I date only the heritage photos but I do have all my other photos in folders that are dated by year and month

I date most of my pages, at least those that documents life/travel/memories. I wouldn't date my art journal pages. Unless they are about something related to a specific day. I date cuz I know my brain ... I will not remember otherwise.

Every Layout I make for monthly challenges, all go into the Monthly folder (which is of course labelled with the month and the year) so yes I know what Month and Year I make my Layouts. I consider the Month and the Year to be more than sufficient. I seldom need to know the exact date.

I do now! Some of my earlier pages are undated and that’s because at the time the when/where/who was all so obvious… and when I look at those albums now I realize I don’t remember where we were or what we were doing… so I started putting dates/places on all my pages - often, it is the first thing people look for in an album, lol…
