Omgosh...can you believe I'm up this early two days in a row? My body is going to rebel!!!

I'm off to perform in a benefit concert today. I'm really really excited about this, because we are using it to launch our band again. Mr Gorgeous is looking gorgeous as ever while playing the piano (and electric guitar and twelve string and acoustic!! LOL!!), and our other three bffs (all guys) are such AWESOME musicians. I love this band!

The benefit is for Mr Gorgeous's cousin's wife. She is battling stage IV lung cancer and has no money to pay for all of the treatment. SHe was just gonna go home and die...but her family rallied and this party is gonna be big!!!!!!

Oh Sally - I hope that the benefit goes really well for you guys! I just wish we could find a cure for cancer once and for all.

Ona - I hope everyone stays dry and safe. It's so frustrating when you feel you can't help.

We went out to eat last night and had a good time. I also got a pedicure. It was a little bit of heaven. But today I need to clean. After we clean up a little, Ben wants to go to the "sandbox". So we might head to a park while DH fixes his sister's website for her business.

Good morning "O" Family!! I hope everyone is doing well! We are back from vacation and had a fab time :) Feeling yucky right now after getting bronchitis as a return home present :) Hope it passes fast!!

Ohhhh Sally I am so glad the band is back together!!! You have such an amazing voice :) I hope the concert is a success and my prayers go out to Mr. G's Cousin! (((hugs)))
 
Hey guys. Still here. I'm having a hell of a time with Jacob's owie - can't find a bandage that both lets air in so it can heal, and doesn't stick to the wound. Ugh. Keeping a bandage clean and dry on a 22-month old is just impossible.

Cool, rainy weekend here. It's the first big camping weekend of the season so Eric is working a ton (he is a state park manager). I don't even know what time he came home last night. I went to bed at 1:30 a.m. and he wasn't home yet. Same today.

Winkflash, Winkflash. I'm so happy they are having a photo book sale but I wish somewhere, somewhere would have an actual 12x12 photobook. Not 12.3x11.6 or whatever. Actual 12x12 so I don't have to resize! And I'm not buying any actions to do it for me. Anyway, I uploaded all my layouts yesterday before it dawned on me to check their cropping. So, I'm redoing everything and hope I can get it done before the sale ends.

In a bit of a funk the last 2 weeks, gonna try to come out of it or be scarce and not spread the negativity.

Sally - many prayers to this lady. I hope the benefit goes well!

Spring is more than there now, we almost feel like in summer :)
the kids are in the pool right now. We're waiting for Hélène's godfather to arrive tonight, to attend her first communion tomorrow morning.
She's very eager to be tomorrow ... :)

Sally - my favourite zucchino ! good luck with the concert ! hope you get tons of support for her ...

just wanted to peek in and say hi.. I just spent 2 hours in the checkout line at Old Navy for $1.00 flip flops... Matthew's passed out for his nap, and the other 2 kids are just chillin'... so I'm having a bite of lunch and relaxin'!

Hey guys! Its Sunday morning here and THE SUN IS OUT!!! yay! The worst is over so now its back to reality proper..............the cleaning up!! We are still cut off and most probably will be until around Tues/Wed...........shucks, can't go to work! {{snigger snigger}}. DH has a LOT of work ahead of him with the machinery...........the erosion is pretty bad at the back of the house..........our soil is predominantly sand....we have a 300' sandstone cliff behind our house and over the zillions of years the sand washed off the cliff has been deposited on top of the clay bed. Anyway, when we cleared the land for the house we left some big trees up the back but now the erosion is heading back to them and now we might be in trouble if the tree roots loose the footing in the sandy soil. As soon as the soil drys out DH can go up the back with his machinery and extract them............I hate the thought cause I am a bit of a tree-hugger but I do love our house! One of trees, if it fell, would come crashing down into my kitchen which has a lovely big glassed sunroof..........hate to think of the mess THAT would cause!!
All the family are ok and DH's mum is on her way home............they evacuated her and some other elderly people to Coffs Harbour about an hr's drive away...........she is sure looking forward to coming home to her bed!!! poor old thing!! and yes Dawn............she's a rockin' old lady! text messages, still listens to the occasional rock'n'roll music track and absolutely adores going to the movies to watch all the MODERN movies!!!

Hi all :). I'm kinda chillin' out...DH and DS are gone :) to the races and Amanda and I are home alone. That doesn't happen often and I'm enjoying it! We are taking off about 6 or 7am tomorrow for Saint Louis!!!!! I am sooo excited! It's been a while since we've seen Third Eye Blind :). Y'all be looking for their new album in September! Stephan Jenkins is such an awesome lyricist!

Sally-awesome about your band! I'm so sorry to hear you're doing a gig for something so sad but I hope it brings in a good amount to help her out, y'all are awesome for doing that!

Sara-what color did you get your toes done? I just gave myself a pedi today and went for a sparkly hot pink :). I loooove summer toes!

LOL, Ona, you MIL sounds like my kinda lady :). I hope to be like her when I am that age...my life plan (if we could really plan this) is to live to 110 and still be full of pep! You definitely wouldn't want the trees to hit your house...we had an ice storm here in in January and had a tree bust up my car and our house and util pole. It looked like a warzone here in Kentucky..trees and poles broken all over. Trees are like weapons sometimes...I guess it was payback for the way everyone's mistreated our World ;).
