Mistress of Mayhem
I usually don't start these threads, but I'm excited today, so I have to! Guess what we did yesterday?! We tested a car! :car: DH have a meeting with the bank on Thursday, but she said it's just a formality, we can lend the money.

Soon to be mine:

Or DHs to be accurate LOL

Today:
gyn visit - not as fun as getting a car LOL

Morning Eva! how wonderful on the car! I am trying to get excited about returning to work after 4 days off. My favorite part about the trip- breakfast at the hotel. It was included in our package deal. It was held in the colonial room- tons of mirrors and chandeliers abounded. Real china and wait staff that was right there to serve you. By the third day we did not even have to ask for our orange juice. The buffet had the best assortment of fruit- this am- hmmm back to oatmeal and raisins - I think not sure I have enough milk!

Eva- how cute is that car!!! Great news for you both.
Have "fun" today ha. I still need to make my appt for the gyn since I am years overdue....

Laurie the hotel; sounds beautiful! It always stinks having to come back in eat in your own kitchen with food you have to cook yourself.

I am using my last free day to get organized and somewhat prepped for the busy month ahead. I started spackling the walls in my dining room and in the hallway to top them off with a fresh coat of paint. The dining room wall gets killed because the cats will jump into the windowsill and their nails dig long scratches in the wall. But we are having a big party here in 2 1/2 weeks and I would like the house slightly nicer. The hard part for me is once I get started on a home improvement project, I want to keep going. The whole house needs to be painted and the vinyl siding needs to be power-washed. Hedges need trimming too. And the rugs of course need steam cleaning. But I want to do fun stuff...... like get new photo frames and wall decals and new accent pieces.
Maybe if I spend some time on Pinterest today I can pin lots of ideas that will....never get done.... :pound:

Off to the supermarket with Scott. Both kids are so picky that it actually makes it easier to bring one at a time with me. But this will be the last time for a while since they will be back at school soon.

Gary has a quick visit with his Lyme dr. He needs to be seen ever 4 weeks while on IV. *fingers crossed* that she might has some more meds and/or supplies donated.

Tip on Tuesday:
When you get an Escrow Refund check, deposit it and pay bills quickly or you will get the idea that you can actually use it to buy fun stuff...... :/

Yesterday's posts:

Linda S- whew! Great idea to get some snuggle time in!

Trudy- eek for big spiders!!! Can't wait to see the pics of you and your sisters!!

the 7 deadly zins strike again!

ITA Phyllis-- you are never boring here. Hope your page came out amazing or if not, it flows through you today!

xoxoxo to all of you!

Eva, will it be RED, too, or is the photo just an example? in the USA, red cars are called "cop magnets," since they seem to draw the attention of policemen as you speed down the highway. it's a cute car, though!

Laurie, i can't remember what it's ACTUALLY like going back to work after a holiday. it's been so long since i had a job where i had to show up someplace besides home. i usually have to deal with Hubby's attitude prob when HE has to go back to work after a holiday. he starts saying things like: :pout: "well...these are the last few hours i have free for this weekend. back to work tomorrow." (grumbles something and slinks into the family room to pout in his chair.) sounds like your hotel was wonderful. there's nothing like someone else cooking for you. particularly breakfast.

Chris, make the blasted GYN appointment. am i going to have to come over there and MAKE you??!! i have to admit to being SO impressed with a girl who is spackling her walls, though. but that doesn't get your gyn appointment done, girl. it's important to take of yourself. we can't do without you!!!

today. hmmm. going to the grocery store. hopefully all the Men with Shopping Carts are OUT OF THERE, so i can shop in peace. then i have to try to figure out what i'm going to wear to my festive 45TH high school class reunion a few weekends hence. :scared: i am old. i finished the blasted page i was working on all day yesterday. Anna needed the CT to do pages for a digi magazine article featuring her and several of her ArtPlay Palettes. i was having a hell of a time. :noidea: then i think i better do some vacuuming and dusting. my house is starting to look abandoned....

it's Tuesday, not Monday. i will be messed up on the day for the rest of this week. hope your head is straight on what day it is and you have some fun in the midst of all the work!

Wow what a nice car Eva, looks wonderful!

That sounds wonderful Laurie, it's always nice when you don't have to make your meals yourself!

That is nice to do, shopping with only one child. We do that to, this way they also have some alone time and here they get to pick a dessert when they come with us ;)
I hope the doctor got more donated for Gary!

good luck with the vacuuming and dusting in your house Phylis!

Here a busy day with some appointments in the morning, but a more relaxing afternoon. Luc and Nik are on their way back from school, my hubby is picking them up. Our eldest is having a playdate now (already at the second day on the new school ... yay for that :D), so I'll pick him up later and Wes goes by bus to school, he will be brought home in about an hour. Now I have to think about what to have for supper ...

Morning ladies... Can't stay here today, off to work for a full shift today, but hopefully most of it in the back office with my buddy. Statements have to get done and three days worth of bank deposits. Sorry still no pics of my sister's place, haven't had much time here, hubby has been keeping me busy doing lots of yard work and we went on a 3 hour hike yesterday, beautiful day down by the river and only came across a couple of guys that were fishing. It was so peaceful and scenic!
Hope everyone has a great Tuesday (this should be my day off!!) Only working three days this week then I get friday off again. So it seems I will lose my Tuesdays off and they will be switched to Friday?? Who knows, with this crazy boss of mine  Anyway going to try to enjoy this day, hope you do too!

Alegna, YAY for playdates!! it sounds like you have a complicated schedule!

Laurie, at least you'll get to sit down if you're working on the statements! Friday will be a good day to have off, right?

Good morning everyone!!!!!!!!! First day of school for 7 kids today!!!!!!! and one in KG gosh that's so sad... My DH brought him, I couldn't bear it sniff sniff!!!!!! So eeerily quiet today with only 2 littles at home! I'm getting the house pretty clean so far though... YAY but OH MY WORD the pile of laundry accumulated over the weekend BRUTAL so working my way through that but happy that there isn't always someone on my computer evertime I turn around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So as soon as I'm caught up around here I'm having me some SCRAPTIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope everyone's day is going well so far!!!!!!!

Eva, will it be RED, too, or is the photo just an example? in the USA, red cars are called "cop magnets," since they seem to draw the attention of policemen as you speed down the highway. it's a cute car, though!

It's the exact car. :)
Without the commercial stickers of couse :)

Go, Eva! What a cute, very red car.
Maybe red attracts cops if they're sporty, but it seems like a lot of red cars here are driven by old folks like us.
