whooooo...it's the last of the summer push...I can tell!!

I have 8 teenagers here that are hanging all day today and tomorrow. They get together and do videos. Very interesting!!

so i'm working today in the craft studio...Sooo happy to finally get some time to just finish (and start!) projects! I have a million going! Tonight I'm going to get part 3 of my four you mini kit series going!! It's sooo fun!!! (hope you girlies are enjoying it!)

Lots of flooding here in Iowa! We've had some water in the basement but only the unfinished side. But I've got friends who've had lots of water! And a young teenage girl lost her life last night when her car was swept away. There were also adults in West Des Moines who couldn't get out of their basement apartments because of the suction of the water rising against the doors. Scary stuff.

Now, for the good side of things. I've got the next two days as vacation. The kids are going to VBS tonight, Brian has a house to show, and I'm going to Mom's house and gettting the air mattress out and floating around the pool all by myself. :-) The nieces are also at VBS so I really do get to have an hour tonight in the pool all by myself. Can you say relaxing??

Tomorrow the kids have their last day of gymnastics camp so I'm going to parents day. Then, in the afternoon, get to meet the reading teacher. I'm feeling happy, happy, happy!!!
 
evening- sitting in the hotel room in Cicero NY- at dinner lakeside-and had salt potatoes -mmmmmmmm- truly a central NY treat- little potatoes boiled in very salty water and served in a sea of butter- I've missed them since I moved to Ohio- saw my aunt today- glad I was able to stop in, she has maybe 3 months left, just turned 90 several weeks ago and then they found out she has a brain tumor that made it impossible for her to find words or talk. She had a dose of steroids that helped for the past 2 weeks, but most likely is wearing off. Tomorrow we head further north to Lake Placid after we visit dh parents in Plattsburgh!
 
hey ladies. just wanted to say hi real quick. back from myrtle beach and ready to start settling into NC life. all i have for internet is my phone but i'm hoping to check in more.

i had so much fun playing with nana, i just have to say. it was the coolest thing seeing the kids playing together and just sitting in that miserable heat chit chatting. i loved it. we're already planning future rendevous. it'll be great.
