The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Darn it, I initially typed August 9. I wish! This meandering of time is beating me up a bit mentally.

Yesterday went ok. I didn't do much in the way of anything productive. Well. I guess I did. Grocery pick up was fine. The Sept get-together date is chosen. And I spent a couple of hours in the backyard cleaning up some branches and leaves and weeds so it looks a bit nicer for it. The weather was beautiful and it really was nice to get the fresh air and change of scenery. The day ended with Caitlyn making us Blue Hurricanes- lemonade and blue curacao- with dinner.

Today I get to do my second favorite thing of all time after grocery shopping, pay bills. After that, I have to decide if I want to spend more time out back or work in my office and do filing. Actually, I need to make appts, for my mammo/ultrasound and my flu shot. There. I said it. Now I have to do it.

Gratitudes:
-that my family doesn't think I am strange for talking to the toads outside
-watching my family laugh
-snuggly rats and dogs

hugs to all of you, have a fantastic day!

Nancy- how did your DH do at school? Hope that there weren't too many issues that needed to be worked out.
That is fascinating that they are working on tear-resistant clothing for the cyclists.
Thanks fo the b-day wishes for Cait but her b-day is the 21st, it was Leah's day yesterday.
(ugh-- the 21st in less than two weeks away and I have *no idea* what to get her!!)

Kay- I saw that CO is breaking all sorts of weather records too. I hope that you don't lose power from the winds. It has to feel like you areliving ina hellscape between the fires, the winds, the heat, and then cold. Stay safe and warm!!
I am so happy that you got to spend time with DD#1.

Thank you both for the sweet words, I know that just listening is doing something, I just hate it that it doesn't feel like it is *enough.* xo

Brrr-rrr-rrr!!! It is cold this morning. Woke up to 40* but with the wind-chill it felt like 33*! We had snow on the mountain but not down here in the valley ... just got rain. Tried to get a photo of the snow on the mountain, but there are a lot of low clouds over it. Our side of town was lucky - we didn't lose power during the storm. Glad I was able to find a support for the new tree and get it in place before the worse of the winds hit. This morning, the weather gal said that we jumped from August heat to November cold overnight. Won't last long though... will be back up into the low 80's in a couple of days. Yep, today is a perfect day for using the oven... meatloaf and apple crisp are on the menu. Yummy!!! Not going to turn the A/C over to heat as the house is still at 76*. Glad it is so well insulated. I need to go to the store for several things... been out of liquid coffee creamer since last Thursday. Hope the crowds won't be so bad.
