Hi ladies.... I'm starting the thread with a bit of bad news.... Maureen posted on DD late evening that her daughter had a clot or most likely a tumor..... they were to do a procedure last night.... I copied her exact words ... Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts.

"Liz's condition is pretty serious. The MRI shows a mass behind her eye & is "significant". The ent doctor will be doing a biopsy tonight or tomorrow am. Then more information and more decisions. It still COULD be a blood clot but most likely is a tumor.*

Your prayers have been so very welcome. Thank You! "

Good morning everyone.

Maureen, you have every last bit of good thoughts and healing for your DD.
Please please let us know if there is anything we can do for you!

Maureen has had more than her share of tragedy in recent years. i am praying so HARD that this turns out to be something that can be addressed and that there's a happy ending. sometimes it's all just too much. thanks for posting this, Deb.

Oh such sad, sad news to wake up too!! Thanks for letting us all know Deb! Of course Maureen has all of us behind her sending prayers and healing thoughts her way for her Dear Daughter!!

Thank you Deb for posting this. I also did an update here. Lots of friends, lots of place to share the good and bad news.

You know we have had a lot of hard things in the past few years but we've also had so many many good things. It's kind of like a good relationship....lots of good times but the occasional blip of hard or sad ones.

Many of you don't know that Dick's granddaughter Bekah died of aplastic anemia in September 2010. It was a horrendous decline as they treated and treated her until her parents finally had to make the decision to stop treatment on a 6 yr old child. But we found out that Sharlah our dil is pregnant - a surprise to both of them!! - and will have a baby in June. :)

Life goes on... and one thing is that the couple who are raising my daughter's child are loving and kind and it's a mixed race marriage so Lotus LOOKs like she could be their daughter too. Knowing that she will always be cared for is a big relief.

Other than that I'm eating a very late breakfast and Dick and I plan to go up to Baltimore after lunch. Maybe I'll get out and walk in the frigid air before we go just cause I want to, need to and sitting in a hot dry hospital is exhausting.

Did anyone read the awful line...Sitting is the new smoking! Does it still count if I never smoked????
