Do you keep hard copies of your scrapbook pages? I used to print 8x8 books at ArtsCow. I haven't done that in years. But my sister-in-law passed away unexpectedly last week and one of the places that I went to get some favorite photos to display was to those books. Then I heard one of my nieces say, "I kept turning these over to see what mom had written on the backs of these and there is nothing." Now, in fairness there were 5 kids---4 nieces and a nephew.

So now, tell me how you keep your scrap pages.

I make photo books. You can see some of the public versions of my album pages in my gallery. And my family love these albums - I take them out for Christmas and other family gatherings, and they are always a great conversation starter.

I create books. I have three per year plus a book for any vacations that take more than a few pages. Each book (of the yearly) are apron 90-100 pages. I do them chronological and I tell the story of what's happening. Each birthday is about 4 pages and tells the age, who, and shows who all was there. The grand kids love them. I create (using same layouts of yearly books) books just for them on their shelf at my house. They love to look at them and talk about what is happening. I dont worry about their book getting messed up since its just for them. I have every event from 2012 forward (the start of my Digital scrapping) and we all love to see them when they arrive. Sometimes my kids will pull them out and look. I know when I am gone they will be priceless. We do Jan-April, May-Aug, and Sept-Dec and then if its a big thing like graduation, vacation, trips of lifetime, those all get their own book since there are so many photos. I do 8x8 books, they fit my bookshelves nicely.

I store my pages online and have some photo books made but one of these days I will get 2-3 more large albums printed b/c I have hundreds that are waiting to be printed.

I print my pages at home, I'm currently using a Canon Pixma large format printer. I print a copy for myself and one for my grand's mom so that someday one can have my copy and one can have hers. I scrap totally willy nilly out of order, whatever I'm in the mood for or whatever memory is triggered. My whole purpose is to get pictures out of the darkness and into the light. I figure in albums they can be rearranged.
