Hi girlies....I will cruise right through here...I am cooking up a storm....the baby shower is TODAY!! YAY!! sorry to have confused you all so much about that!!...My kitchen has been going since 7....smells good!! Appears all who were invited will be coming....YAY!! DD is very excited and is not letting her SIL get to her....we have been talking a lot about it...and I think I have managed to get her to see that SIL is just miserable and trying to make her miserable too....so she has taken the high road!! and just not going to worry with it!!....She is however miserable and ready to have this baby (about 30 days) She is having a planned C-section...so unless our little princess decides to come early...Sept 1 is the day!

I am off...will leave you guys some love later...prob tomorrow!

Have a FAB weekend ladies!!! (((HUGS))):p

Yay Linda for the shower!! Hope you have a fantastic time!

I stayed up too late yet again and am paying for it. =) I didn't get most of my challenges done, but oh well.

We might go play today, but not sure what the plans are. =) Hope everyone has a great day. Talk to you later!

Yay Linda!!!!! Wooot!!!! I agree...don't let SIL suck your joy away!! Enjoy your day!!!

Sarah - ((hugs)) Go grab some coffee :) I sure know that feeling!

Today is going to be a fun day here....it's warm and sunny for once :) Mother Nature must have heard me complain with my layout Rain Rain Go Away so we are totally taking advantage and having a BBQ with family. We are getting ready in a few to run a few quick errands and then we are all getting in the pool :) Hope you all have a fabulous one!

Good Saturday morning my lovely-Os!

LindaW-have a fab time at the shower! Wish I were there helping you cook {meaning I would taste test LOL}! ooooh a Sept baby! Amanda was born Sept 12 :), what a summer that was ugh, I bet your DD is soooo ready to be done with it by now, especially with the heat!

Kat-BBQ sounds great, especially the pool!! Don't forget the sunscreen :) and have fun!

Sara-hi sweetie! LOL about FB, I am going to try and find you again. This is crazy! Have a great day doing whatever you do!

Hi to everyone who pops in and have a great day! Love you all :).

Good morning ladies!

Linda W--have a great time at the shower. And happy that your daughter has you to talk through things! Love a kitchen full of good smells at 7 a.m.

Sara--get some caffeine pumped in and you'll be good to go ;-)

Kat--sounds like a great day in store for you guys; I think it's too cool for a pool her today; don't know for sure what we're going to do; I'm off work on Monday so it makes me feel relaxed today; trying to decide whether to start school shopping yet

Dawn--hope you have a great day today, however you decide to spend it

just a quick hi... it was shoe shopping this morning for school, and I ended up with a terrible headache!

Sandra, both kids needed shoes this past week. Their tennis shoes just both got too small at the same time. Ugh... So we got one pair each and need to add another pair before school starts!

yeah Will and Piper both got new shoes... luckily they're having sales right now... Piper wanted a pair of Wizards of Waverly Place shoes... a little wedge hill tennis-shoe like pair and Will got a pair of Transformers and GI Joe shoes - all those came from Payless... then we hopped over to Shoe Carnival and picked up Piper a pair of regular tennis shoes... and it was a zoo out there today since school starts back on the 12th!

Wow! I can't believe that you start back to school on the 12th. Ours don't go back until the 27th. Still, I think tomorrow may be a day for buying some more school shoes. Before the zoo begins!

I had my caffeine. =) We ended up going to the IL's for most of the day. It's o.k. there, but more awkward now as SIL has really begun to affect her mom. The kids had fun mostly. I've got a little stomach thing, so we didn't stay as long as we probably would have.

Ben's got a cold though, it wasn't too bad during the day, but when we got home and he settled down it seemed to hit him more. I'm sure we'll both get over it quickly.

Teachers go back to school here on the 12th and kids come on the 14th. So I feel your pain Sandra. =) Lynda - I bet you guys go until June though right? I always remember the trade off. We start earlier, but when the end of May rolls around, we are always done! =)

Tomorrow afternoon we are going kayaking. I'm excited. It's been about a year since we went last and I loved it. As long as the gorgeous weather we've been having holds out! =)

I'm working on my August OStash challenge. =) Trying to get a jump on things this time around. =)

Yes Sara. We go through June 2. And that's without snow days which seems very unlikely to me. :-) I would prefer to start a few days earlier and end with Memorial Day. Hard to get much learning done in the two days after Memorial Day IMHO.

So Linda W...where are you? How did the shower turn out? Can't wait to see some layouts!

Good Morning my lOves!
I am simply in shock that it is August already. It si crazy. Everyone has been saying how it barely feels like summer has started and here it is... August.

Yesterday turned out so nice though, finally day that seemed like summer. We stayed over at my BFF's and went to the pool yesterday. Good thing we didn't plan for today b/c guess what it is doing here today?

.....

Pouring rain-- again! I was hoping for some yard work today... but I guess I can catch up on my scrapping! LOL

I have to look at it positively- no issues on our well drying up this year. ;)

As of this moment, the rest of the week looks great so I am hopeful that we can pull off the garage sale Friday and Sat.

Linda W- how was the shower?? High fives to Sharon for being the "big" one.

Linda S- it still is crazy for me to think that you go back to school Aug 12! That is when we are going to PA for our vacation.

Sandra and Linda S-- Ugh- shoe shopping with kids is never fun! Boys are really easy when they are older. All Scott wears is jeans and t-shirts and my mom got him a pair of Slayer Vans. He's pretty much done :)
Cait, I struggle with -- she wants high(ish) heels. No way! But she is in the "in between" sizes stage where she can go between girls (too "babyish according to her) and women's (too grown up according to me!)

Sara- how are you and Ben feeling?

Dawn- LOL about you helping taste test :D Caitlyn was due Oct 4, but was born Sept 21. I hear ya on the miserable summer that was. Brutal! I was pg with Scott over the winter, and I think it was the one and only winter I didn't freeze my tukus off!

Kat- hope you enjoyed your day yesterday- is it raining by you too today? Bah- what a summer.... ;)

xoxoxo to you all!

Hi everybody!! We are home at last! Rolled in last night at around 9. All in all, it was a nice time up in PA. I was less than 2 hours away from Christine aka Miss Crow, but couldn't get away from the fam to visit her. Too bad, as I'm sure her house is filled with incredible treasures and things she's made.
I usually dread seeing the in-laws a bit, just because they are so different from me and they all smoke, which REALLLLLY gets to me, especially when I'm pregnant, but I have to say, it went really well. I got along great with my mom in law, so that was worth the trip alone. Also I have bazillions of new pictures to scrap, so I'll be doing that this coming week.
Right now we have our unpacking to do, and I did such a good job of getting the place cleaned up/out before we left that we are almost totally out of groceries, so we need to take care of that. But I think I'll be back in business tomorrow!
It's great to be back!!

Good Morning....

You won't believe this...but I slept 11 hours last night....guess my body just finally gave out!! I feel like a truck ran over me this morning...but DH has gone to get some breakfast, and then I am going to get a shower, I should feel good as new....I will be back after that to leave you ladies some love!! As for the babyshower...It went really well and DD was really happy!! All I could have asked for!!

I am back...refreshed and ready to get started today...HA!!! 1 pm....a little late!!

Sara....hope you got some extra sleep too last night!! and I see you have gotten an early start on your challenges for this month...WOO HOO!!:p Hope you and Ben get over your sick bugs ((HUGS)) and oooohhh Kayaking...HAVE FUN FOR ME TOO!!

Kat...YAY for a day with no rain!! Guess your page worked...I left you some love!! Hope you had fun at your BBQ!!

Dawn...my sweet snappy little friend!! You can come taste test for me anytime! there was a lot too....I brought back quite a bit....we split it up and both DD's got to take home quite a bit! But I inherited that from my mother....better to have too much than not enough!! Luckily for Sharon..it's been a weak summer...so she hasn't really been beat up by the heat...but she does still have all of August to go!!

LindaS and Sandra....I remember the buying shoes for school days....always had to have two pair of tennis shoes (good ones and play ones) and dress shoes....but mine didn't get a lot of say in it until they were in middle school....times have changed!!! Thanks for all the well wishes on the shower!!

Chris...YAY for a great day for you too!! sorry for the rain today...we are cloudy and overcast...it rained early this morning....so I am told...I wasn't up!! sounds like a great week ahead!!

Andrea....can't wait to see your pics....scrapping...and sounds like all went well...have fun unpacking..ugghhh...worst part of a trip!!

(((HUGS)))) to you all!!!

HellooO all! DH and I went for a ride today, hit the Nature Center, and had burgers at a local drive-in. Then rode some more....and it hit me. Stomach bug, or it was the food, don't know. DH is fine so i guess it's just me....it's horrible cramping and....well...you know. I've been sweating profusely and cold at the same time...slept a couple of hours and now just cramping after taking Imodium. ugh!!!!

So anyway, the Nature Center was awesome...they were doing a Hummingbird Festival, I've never seen so many hummers all at once. They were catching them and banding them. There were artists set up with paintings and photographers with their work. Just really cool. I got to see all of my favorite animals there..we go a couple of times a yr and I just love the animals, they are ones that have been injured and are either going through rehab to be released or some are there for life. But halfway through I started feeling bad so we didn't stay as long as I'd have liked....which DH was happy about LOL.

LindaW-sounds like y'all had a great time! This summer has been kind of weird, hasn't it?! not as hot here as usual, today on the bike it was actually cool...I loved it. That's a blessing for your DD and her pregnancy! Hopefully August won't be bad either.

Sara-kayaking!!! I'm jealous! I can't get DH to try it....I love canoeing and even just rowing a fishing boat...I just love to row LOL. Hope you had fun!

Chris-another rainy day? ugh! We had a little rain here last night but today was clear and gorgeous :). Hope you had fun scrapping!

LindaS-how are you? Our schools start this Thurs and Fri. Kids here usually are out before Memorial Day but this yr some went til June because of the time missed during our ice storm in January, some were out for 2wks+.

Sandra-I was thinking about your job...that sounds like my kind of place...you kind of get to set your own hrs, right? I'd love that LOL....problem is I'd never want to work ;).

Andrea-good to see you back! Glad you had a nice time :).

hi Kat! hi everyone who pops in :). xoxoxoxoxo I'm so happy y'all can't catch my tummy bug through here LOL.

just finished with dinner... a new recipe for fried chicken and a homemade mac&cheese recipe... hubby LOVED the chicken and so did Matthew... as usual Will and Piper liked nothing and had cereal *sigh* I think Matthew's getting sick.. he's had this little cough but it sounds like it's starting to get worse... good grief does it never end?

Dawn - it is... I was fortunate in that I am only required to work 8 hours a month since my position is casual... if I had been part-time or full-time I'd have been in trouble because I wouldn't have been there long enough for paid time off...

back to work for me tomorrow... gotta finish some laundry!

Hey chicas...this is the first time in a LONG time that I've sat down on a comfy chair with my laptop to just scrap and veg!!! :) So I may get some pages done tonight! YAY!!!

First of all, semi-sad news...our AC is broken upstairs! UGH!!! So it's 10 degrees hotter upstairs than downstairs. The semi-sad part is that we may be getting a new AC instead of coming to Coz. It would be tragic if that were the case!!! But as we are in the middle of refying our house, all of our extra pennies are wrapped in that. So we were already struggling to get there. I'm going to try extra hard in the next few weeks to sell a bunch of stuff on Ebay to get some extra cash so I can bring Mr Gorgeous down there!! He NEEDS a vacation desperately!! (that's why it's semi...cause i may make him use ffmiles and then pay for the resort myself!!) we'll see!!

In other news, we've been having a blast with friends coming over this weekend. We have dear friends who have never left their children for longer than two days at a time that finally decided to go on a second honeymoon!! And they left their four kiddos with us for the weekend, then I'll take them back home to stay with their grandmother for the rest of the week (they come home on Thursday!). So it's been fun seeing what life would be like with 8 kids!! last night we had a total of 11 kids playing and eating here. two went home and we had 9 spending the night and going to church with us this morning. Fun, Fun, FUn!!! :) they are very easy kids because the older two are used to taking care of the younger two. And they are virtually the same age as my kids and their older two are BFFs with our older two! :)

This week, I only have football camp to contend with, as far as extra stuff to do. So our regular crazy Monday: football camp, gymnastics, lunch, taking our extra kiddos home, music lessons, voice lessons, art lessons, dinner, BED!!! :) I'm sure I'll crash with a movie on tomorrow night!! Mr Gorgeous will still be here this week, so I'm doing okay!! :)

okay...I'm off to scrap now that I've unloaded all of that!! heehee!!

love you all!!!

Oh Sally, I'm so sorry to hear about the AC. I'm sorry for you...and sorry for me if you don't get to Cozumel! Nevertheless, we're pumped around here. And my niece is very excited to be coming!

We spent the day at a State Park. I hadn't been there since I was Sydney's age. The kids and I were playing in the water. Shaun had on his new tennis shoes for school and wading in the water. It's ok...I knew we were going to be getting at least one more pair. Sydney had on flip flops that kept sliding off and floating in the water. Then we all hiked up this huge set of stairs...and more stairs...and more stairs. Brian joined us for that hike. It was just a perfect day!

Linda W...can't believe that you got 11 hours of sleep! Your body must have been totally exhausted. So glad that you got a chance to catch up.

I'm off work tomorrow so I'll be around! A wonderful treat!
