Daily Ooo's Weekend edition May 12 & 13

LaurieW

lOve the O!
Morning all -I am up and full of energy- second cup of coffee! Planning the weekend- much to do - more than there is time for of course. Hugs and Prayers to you this weekend, Trudy.

I think we will head to the home improvement store after dance to buy flowers and assorted gardening stuff. Then home to plant and perhaps enjoy the sunshine and the grill as tomorrow it will be 10 degrees cooler and rainy. What are you doing this weekend??

Good morning Laurie!!
Your weekend sounds wonderful. I have to great ready for a bif Mother's Day Dinner here this afternoon. Of course, it is Murphy's Law that says as soon as you steam clean the carpet, it takes less than 24 hours for someone to mess it up. This time it was Ravyn who puked. Why is that??
This morning I have to finish cleaning the house and get the green beans and pasta recipe prepped. Actually, first I have to find a good but easy green beans recipe. Normally I just saute in butter and garlic. meh-- I just might do that again.

I also have to baby proof my house!! It has been years since I have had to do that. I already put in outlet covers. Why is is that babies *love* outlets?
Last, I have two tomato plants that I have to get in the ground. I was planning on doing it tomorrow but they changed the weather to rain here too. :(

Yesterday, I was soooo tired by the time I got home from work I felt sick. So i was a good girl and I took a nap! Which would have been awesome if Gary hadn't called me twice. First time he leaves the house (off of our street) in weeks (months??) and he has to call me and wake me up. Sheesh!! LOL
Last night we went over to my neighbors to have pizza and some drinks. There is a director who is shooting a vampire movie in West Milford. Cait's friend has a speaking role (just a few lines, but still very cool!) and my neighbors house and trail will be in it-- either in the movie or as photo shoots. (This house is the one that I clean, the guy that has all of the weaponry/iron maiden/etc that I have a tendency to break). I wasn't planning on going at all, but i was glad that I did even if it was just for an hour or so. Its always cool to see movie and say "hey I had pizza and beer with that dude." heheh!

I will be back for personals in a bit. But Trudy, lots and lots of good thoughts and peace and love coming to you and your Gary. I am sure the eulogy will be wonderful and heartfelt and even if he breaks down, it will be from the heart and perfect. Love you!

Ugh! Just got off of the phone with the Credit Card Fraud Division. Someone made a charge to a "charitable organization" for $100 yesterday using my card. Now, you know me, I love to donate when and what I can, but $100? Not a chance!!! My donations are usually in the $5-$10 range with a note saying I wish I could do more.

*eye roll*

The good thing is that the credit company was right on it, closed the account and we'll be good to go. I wish I could have claimed that everything else on that account was bogus too :pound:

From yesterday:

Everyone was really quiet, hope you all are ok!

Laurie- nope, don't think that your boss would like you going to work in your robe but I bet it would have been comfy!

Phyllis- Nope, you don't want to drop a Rowenta on your toes!Did you get all of your yard work done? Hope you didn't push yourself too hard (pot, meet kettle LOL). In some ways it is actually easier to clean someone else's house than my own. I don't get the same distractions and as long as I keep moving I am ok. Its when I get back home that I crash.

Trudy-- no one in your family is going to care if your house is messy or dusty. They will be so happy to be together, and everyone understands. (again pot, meet kettle. You would think that I would take some of my own advice that I give so freely to all of you!!! Buhahaha!)

Eva- *fingers crossed for an easy sale for your mom and dad*

::grouphug and love to all!!

Hi ladies.....

I have been mia again....it's been a stressful week...but I survived.

The final straw was yesterday afternoon when Mike went up on the roof and then the kids saw blood on the window....I looked out and saw TONS of blood on the window sill and it was dripping down rapidly from the roof.....:scared:SCARED THE S#@T out of me!!!!! Fortunately all those horrid pictures than ran through my brain in a nanosecond were not the case. He had cut his the top of his hand on something, right on that big vessel on the top of your hand and it was spurting out everywhere.

But...today is another day.....Clara is coming to see me tonight....:clap2::clap2::whoo::whoo: she is picking her trailer up about an hour from my house then swinging by here!! This will be the third time we have met in person

I have errands today....first is to get Jaiden's glasses fixed AGAIN...a three yo is very hard on glasses....she manages to mangle them so badly!!

Trudy...  I am thinking of you sweetie!!!!

Trudy, thinking of you and your family. This will be hard, i think.

Nan, the blood story freaked me out! i can't imagine the panic i'd be in. hope Mike is OK. holy cow.

Laurie, enjoy your day in the sun!

Eva, hope the house sells soon. selling a house is SO stressful! the keeping it always CLEAN thing drives me nuts.

and speaking of blood, CHRIS, that vampire movie stuff sounds SOOO exciting. it's always fun having a movie company in the neighborhood. Wonderboys (Toby McGuire, Michael Douglas) was filmed in Pittsburgh and at at my son's high school. (Not much of the school is on the film. just the party scene inside the President of the school's house.) re: the likelihood of what you lean at home STAYING clean for a minute: is there some cosmic RULE about that?? no sooner do i clean something than my husband tracks in grass clippings or my cat pukes on it. never fails. about 3 days after i got my new really light beige carpet in the living room, and before there was even any FURNITURE in there, my cat went right in and puked.

the Edging Experience yesterday reminded me why i dread it. 3 hours on my knees with a trowel and hatchet, i'm only half done, and i spent the evening with shooting pains in my arms. had to ask the Hubster to rub my arms. today HE is going to do some edging. my BIL and SIL are coming over to enjoy the sunshine and some burgers later, so i might need my arms to prepare for that. no edging for me today. Freakin' Fibromyalgia. what a pain in the a*&.

off to do some picnic prep. have a great weekend, everyone!

Cleaning out stuff at mom's went better than the hockey yesterday (I hate Russia today ;) ) Tired - my back is hurting ... and in an hour it's Sweden vs. Italy. We gotta beat Italia! Right? Has anyone ever heard about Italian ice hockey???

Good morning...well I guess afternoon for some of you. Just a quick fly by :plane: as we head out the door to the Memorial Service. Such a gorgeous day!! The sun is shining not a cloud in the sky the Lake is like Glass and it is so nice and warm! Hard to believe we have to attend such a sad affair this afternoon. Hubby and I went for a nice long walk this morning and contemplated life.

Well better get moving, got lots to do before we head out. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and words!! Talk tomorrow! I love all of you!!! Thanks for listening !!

afternoon all - back from dancing and garden shopping- have lots of flowers and a new grill- the old one bit the dust and is down by the road- it will disappear within a week!

Bon giorno! :rain:

It's a rainy Sunday here at Lake Orta but that was predicted so we are mostly staying in and having a leisurely day. However, it will have to be meals out or go to the grocery store. There is a big supermarket about 5 miles away and you know I like to cook.

I made dinner last night and will prob do so again, with lunch out and then napping, reading or doing some work on photos. I'm using DayOne to journal each day and I'm going to get himself to tell me what he recalls from yesterday. The days start to blur when on vacation!

I got an email from my xh's wife, saying that the hosp needs someone to stay with our daughter while she finishes up her cancer radiation treatment. The friend she was with finally had to ask her to go. Sadly, I suspect she thinks she has been ill treated but far from it. My xh is going to stay with her in a hotel for the next two weeks. God help him! seriously!! My daughter's saga is sure amazing.

Have a wonderful week to all of you!

wow, Maureen. good luck to everyone involved in The Situation.

Trudy, i hope yesterday was OK. it is all so sad.

woke up with MUCH higher than usual blood sugar, for some unknown reason. the "beauty" of this disease is that so much of it is TOTALLY RANDOM. and i don't do well with RANDOM. i want REASONS!! :brick: so i guess i get to test myself a million times throughout the day, get on the treadmill and try to figure out what's going on. damn.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you. I'm pretty sure we all have had a faceful of both the good and the bad as we tackle that job. i salute every one of you. :humble:

Happy Mothers day to you too Phylis and to everyone else too! Woke up too late for early church, so will go to later, more full church. Off to pay bills and finish laundry or maybe go outside. Filled all the bird feeders yesterday and that should make for some good window entertainment watching them!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you fab ladies!

Mother's Day Eve dinner here was a total success. I think to took another 100 or so shots of my godson, so be prepared to see more pages of him in the gallery :)

ATM, my kids are up in the kitchen getting ready to make me b-fast.

Life is GOOD!!!!!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

We are going to the park to meet Sharon and her family for a few hours today and having a picnic. Then late afternoon I am taking the Jesse and Jaiden to see Traci for a bit. She really wants to see them today. I understand, and I just don't have the heart to say no.

My Mom is out of town visiting her brother, so I called her up there this morning and wished her a Happy Mother's Day.

Clara popped on over last night....it was so awesome to see her again!! She got to see first hand the craziness of my life. There were about 10 kids running around the yard like maniacs until almost dark. She proudly pulled up with her new trailer. I am really excited for her new adventure!!!

After she left I gave the kids a bath and fell into bed.

Well I need to head off and get a shower.....hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you Wonderful Women and amazing Mothers!!! I will be having a housefull today. A beautiful warm sunny day so I think we will all be eating dinner outside on the deck today. The Memorial for BIL was simply beautiful!! So many there, it was a packed house and so many wonderful tributes to him. My MG did a fabulous job on the Eulogy, with a few laughs and a few tears, but very nicely done!! My MG is amazing!! Many others spoke as well and all paid tribute to this lovely man!!

So I am off to the farm market to pickup some much needed fruit and veggies and then I have to vacum and get clean towels in the bathrooms as SIL and her boys will be spending the night. Better get going I'm burning daylight!!

Have a wonderful day everyone!! Hopefully things will be back to normal by tomorrow!

Good morning ladies! Happy Mother's Day all!

Trudy, so sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. Very glad to hear that the eulogy went well. Hope that you and your family have some good times today.

Linda, I bet you were scared to death when you saw that blood. Glad that you didn't drop over dead from a heart attack. And so glad that you got to spend some time with Clara. I'm sure that was crazy with all of the kids in the yard!

Well, I finally got those strawberries planted. Now to water them. I worked so hard in the garden today, I am heading to the hot tub to try to ease my sore muscles into moving again.
