though - they give me ideas...
