Hello, hello!
dance4 Finally -- we are going to have sunshine today. It rained until dinner time but it's clear right now. The sump pump is running in the basement so I still feel soggy. Hope it dries out soon.

I ended up cleaning almost the entire day. I pooped out around two, then started dinner at 4 and messed the kitchen up again. :vacuuming::sweeping2::mopping:
I usually like to clean closer to the party but I looked at all of the food I am cooking and need to block off two days just for that. *gulps*
I haven't had a big family party here since Christmas, IIRC. Which means my house hasn't had a super-deep clean since then. (Super deep is moving all of the furniture, cleaning under the baseboards, and all of the blinds and inside the windowsills. Should be done more than twice a year but oh well. LOL).
LR and Kitchen are done. Today I am going to do the main bathroom, DR, and the stairs.

Dinner. What am I going to make for dinner? When I cleaned the freezer, I found a bag of chicken nuggets and chick'n nuggets so I cooked them with some homemade sweet potato fries and spaghetti squash. But tonight.--No ideas.
I don't even think I ordered anything from ShopRite that I can make. I guess I will find out in an hour or so when I pick up my order ;).

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

@BrightEyes I love that saying and it cheers me up, as I am sure that it will for you as you enjoy the left-behind salsa.
Do you have any upcoming visits from your kids planned? I hope that you do so you have something to look forward to. If not, I know that you will chat with them often. (not the same as having it in person, I know...)
Sorry that the hot weather is back, it's been so cold here. We went from that one hot week in early September to Autumn in a flash.
Hope your hands feel better today. My LLMD suggested warming some dry rice in the microwave and putting my hands in it to ease the arthritis. I never did it, it's not practical, but maybe one of the rice-filled heat packs might work. I live for those things, have quite a collection LOL!

@LSlycord I can't keep track of the storms this season! Which one is it that is bringing the rain now or is it just regular heavy rain? So sorry that the lanai and gutters *and* garage are making a mess out there.
(((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) I am sad for you, missign Syd. I saw that fantastic photo of her on FB, is that what she used on LinkedIn? I bet you are excited to see her this weekend. How is Shaun doing at school? Getting into a good routine?

@taxed4ever How is the weather looking for you, think the fire bans will be lifted? I hope so. But I don't; want it to rain so much you get all pruney like we are here on the East Coast ha!
I was telling Whisky this morning that we need to go on a hike soon but right now it is way too muddy. I *think* she understood me :runningdog:
Any news about the scan? Did you call them for a time frame?
I looooove this time of year for scrapping and I am really frustrated I haven't had time to scrap or to comment. but you-- please be careful that you don't overdo it with your hands either.

@vickyday This is the second house explosion I have heard of. There was a big one near my ILs house when I was engaged to Gary. The poor guy was in the *shower* when it exploded but thankfully he was ok. The house was flattened around him, maybe the shower/tub enclosed helped? I would have been mortified :showering:
Oh, yes, I know how lucky I am that Scott and Sam are so close. I miss him at dinner but I know that I most likely won't go more than a week without seeing him.
Sending lots of love to you, Ilene, and especially Carolyn today. You are such a good friend ♥
Good thoughts to Mark today too.
I didn't see my hummers for almost a week and thought for sure they would be gone by now too. I made half a batch yesterday and will fill that up today. I hope I see them for a little longer :)

@Cherylndesigns Gummie!!! Bwuahahaha!!!! I mentioned to Gary that she had been interviewed by the news and he said he knew exactly who I was talking about. I wonder if she was chewing gum LOL
I meant to look for the medals yesterday but it slipped my mind. My grandma loved animals and dogs so I wouldn't be surprised if she had St Francis.

Kay- whew! Great news getting the vax appt! I am waiting until next week and will make mine then. Can't take the chance of not feeling well before the party. I know you know what I mean. Although the last booster wasn't bad at all for me. *fingers crossed for you too*

Good Morning to All!
Only a couple more hours until Mark's appointment. He has had a rough time through the cleanse. Between the nausea and headache, not to mention the constant running to the potty.....I know one person who will be glad when this is all over! Prayers and thoughts for good test results still appreciated! I don't know if they will know today or not. I hope so! In any case I know Mark will sleep easier tonight!

Nothing on the schedule but taking care of Mark today. I'll take my knitting to do while I wait for his procedures to be done. So that should make the time go by quickly and keep my mind occupied.

I need to get in the shower.
Have a great day!

Good morning. I'm on here bright and early aren't I? Woke up early and was wide awake, but may need a nap today.

Yesterday, I was out watering my ferns and here came Marley running like a crazy dog. This is the second time she's come "to visit". I was so thrilled that she was actually running. Then, after her crazy hellos, she went right to the front door so she could go in and see Daisy. She has such light skin underneath all her fur but you can see how easily she's bruising. Her blood won't clot very easily so we worry about her getting cut, even her gums. We have to be carefly what she chews on.

Chris @faerywings hooray for a deep cleaned house! That must be a good feeling. We have all wood floors, so we get a lot of dust bunnies. Casey deep cleans when she comes, though and I love that she cleans the baseboards, the blinds and even up in the corners of the ceilings and all around the tops and the tops of the fans. Anyhoo, we have to clean the floors quite a bit with all the dogs that are in here. LOL

Vicky @vickyday I hope Mark got along as well as could be expected last night. That was a short time to get ready for that test. I always started about a week before with my intake.

I'll try to come back and do some personals. I have a Prerelease to post and some other layouts to work on today. Color Play is phenomenal this month!

Morning, gals. Yes, we are having "Indian Summer" for sure. Went up to 91F yesterday and may do the same today. I was so enjoying the cooler weather while the kids were here. The trees are starting to turn and leaves are falling so I have hopes that the cooler weather will be back by next week. Today is my day to get a few chores done... just stripped my bed and put the sheets on to wash. :laundry: Then need to make up both the MB and Guest room beds. Hope the back and arms hold up to get them done today. I always enjoy crawling into freshly washed sheets on the bed.

Had planned on going to the base to pickup Rx and get groceries today when it dawned on me that the GI doc might order meds tomorrow so hope to go after that appointment. It is at 8AM so should have plenty of time after it. Need to get the meds and groceries just in case the Covid shot makes me ill on Friday. Hope to get the Color Play LOs up-loaded before I go for the shot.

:coffeedrinker:cup is empty and time to move sheets to the dryer. HAGD

Good morning ladies. I started the day at the dentist. They evaluated my gums and they are much better. So that was worth all of the nonsense. Then they filled 3 cavities. They were going to do all of them but the dentist decided that would be a lot for me to have my entire mouth numb so I will go back in a couple of weeks for the other 2.

@faerywings I guess the missing kids is part of this stage of life. I still don’t know what to think about exploding houses. I wonder what happens. Good luck with the rest of your cleaning. And that’s a lot of cooking you are doing. I miss having lots of people to cook for. But it is stressful for sure.

@BrightEyes funny how those Covid shots just opened up after you told them about the problem. . Good planning ahead on waiting to go to the pharmacy.

@vickyday prayers for Mark today. That colonoscopy prep is not fun. Glad that you have your knitting.

@Cherylndesigns are you turning into an early bird? :giggle4: Love that Marley is coming to visit. Each day is a gift for sure.

Grateful today that my husband is driving me home from the dentist and I can play online.

Morning ladies... another very soggy wet morning here, probably will not do the hike today. I was thinking that I might hit the pool instead and see how my arm likes going back to swimming laps again. Hmmm we need a swimming emoji. I puttered around the house yesterday and got my Fall Sign finished to hang on the door outside, I am still not sure I am completely happy with the way the lettering turned out, but it will do for this year and perhaps I will change it for next year. At first I had just the gold lettering, but you couldn't read what it said from the street, so I added a black shadow to the letters, but I don't really like how it made the fancy lettering look more chunky, oh well it is what it is and I don't have the patience to change it today LOL. Here is a photo of the finished piece.

I am not sure what I will do with myself today, other than trying out swimming, I guess I will work on my junk journal a bit and perhaps sit and scrap another layout??? I need to make some cheesy zucchini bread at some point for my Gary's lunches. He has taken Friday off and we are headed to Costco to spend way too much $$ on groceries. So that means it will be a four day weekend for him as he also has Monday off for National Truth and Reconciliation Day. We hope to get to his parents on Saturday or Sunday and see what needs to be put away for the winter. It should be another busy few days for us. Perhaps I will call my sister and see if she would like to have a coffee with me? I haven't seen her for a long time and its time to catch up with her.

@faerywings - so glad to hear that the sun is shining for you today! Hope it drys up your basement and you stop feeling soggy!! The fire bans should be lifted soon, however I am not sure about the water restrictions, we still need a lot more rain than what we have had for that to happen. They are still pumping water from the lake into the river to keep the levels good for the salmon run that will be happening pretty quick, the lake is now at record lows, so hopefully a lot more rain will come. I hope that you will be able to get all your cleaning and cooking done, so that you have a few minutes to rest and catch you breath before the party! I doubt that anyone will care if your house isn't sparkling clean right?!! After all its just going to get all messy again with all those people there anyway :dinner: Just enjoy your time with your friends and family!!

@vickyday - Ha, Ha, yes you are right spring and fall cleaning are certainly overrated!! Sending good thoughts for Mark's colonoscopy! When my Gary had his done, he found out the results right away, hopefully it will be the same for your Mark! Yes the prep for the test is so much worse than the test itself, not a fun thing to go through thats for sure.

@Cherylndesigns - Can't believe that you started getting ready for your test so far in advance, they want you to cleanse with this horrible drink the day before now and its not nice!! How lovely to see Marley come for a visit, so sweet! Hope you manage to get a nap in later today!

@BrightEyes - A busy morning for you and I hope that the GI appointment goes well for you!! Don't over do it with all the bed changing going on, you don't want to make those arms and hands all sore before being able to play with the color play goodies! I hope that the cooler weather comes along for you, so nice when you get a beautiful Indian summer, the colours are my fav during this time of year!

@LSlycord - Ughh on having to start the day at the dentist!! At least you got some good news about your gums improving!! Nice to have a driver to take you home afterward! Hope the rest of your day goes well and that the freezing doesn't take long to leave your mouth!

Ok I will check to see how busy the pool is before heading out. I need to do some arm stretching before I go too! Have a great day everyone! Wish we could all get together for a nice cup of of coffee!! :coffeedrinker:Wouldn't that be fun! See ya later!! :waving3:

Good morning ladies. It's been a tough week. It'll be Bailey's b-day on Friday and that is the last day of our contract with the home in Calgary. The buyers here have cancelled their contract, not selling their place to have enough to get a mortgage to buy our home. We have one more open house this Saturday but at this stage, even if we got an offer which is very unlikely at this late date, we probably don't have a house to buy there now. We couldn't find any homes online that fit our needs, out of what's left. I'm so incredibly sad and really felt this was going to work out. I'm not feeling very chatty right now but I'll be back soon. Just need some time to process everything that is going on.

Hope everyone is well. BFN

@bcgal00 - I am sad for you for sure, but would it be terrible if you spent one more winter where you are?? Perhaps a lot will change over the next few months! I know how heart broken you must be and with it being Bailey's birthday on top of everything else. I know that there are no words that are going to make you feel any better, but know that I am thinking of you and sending you all the good vibes I can!! ((((hugs))))!!

I am praising the Lord this afternoon and had to share.
The blood was found to be from ulcers Mark has, so the doctor has prescribed omeprazole to help heal those and he instructed Mark to stop taking products that contain aspirin which is what he treats his headaches with. Now he will be using Tylenol.
Thank You, LORD!
Thank you who remembered and prayed for Mark's appointment today! :lovey3::bowdown:
