Are you kidding me? Who said that we were ready for June? I am still looking for spring!;)

Quick one by me today. Syd has soccer this morning so I am taking her. Brian is taking Shaun to get his team swim trunks because practices start Tuesday.

Had a great day yesterday. A little sore this morning from the 3 mile bike ride yesterday but glad that I lived to tell about it so a small victory there.

Big plans for the weekend? I know that Trudy has big plans...she is planning for that baby to show up any time now! And Phylis is off to the beach with the grandmen. Nothing quite that exciting for me.

I'll be back in to check on you ladies later.

I am running out to take pics and pick the fallen peonies for a vase. We are due for strong storms which means rain for today. guess I will either work on the scrap room or head to town and get caught up with end of the month stuff. Tomorrow I can plant the seeds I bought for the garden!!

Nothing exciting here either, I'm going to the playground with Luc and Nik, Wes is at special daycare today and Ben is hanging out with friends at the halfpipe next to the playground, DH is grocery shopping. Later today I might do some crafts with the boys.

Good morning it is going to be another scorcher here in my part of NJ. Yesterday got all the bills paid and mailed off. Got in exercise too by walking to the post office. Then I also did a early evening walk so happy I got those walks in. I watched Anderson Cooper cover the new round of tornados in OK. Too scary! Thinking of them today. Today is just a calm day and waiting for hockey to start. Going to bed early and getting up early to hear the birds sing. I have found less than 10 cicadas in the backyard and for that I am grateful. My son said some people just astound him. Where he works there are lots of cicadas and as a woman approached she said "I cant believe all this noise I am going to call the city office and tell them to put a stop to all this noise" At first my son did not know whether or not to take her seriously but he did and explained it was 17 year cicadas and the noise would be gone is about 6 weeks. Too funny.

Linda enjoy the soccer. Glad you made your 3 mile ride. Always expected to be little sore after the first ride.

Laurie hope the storms are not too bad.

Chris hope you are having a great day.

Phylis hope the beach is fun with those grandmen

Trudy I hope to hear there is a baby soon. Enjoy the Bruins.

Have a great day all

good Sunday morning - looks like it should not hit 90 today so no heat wave LOL still warm and muggy though. Thunderstorms are due this afternoon. Got in 3 walks yesterday and according to my UP band walked over 14,000 steps. The last walk was the most fun as my DH and I walked down to our local DQ for Blizzards. Watched great hockey games. A fun day. Hope to get in a walk today before storms. Then tonight another hockey game.

Hope you all have a great day today.

MOrning Nancy and the rest of the O fam! I was up early and clouds have given way to sunny skies. I finished planting the first of my squarefoot raised garden yesterday- I have tomatoes, peppers, cilantro, onions, carrots and zinneas! I am slowly working on getting the rest put together. I am mixing the soil mix in my wheelbarrow- about 4 loads per 4' square box. Lots to do today, so I guess I better get moving.

Hi and Happy Sunday!!!

I made it to the lake yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wooot!!!!!!!!
So fun how nothing has changed but the faces of the moms and kids. Same words I said when my kids were little. "Not that far, it's too deep, come on this side of the rope." "No, we are not getting ice cream today." "You need more sunscreen."
LOL

It is a different deal though not having to watch the water, I grabbed anew book from the library and was able to sit and read for an hour or so. If I can get out there and do that a couple of times a week during the summer, after work, I will be so recharged.

I am off to my brother's b-day party in a few hours, I still have to make him a card. Why do I wait to the last minute on these things lately? I feel so lazy but I know I am really not. I just prioritize "differently." :pound:

Hope you all have a great one!

Trudy!!!!!???? Where are you?? :D I just stalked your FB page to see if there are any updates but nothing yet? Thinking of you!

Linda S- I know-- May FLEW by, didn't it??? I think that I flipped my mom out when I showed her my May calendar. But I know my May was not as busy as yours. Congrats on the bike ride! I could never get that far. Walking maybe, not on a bike though.

Phyllis- hope you are having a great time at the beach with the grandmen!

Angela- sounds like a fun day with the boys!

Nancy- we haven't had any cicadas yet, but we are a week or two behind the rest of the state for spring so maybe in a few days we'll start seeing and hearing them. How absolutely ridiculous of that woman *eye roll*
Awesome on the walking/steps!!!

Laurie- awesome gardening! I got Gary and "salsa seed kit": for his b-day and we have a lot of the same-- peppers, tomatoes, cilantro (omg- its huge already!), onion, and something else I can't remember. Plus we have lettuce and spinach coming up. I can't wait to eat it all :p
Wear lots of sunscreen and check for ticks (Friendly PSA!)

hugs to all of you!

Hello ladies! Quick one here. I have made a double batch of potato salad and a double batch of coleslaw for my niece's graduation party. I've picked up thank you cards for the kids to write to their teachers tomorrow. I'm sticking in Amazon gift cards...figure you can't go wrong there. And picked up graduation cards for Sarah and her boyfriend...need to add checks to those. Picked up birthday card for oldest niece who turns 23 this week. I'll see her today so thought I might as well hand off the card. Another check there. Woooo...going to be broke.

Then Syd's last soccer game (regular season is today) so will attend that this afternoon. Then can go to Sarah's party. Then come home and get ready for the week! LOL Too cold and gray here today. But, at least no rain.

Be back later.
