Love my O Family!
CHEERY O
Good Morning and Happy Labor Day to those who celebrate!
My oldest will be here later today on her way to work in SC for the week. She will spend the night and then finish her trip tomorrow.
My third is going to try to be here later today to visit with her sister, too, but she and her family are traveling back from a weekend up north, so they may or mayn't make it for the visit as tomorrow will begin another work week for her, too. I'll take whoever is able to make it!
No plans for the holiday than what I've already done.....sweep, dust, straighten, trash emptied, laundered towels, made our bed. Mark is helping his daughter with some errands today. I got the AJ GC announcement sent. I need to post a CP layout and work on another one. I'm fixing hamburgers and corn on the cob for our supper with the girls and am getting ready to put a blackberry cobbler in the oven....actually, I think I will wait and bake it later so we can add vanilla ice cream on top to melt! YUM!

OK, I've gotten this party started for today. What are your plans! Whatever they are, be safe and have a great day!

Good Morning!
No plans here other then its another Monday so laundry and cleaning the house. Will pickup my stinky teen from a weekend camping trip. The youth group leader in charge told the kids in the pre camp meeting that they had to pack deodorant :floorlaugh: Not much happening today. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Oh the Joys of having Boys! At least, I'm "assuming" you are talking about a boy! ;)

Busy as can be. In the middle of getting all the laundry done... :laundry: What a pain it has been as I had to carry the hamper into the utility room and sort the laundry into baskets in the hallway. I usually sort them in the master bath but not taking chances with them in there. Washing everything in HOT WATER and drying it on HOT TEMPs. Then cleaning the dryer filter off each time and putting the lint into a zipped bag which will go outside into the trash as soon as it is all done. I am folding laundry on the living room couch (usually use the master bed but not right now!!!)

I am waiting for a call-back from a Professional bug-killer guy. Hope he can come over tomorrow for the free inspection and quote then maybe do the job on Wednesday. I know it will cost mega-$$$ but I am not able to do it myself. Decided that I had better have him look at the guest room, too.

I did get a few LOs uploaded while all the laundry loads are washing/drying... Then I plan on taking the rest of the day off!!!

I wore my jacket and real shoes and socks for this morning's bike ride and wished I had my gloves! Hello, September! It is beautiful, although August was super dry and I'm worried it will impact the autumn colors. David has been restaining the deck and I think he's almost done; I'm glad he has had good weather for that.

I am reading Wide Sargasso Sea for my book group, and when I finished it, I was so confused. It didn't seem to make sense. So I looked at a study guide and it was talking about a bunch of stuff that I did not remember. Did I sleep through that part of the book? I went back and tried to match the study guide to the book and.... just not happening. I looked for another copy online and found a pdf that was basically a xerox of the original book. Sure enough, my copy (an ebook I got online) was missing bout 40 pages from the middle. Not sure whether to be relieved I finally get the story, or irritated that it took so much work. To be honest, I didn't particularly like the book, which makes having to work hard at it worse!

When I asked my granddaughter about first day of fifth grade last year, her big story was since there's only one window in the classroom, the teacher made a rule that everyone has to wear deodorant. She just thought that was hilarious. Kids!

@BrightEyes You are working hard at that bug search! I hope you can come up with some sort of answer. I guess I would be relieved not to find bugs in a trap by my bed, but a solution would be nice!

A new month, so new challenges! I'll go check them out.

Good morning ladies. I am enjoying a day at home aside from dog walking. I will get some jewelry design done (another market this wkend) and want to get some house chores done. Laundry is piling up too. It's hot here this wk so I'm happy to be indoors. Next week will cool off quite a bit which will be nice for dog walking. I haven't gone to the weekly ladies walking group b/c of the heat so looking forward to getting involved in that again in a few wks. Later I am going to blend up some cashew/nutritional yeast/miso queso dip (cheese-free) for tonight with my tortilla chips. I usually buy it from costco but found a recipe to make my own. Hope it turns out.

Time to eat my pb&j toast with my last coffee of the day and then get out for a walk with Remi. HAGD everyone.

I wish I had a group of ladies close enough to share morning walks with! I might be more motivated to walk!

Last night our holiday gathering at the club was a great time. There was about 20 of us. Lots of food, drinks and games. One of our friends made fresh shrimp ( shrimp they just got at the dock) scampi that was super great. I used my grandmas recipe for potato salad and that was a huge hit we also grilled some kielbasa that we brought from CT. Today I took stuff back to trailer--- the clean sheets and towels, etc. I did some work in the yard. made a quick trip to Tractor Supply to get some cracked corn for the ducks and sunflowers for the songbirds. I washed the van. My friend called to ask me over for drinks with a few friends. She made wonderful drinks with her fresh papayas and they were so tasty. It was a nice afternoon. Had a quick dinner with hubby so now trying post some pages.

IKWYM b/c I wouldn't go if they didn't. It's always nice to have someone to urge you on and have someone to chat with.
Yes! For sure! My daughter stopped over for the night on her way to South Carolina and we walked in the woods. It was wonderful!
