I know, right? That's probably what kept me back all these years...I'm just too indecisive and afraid of making a bad choice. I have a former coworker who had a friend place a tattoo of a smiling Jesus on the top of her forearm. It's not very well done and that thing is going to be right out there forever.
Ah man, well scratching that one off of my list.... :p

No tattoos for me. Sydney (my 18 year old) wants to get a few...she has them very well planned out because she is a planner. We were going to get matching ones but then we found out that I have a bad valve and don't want to do anything that could start any infections---shoot, teeth cleaning is now a "thing".

Anyway, we were going to have a rose on the inside of our arm...my nieces were going to get one that matched. One of my nieces drew a heart when Mom passed away and it was on her funeral program and then we had it engraved on their headstone. In the very center of the rose is a tiny heart...where the bud is. I had an old card with Mom's handwriting and we were going to have the word "love" in her handwriting as the stem. My niece who did the original rose, did a prototype for us...it was very cool. I think the girls will all probably go ahead with it.

I love hearing stories about "tribute" tattoos! I do hope your nieces go forward with theirs, even if you choose not to.

No - my mother would kill me (52 and still scared of my mother LOL) I have one that I designed though that I will get after she dies - I don't care if I'm 70 - I'll still get it :D

My mother was a talented seamstress and made a lot of her daughter's wedding dresses (including mine). When my niece got married 25+ years ago she decided to delicately let my Mom (her grandmother) know that she wasn't going to have her make the dress. Reason being, she was covered with tattoos that my Mom had never seen and she didn't want her to see them during fittings, etc. It was a fall wedding so having a long sleeved wedding dress wasn't remarkable. I'm assuming my Mom never did find out about all of Cyndi's tattoos.

I've always wanted to have tattoos, I think it's very beautiful, but I could never choose.
And now that I'm getting older I think, now I don't have to anymore, although I would still like a small one on my wrist
