DAY 12 - Christmas/Winter Song Lyrics | CHALLENGE

Thanks for the challenge, Vicky! I hope my word art and my few lyrics are okay! I heard this song this morning and it was in my ear all day.

HA! I hate it when that happens! Great page! Thanks for participating in the challenge!

Thanks for this challenge ))
Text: The winter
The shepherd blows into his fingers
The icicles hang, the milk freezes
The snow is like lace
Near the fire the wood gathers
Everywhere the water freezes captive
Stay at home, winter is coming
So the owl up there
Sings to-ho, sings to-ho
And it's good to hear it in the warmth
The wind moans over the meadows
And in the sky the moon is naked
Everywhere the cold sufferer sneezes
Crunch the chestnuts my friends
-Julos Beaucarne-

This is our family Christmas song - and the first allowed to be played on Thanksgiving Friday!

I heard Karen Carpenter singing that song, Susie, as I read the lyrics! Thanks for participating in the challenge!

Wonderful page! Thanks for participating in the challenge!

I wanted to scrap a hymn but couldn't find quite the perfect elements. Obviously I need to shop! :D However, I had lots of fun humming songs and finally decided on a popular one. I used an alpha as well as a font for my title and decorated it with stars. Thanks for a fun challenge, Vicky!

Vicky, I took your advice and didn't stress, just went and played with a kit that I love still and a song that was on my mind, another of the songs The Kingston Trio recorded long ago on an album called Last Month of the Year.

And you did a wonderful job, too! And I love that song! Thanks for participating!

I always enjoy this challenge b/c I usually try to learn to play the music and this music turned out to be easy to play. I've been challenging myself to use my laptop and Affinity Photo instead of my usual desktop computer and Photoshop. Normally I'd have a gazillion fonts to play with, but using Affinity Photo and my laptop is forcing me to keep things simple, so my wordart is just one of Anna's roses in place of the "o" in "Rose."

The rose is the perfect addition to your title! Thanks for participating in the challenge!
