Good Morning everyone! With Chris off to a relaxing couple of days in PA with her family, I will get this thread started for the weekend. It is very foggy here this morning, but the sun is trying to break through all that fog and it looks to be a very nice day! Hopefully there will be lots of snow melting today ! Yesterday was busy with going to the pool and DH getting his exam done. Then we were busy running a few more errands and picking up supplies to get the rest of the staircase/bannisters done on the upper portion. Man this has been a big job and it will sure be nice when it is finally completed. Hopefully the next step will be to replace all the carpet on the stairs. Keep your fingers crossed for me that DH agrees with me LOL. So not much on the agenda for today, perhaps a trip to the grocery store and of course painting/staining. I hope to also do another painting for myself and get one started for Heather. It is my lovely daughters birthday today. I wish I could be with her to make her a cake and help her to celebrate her special day! I need more coffee and then I will come back to do personals! :cof3:

Good morning, Trudy. Happy B-day to Heather! I'm going to mostly stay indoors today, will get some errands done, watch a few shows with D and take Taz out. Nothing exciting but will enjoy a quiet day. I hope to get a bit of scrapping done today or tomorrow too which will be fun.

I need to do some baking later as I'm all out of low carb snacks.

Can't wait to see the painting you create for H.

Hope everyone is well and hope Chris is having some family fun!

:hello: Rae!! I really need to find some new, great low carb snacks! I am getting tired of the same old, same old! Perhaps I will hop over to your Pinterest page?? I hope you have a nice relaxing day just chillin with your DH and Taz!! Hoping to see lots of melting today, so sick of shoveling! Enjoy your scrapping time too! really need to get back at it. I have been so busy doing the staircase, seems nothing else is getting done. :mmph: It will be nice to have DH's help with it this weekend! I have the need to get some creative things going again!

Kay - Oh my goodness, I hope you are feeling much better today! Yuck on having the tummy issues!! Are you sure it is not the flu?? That is a shame that you have to chuck all of your dinners in the freezer, but better to be safe than sorry!! Sending you lots of healing thoughts!!

:hello: Nancy, Felis and Jean!! Hope you are having a great Saturday!

Ok my Gary is ready to hit the grocery store with me! Pizza for supper tonight, will make a homemade one for him and a FatHead Pizza for me :hungry: Have a great weekend everyone!!

I am much better today! Even well enough to enjoy a cup of coffee. :cof3:
I am sure it was bad food that caused the problem. It was a leftover chicken dish - even though it was stored in the fridge. Think that maybe it didn't get put in the fridge quickly enough after lunch. <<< sigh >>> Going to throw out the other serving that I had put in the freezer... rather be safe than sorry.

Spent most of yesterday in bed... napping most of the day and even slept 11 hours last night. That is a good clue that my body needed the rest to recover from that bad episode. I was careful and only had a couple of pieces of toast and a small bowl of oatmeal yesterday... plus lots of water. Have to try out a regular meal today as I am suppose to go to DD#1's birthday dinner at Red Lobster tomorrow. Don't want to miss that as I haven't been there since before Bill got sick in late 2017. That was our 'favorite' place to have dinner.

Hoping the weather cooperates.. as we are suppose to have snow either Sunday or Monday.

good afternoon - well I have been through two outpatient pt and wow they are much more intense than the in-home pt. But they have been very complimentary on how well I am doing. I told my DH this and he said they say that to everyone to make them keep coming LOL. My knee is sore but I do feel it is a good sore. But today I feel much more like a real person as I actually got out and had my hair done. That makes me feel so much better. And I walked with my cane to the hair cut store. Not that far but still by myself and my cane. My Devils so surprised me. They were playing the Wild and it started out 2-0 early in the first and since I cant stand the Wild I changed to other games. Well it turns out that they came back from being down 4-1 and won in OT by Nico Hischier. That makes me so happy. They play again tomorrow. The took Kinkaid out and put in Schneider and Schneider got the win his first win in 418 days. Yes more than a year! I think the team was more excited for Cory's win than for just the win. I know that our announcer was really happy! His call on the OT winner was really cool! "how do you spell relief C O R Y". I will try scrapping.

Trudy thanks for starting the tread I bet Chris is enjoying her trip! You sound busy. My sister's birthday is today. Happy birthday to your Heather. I wish I could be with my sister as you do with your Heather. Glad you got to the pool. Exercise so helps giving a happy attitude. Have fun with banister and painting.

Rae I can see you out with Taz having such fun! Have fun with D and watching shows.

Kay so glad you are feeling so much better. Nothing worse than bad food. Glad you threw the other away. My mom's favorite restaurant was Red Lobster. She loved lobster. My sister cracks me us when she calls shell food bugs from the sea. Have fun at daughter birthday dinner.

Waving to Jean and Felis! Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. I had a good day yesterday. Took Taz out for a long walk and got quite a workout on my legs, trying to wade through the slushy snow along the river path. Then we took Taz to his fave store (pet store) and stockedup on food and treats. They love him there and he gets so excited, zooming around, sniffing everything. I got to do a bit of scrapping and then we watched a movie. It was good but very brutal, very violent, called Polar. Then we finished off the night watching a few episodes of "New Amsterdam" (medical drama). Was in bed by 11 and had a pretty decent sleep.

Today we're heading up to spend the afternoon with B and since I never did get any baking done, I will later when we get home. I have some desk work to do so am going to get started on that this morning.

Trudy - yes, check my pinterest dessert boards. It's good to switch up the foods now and again although I find it's not like it was back in my carb loaded days, I don't crave foods and can eat the same foods for a long time before getting sick of them. But I do still rotate a few recipes/snacks now and then but I find I cycle thru the same 5-6 things. Our snow is slowly melting and it looks like little or no snow this wk so I'm glad it looks like we're through the worst of it. I'm ready for spring now :)

Kay - glad you are feeling better. I agree with throwing out the rest of the chicken, better safe than sorry.

Nancy - you are the rock star of rehab :) So glad to hear your progress continues so well. Bet it felt great to get out to get your hair done.

Have a great day, everyone!

Hello ladies,
such a lovely Sunday! I wake up from the sun shining thru the window and smells of buns with rosehip marmalade which my mom bake. Had a lazy morning with small tasks and then almost the whole family (except my sister which working today) spend the whole afternoon in garden work. It's a lovely sweater weather and most neighbours was outside, so it was noisy everywhere, not only in my little circus. It was so emotive to watch how sad is my neighbor's dog which think is part of my pack but she is stopped by the net fence to come and play with us. I need to order some new cat collars, because they always take them off, and was out without bells which is irresponsible. I hear one very interesting bird to sing into the near garden and my old friend: the home owl or The little owl I'm not exactly sure how you call it on latin is Athene noctua, come with the twilight. Spring in his total beauty. I still have some snow pics to scrap, but I feel it, too little too late.

Trudy, Happy Birthday to Heather! Wish her an awesome year! Oh I can understand you how partial is to celebrate online, but at least don't have to wait whole mont for letter as at previous centuries. Did her brother's family was able to go on her party or weather wasn't cooperating for traveling? Oh, replace the carpet is in my wishlist too, so fingers crossed to can convince Gary for that!

Rae, enjoy your quiet day! Your plans sounds very good! Oh and your valentine's day date description of donuts and watching the falling snow was so romantic, I'm happy for you!
Ups, Rae you are post before me, this time I remembered to refresh the page. I plan the movie night too. I'm not familiar with this movie, but I watch these days Hell or High Water it's sad and action, but was really good because shows real people. It's silly but the mass opinion here is that is enough to go to America to become a rich. This movie shows the reality not the Hollywood ideal. Have a fun with B! And I'm not surprised, at all, that everybody love Taz, he is so pretty and smart!

Nancy, I'm seriously doubt that they make compliments to every patient, here with sure prefer to murmuring you so to underline how much they have to work with you. I'm sure you're an exception. Oh also so good that this game was successful for your Devils, hope to continue the good line!

Kay, nice to hear that you're feeling better! Happy birthday and best wishes to your daughter too! I hope you'll be able to go on a festive dinner! It sounds like your brain resists to the good memories which probably are painful now, but I know you are stronger than the pain!

Thank you, Jeannette, have a nice Sunday too!

I know that other tell it already, but I also hope that Chris will be able to get actual relaxing time with her family, and deserved break from the worries!

Oh, and Jean, I really miss your posts and hope you are busy with interesting projects!

good day - I slept until 9am. It felt good but I am not sure that I am awake yet. My knee was not happy but then this am it was happy again once it got moving. I have a very do nothing day today. The Devils play the Sabres but since there is a threat of snow I am passing as I really don't want to slip or fall. I am watching a bit of the women's hockey the USA vs Canada. It is great hockey. The women are so talented and skilled. It is great that the in game analyst and intermission panel are women.

Rae sounds like you had a wonderful night with D. My son and I just watch Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them. It was a fun movie. Have a great time with B this afternoon. Hope the desk work goes fast.

Felis so good to see the post. Your day in the garden sounds wonderful. I bet it will be so ready when spring really comes. You are so lucky to have an owl and I bet in his breeding plumage his is gorgeous. Thanks I hope my Devils win too!

Have a great day all!
