Do you find yourself becoming someone else?

I used to say, "I'll never become like my mother or grandmother." Well, guess who I am today? My grandmother! haha I find my home full of homemade doilies, lace, etc and cook full meals just for ME! I swore I'd never do that. I sit at my dining room table and drink coffee, early in the morning, watching beautiful cardinals flitting around and eating my seeds and look up to the sky and say, "Grandma, you'd be proud of me!" :) I cook full coarse meals and eat on my delicate china and say, "Thank you, Grandma, for teaching me I matter, too!"

We always take over something from our loved one, often we don't see it, but often without realizing it, we look more like them than we know

O.M.G! I am not-so-slowly turning into my mom. Before I had kids, I swore up and down that I would never use "B/c I said so" as a reason. When my kids were little and that started popping out of my mouth, I knew that I was doomed. Then little things that I would say came straight from her, then the little worrying "quirks." But underlying it all is my deep, constant and unbreakable love for my kids and family. I get that from her.

I also see my DD turning into me and tell her that she is going to be Grandma one day too ;)

Danesa, your Grandma would be proud!
Vera- that is so true!

Had to LOL over this... DSon-in-law#1 commented that one day he discovered his Mom's finger attached to his hand and her words coming out of his mouth!!! Put me in hysterics that even men find that they have their mom inside, too!!

I think we all do things like our parents at one point, the first time you notice that it is a bit scary but I don't mind.
I will only start to worry when I get that feeling when I look in the mirror!
