Stick a fork in me- I am done:boink: Yes yes, it is only 6 am and I have only been up for an hour. At least technically. I rolled over last night at 1am, and my hip started hurting like crazy and I couldn't get comfortable. Got up to put some pain gel on it. still no luck. I tossed and turned --verrrry slowly-- for another 2 hours. Then As it passed 3 am, I started to freak out b/c my alarm goes off at 5! I did end up falling back asleep but then I was having dreams that I was still awake. Totally *not* a restful sleep.

I had a successful but long day yesterday- by dinner time I was feeling it. Shop Rite went ok, I brought a big water bottle and sipped it to stay hydrated, so minimal shaking. I got a call from the Dog Training Lady- I am signing Jaida up for obedience training that runs at out local dog park. We also got rid of Gary's old car that had the bottom drop on it over the summer. They paid us $160 to take it. $150 of that is going to the Obedience Training. Easy come, easy go! Jaida is doing really well, but she is too strong for her to not be 100% under command.

Then came the most exciting part of the day. As part of the Survivor Swag Bag at Relay for Life, we were given Vouchers from a local photographer. Mine was for a Double Makeover Photo Shoot and $100 towards portraits. I had been emailing with her, and we have an appt for the 23rd, since school is closed that day.

The photog seems young and chatty and we seem to have hit it off very well. I warned her that Cait and I are "a bit" kooky:loco: but she said that that makes it much more fun. We have to pick out some favorite outfits- as well as one that coordinates with each other (no no, NOT mom and DD plaid wide collar shirts and corduroy bell bottoms! Since we mostly wear grey and black we will match that way.
I might not be able to afford more than one portrait but I think the experience of it will be awesome!

Today I am off in search of a b-day present for Leah with my mom. Going to be hot here again. Everything is so brown and dry and wilted.

Hope that you all have a super day!

Sorry that I never made it back yesterday, I meant to but seemed like every time I tired something else interrupted me.
I did get to see Scott last night- we all had dinner together before he headed in to work. He makes me laugh so much. I don't know what I would do if I had kids who were normal LOL

Shar- yes, I saw that PW Frappachino recipe. I need to stalk more of Ms. P's page. I wish she would come back!!! Who else will be my fellow and very vocal Weather Bitch this winter???
The little man in my LO yesterday is my godson, he was the ring bearer at a wedding this summer- how handsome he is! 4 years old now. I am so proud!
Can't wait to hear about the bread! Making me hungry!!!
Happy birthday to Gaving, and his day sounds like it was a lot of fun.

How did your meeting go, Jean? Was this a genealogy one?

Trudy- I saw one of the pics you posted on FB from Port Renfrew and it is breath taking! Hope that you weren't too stuff the rest of the day.
I made a recipe of fettuccine, with red and green peppers and chicken. Cait isn't thrilled with it, but will eat it as long as I leave the chicken in BIG pieces that she can pick out. I am so tired of the dinner conundrum... And it keeps happening every night!

Better get rolling along...

xoxoxo!

Morning ladies.... very quiet in here this morning!! I am late getting here and still only the second one to post this morning. Not much happening here today. I need to go downtown and find a birthday gift for my SIL who turned 50 last week. We are having a party for her this Saturday, MIL wanted to wait until this weekend and good thing too, as the weather is supposed to be lovely this Saturday with lots of sunshine and warmer temps again.

Chris - Wish we could go shopping for a gift together, it is always more fun to shop with someone else! Perhaps I will pop in on my travel agent friend and see what she has in the way of new and exciting places to go. Not that I will be going anywhere, but I can always dream right? Thanks for the compliment on my photo, I have many, many more but need to go through all of them yet to sort out which ones to keep and which ones to scrap. I am so far behind with my photos, still need to scrap so many from the visit with grands this summer also. Where do I start?? :noidea: Your recipe of fettuccine sounds divine! How can a part Italian girl not like fettuccine?? :becky: Your photo shoot will be fun with Cait!! How great that you got that coupon, now the trick is to not buy a ton of other photos after the shoot. It will be hard to not do that!! Hope you have a great day and that you have a much better sleep tonight!!

 to all of you that pop in here today, I need to finish sorting through my pics and get busy with some pages, seems the day always flies by and I don't manage to get much done at all!!

We had a nice lunch and somewhat productive board meeting yesterday - yes, for a genealogy group. This afternoon is the monthly genealogy discussion group at the senior center which is always nice. So glad it is now cooling off. Big sign of fall migration was a Swainson's (or Gray-cheeked) Thrush in our yard a bit ago. Sister remains about the same.

Chris, your non-sleeping sounds exhausting! Hope it doesn't slow you up too much today and the gift buying goes well.

Trudy, good gift-buying to you also. Hope it is a good day.

Happy mid-week to all!

Sorry I didn't get in this afternoon, it's bedtime here my day has run away with me.
Chris when you get a bad night like that try getting up and going downstairs, make a drink, read a while then go back that is what I do when my back plays up or the pressures of life press down and stop me from sleeping.I prefer it to tossing and turning. I have even taken my laptop and done a layout.
