Good morning ladies. Another beautiful morning...not quite as cool as yesterday but not bad. Spent a large part of last night talking with Sydney. Today is the technical day of career fair. This is when you walk around talking to employers and trying to get them to interview you for an internship...and, in a few years, a job. She is an introvert and hates this part...but totally necessary. One of her clubs last night had people from Domino sugar at the fair and so she listened to them tell about their company. She applied when she got home and got an interview for this morning. One of her professors canceled classes so that the students have more time for career fair today.

Not a lot planned for today. Although I'm pretty sure that the evening will be spent trying to relieve Sydney's angst over how bad she is at this. (I'm quite sure that it isn't half as bad as she thinks.) Hope you all have a good day!

Good Morning!
Quick in and out before Ilene and I meet at Carolyn's today for a visit with her. Then Ilene and I plan to go to lunch afterwards. Carolyn is not up for a long visit, so we will probably only stay for about an hour. Carolyn still cannot walk, so her daughters are basically living with her to help out! I hate it for her!

Mark had the consult with the digestive health people yesterday on what to do with the low hemoglobin and blood in the :poop: . The test they gave him for the sample says the blood is coming from the colon, so they are going to do both an endoscopy and a colonoscopy next Wednesday! I'm glad they are able to get him in quickly, thank the Lord! Other than that, the next available appt. wasn't until January! Thoughts and prayers appreciated that there is nothing serious going on.....especially the "C" word!

I worked on the new blanket yesterday.....but I have royally messed something up in the pattern, so I am ripping it out and going to begin again.......but not today! I needed to get some bills paid this morning before the mail runs and am getting ready to leave for Carolyn's as soon as I finish this. We have a phone call with the financial guy this afternoon, so the blanket re-do will have to wait!

And life goes on.......

Have a great day, Everyone!

Just popping in quickly this morning also! Thanks @LSlycord for starting the chatter thread while @faerywings is away! Sure hope she is enjoying herself and getting lots of rest and relaxation! I am off to the Dr. this morning to find out what is happening with my arm, seems my left arm is also starting to get that tingling feeling too . I am thinking that its probably a pinched nerve as I have had lots of tension and knots in my back for a long time! Guess we will find out?? I spent yesterday making soup and puttering around with my junk journal. Invited my brother and SIL for Thanks Giving Dinner this year, they are leaving again soon for Australia and will be gone for six months. I need to spend some time with them!

@LSlycord - Another lovely weather day for you! Did you make it to the beach with the group of ladies? Hope Syd is not too nervous for her interview, I am sure you will be able to keep her calm! :hug2:

@vickyday Hope that your hubby's appointment goes well and of course we all hope that the "C" word does not come up in the results!! Have a lovely visit with Ilene and Carolyn this morning! Sorry that you are having to rip out the mistake on the blanket, but you want it to be perfect right?!!

Have a lovely day everyone! I gotta go :eek3:

Good morning ladies. I have lots of outdoor cleanup to do and am still sorting thru paperwork and closets. The cooler temps makes it much nicer to be outdoors. Finished season 2 of Hidden (Welsh series) and started season 3 last night (3 a.m. when I couldn’t sleep). I’ll get Remi to the dog park this afternoon. Quiet day ahead.

@vickyday Prayers for M that he is ok. Keep us posted.
@taxed4ever Hope they figure out what is wrong with your arm.
@LSlycord Like you said, S probably fared better than she felt she had. Hope her anxiety isn’t too high about it.

I’m getting out of here and getting on with my day. HAGD everyone.

Good morning.

We got lots of much needed rain so I'm hoping to spend some time outside pulling weeds today. It poured all night and thunderstormed.

Linda @LSlycord hugs to Syd and I'm sure she will do better than she things she will/did. Interviews are hard for lots of people including me. I never liked them either.

Vicky @vickyday good thoughts coming to Mark - he's so lucky that they could get him in so quickly and boo about having to rip out the blanket. I've done the same thing, though. Have a good day with the girls.

Trudy @taxed4ever I sure hope they figure out what's going on with your arm(s). It probably is a pinched nerve.

I'm going to hop on out of here now and see how the flower beds fared the storm. I still need to plant that mum. I moved it out so it could get lots of rain yesterday.

HAGD all.

Thanks for the good thoughts for Mark! Much appreciated! I am hoping it is a fluke or something minor or that it has been caught early enough to treat.....whatever it is!

Back for just a bit. Ilene and I stayed and visited with Carolyn for about 2 1/2 hours before we left for lunch. Just got back a bit ago. We had a great visit with Carolyn. She will probably never walk again. She stumbled in her living room and landed hard and broke something in her back that caused the left leg nerve damage. She is in lots of pain when not medicated. She has lots of back issues anyway, so she did not help herself by falling. I hate it for her! So Ilene and I will go for a good visit at least once a week, and take lunch to share with her on occasion. Her girls have ordered something for her to be able to sit at the dining room table to play Rummikub when we visit. That will be good for her cognitive health. When we got there today her girls said she was feeling kinda depressed, so our visit did her some good, I think, and right on time! If the Lord lays her on your mind throughout the day say a prayer for her if you are of a notion to! THANKS in advance! :lovey3:

If he did that ColoGuard, there are a LOT of false positives! I got one and was terrified. That's when the GI doctor me about all the false positives.
