:yo:Happy Wednesday! It feels like a Thursday to me this morning and that is totally throwing me off. Not having much to do this week is throwing me off. It feels very strange. I have already scrapped four pages this month so I will beat my number from last month as long as I scrap just one more.

I survived food shopping again, always a good thing. I finished my Storybook page too. I say this every time that challenge rolls out- I am always intimidated when I start but I end up having so much fun with it. I love getting to try "silly" things. I warped a bunch of things, ripped apart elements to combine them into a new one, put a bokeh paper over the entire page for a different effect. They aren't things I would do on a regular basis but I enjoy it when I do.

I have a hard time sitting still for too long so I ended up raking leaves for an hour or so. First time of many. Even being super careful, I stepped in so much dog poop. :( That stuff never, ever goes away. Can I put diapers on my dogs? :pound:
I am tracking the weather for next Monday and Tuesday. As of right now-- dare I say it?? *knocks wood rapidly and loudly*-- it looks to be sunny and in the upper 60s. Maybe....it will stay and we can make the trip down the shore then... *crosses fingers, toes, and eyes*

This morning I am paying bills, cleaning in the afternoon, and making broccoli rabe pasta for dinner. Should be a decent mix of fun and not fun :p

Wishing everyone a day of more fun than not!

Trudy- Your day sounds wonderful as you puttered and painted. *deep sigh* Why did ya have to go and ruin my oblivion towards the holidays???? I guess I need to get thinking about that too. I decided that I am not doing an Open House this year. It is just too much and if I am going to be painting the house, I will be officially insane. But I better start looking at Pinterest so I don't end up crocheting five pumpkins in a week at the last minute haha!!! Your calendars are always perfect but I know how stressful it can be when you feel time ticking away.
Thank you re: the table. It was so much work getting the layers of stain off of it. That was two days right off the bat. But I really love it, such a different look than the dark stain. I am going to paint the chairs with the chalk paint to match the pedestal since that doesn't have to involve stripping them first. I might see if I can get some cute grey seat cushions to pull the whole thing together.
I hope the boys are feeling better and not grumpy and back to school. I bet Heather could use a break.

Sharon- Foster Fails Unite! What a sweet baby! Congrats on keeping her, she seems like a sweetie!!
Caitlyn follows a rat named Ice Cube on Intsa. He was a literal street rat (NYC, IIRC) who was frostbitten and was rescued and saved by this amazing woman. He lost his hands and feet and most of his tail. He gets around his cage like you would believe! He is snuggly and friendly and happy. The only thing he can't do is climb. Caitlyn shows me videos of him all of the time and it is amazing how animals can adapt so well to things.
What is her name?

Felis- I think I am conditioned to hate Mondays but for the last several years they are really no different than any other day. I am glad that you are happy with them even though this week wasn't so lucky for you. So sorry that you spent so much time looking for photos with no luck. That happens to me a lot too.
We soaked the washing machine tub with vinegar, ran that through. Helped a bit? Maybe??
Oh yes, we all have a lot of rescues between us all. Fostering and rescuing and being Fur Parents are such good ways to make the world a bit better.

Hugs to you all!

Morning everyone, it is foggy and very chilly here this morning! Today is my hike and it is in Lake Cowichan about a 20 min drive from where I live. The fog should lift soon and it will be a beautiful sunny day, but still chilly most of the day. I will have to dress warmly and in layers. I have my mitts and hand warmers in my backpack just in case my fingers start to turn white. Lots of Kleenex too. Yesterday I did not get my scrapbook page done, but I did finish the background for my painting that I scrapped off the day before and so happy with the results! I worked on a birthday card for my DIL's upcoming 40th birthday and hope to finish that off later today. Now I need to get my lunch packed and my water bladder filled and put in my pack, it should be a lovely hike with nice views of the Cowichan Valley.

Chris - You are lucky that your scrapping mojo is hot right now. Mine has flown the coup and I just can't seem to get motivated to get my second page done :mmph: It is always in the back of my mind now that I need to get busy with my Calendar and that just kind of consumes me, but I never get started on them LOL. Oh well it will happen and it will get done! A good decision you have made to not have the open house this year! It will be much less stressful for you and you will be able to concentrate on getting all that painting done! Getting some cute cushions for your chairs when they are all refinished will look so good!! It will be like having all new dining room furniture ( well almost) . I just love the look of the grey on your table, but nope I am not about to refinish mine LOL. Sorry you stepped in all that dog poop, but I guess its hard not to when you have three dogs!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you that the weather holds out for your trip! Love that coffee mug too!! Oh is your washing machine a front loader? They say if you do not keep the door open a little bit when it is not in use, it will smell from the water pooling in the rubber around the door. I keep my door open all the time on my front loader and have never had an odour problem.

Sharon - Love your little kitty!! Good on you for adopting this sweet kitten, there should be so many more people in the world like you! I keep thinking I should adopt again, but I am still heartbroken over having to put my beautiful Mr. Abu down.

Felis - I agree that it is a good thing to live the boring life as you say! Nothing wrong with that! We get to feeling comfortable with the everyday! We should all be thankful that we are able to be that way!! Hope you are able to get ideas for your Christmas gifts soon! Thanks for the get well wishes for Heather and the boys!

Ok I am otta here and will see you all again tomorrow! Have a great day ladies!

Morning, all. Up early this AM as pest control guy is coming this morning to check the termite bait traps. Good thing as several of the hot air balloons were floating over my house and neighborhood. Managed to get a few photos. There was a haze in the air and most were floating between me and the sun. will check the photos out later to see if there were any good ones. There is fog hanging to the west of us and apparently it had rained early this AM as the ground was wet.

Yesterday - the 8th - was hard... being it was the 21st month anniversary of Bill's death. I did my memory page and put it on FB. Only doing them every 3 months now instead of every month. I am feeling [physically] better. Woke up with no aches for a change. Hope to get to the grocery store to pick up some much needed things. Only have enough coffee creamer for a couple of cups of coffee... and no milk!

Chris, I love the way the table turned out. Thanks for sharing the photos. Glad you have decided to not do the open house due to house painting you hope to get done. Is your washer a front-loader?? If it is, you have to leave the door open all the time or it will develop a stinky odor. And the seal around the door must be washed down with bleach often. There are cleaning products to get rid of those odors.. and I have to use it every few months even though I always leave the washer door open. I will NEVER have a front loader again... it is a big headache to stay on top of it to keep the odor away. And, yes... the odor gets into the laundry and is a pain to get rid of. I use Borax and vinegar to get rid of the odor in the clothes, etc that smell. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3 washings to get rid of it.

Hope all went well with Nancy's surgery.

Trudy... you had to bring up the holidays.... you are right that they are just around the corner. It won't be the same without the great-granddaughters coming over to show off their costumes on Halloween. I am sure granddaughter will take photos of them for us. I do look forward to the trip to Son#1's for my birthday and early Thanksgiving celebration.

Good morning dears!
I have to scrap, I want to scrap, BUT I just can't. I dislike the pages I tried, and don't wanna post something indifferently. I'm not read from ages too, less time and even less interest, I jump from subject to subject and noting catch my attention. The bunch of started books is now huge. Grrr... and I'm told you this at least a hundred times. I don't know did it's left something more to give on this conversation?!
Ummm...
Oh, I found something funny that I didn't knew before. So I'm concerned about the nature, but at some lazy way, my green steps are most to 'don't do' things that will hurt it. Until my sister is very active person, she likes to 'Do' things. Like minimalist interior design, sustainable fashion, and all these lecture about how much water and electricity cost making of this or that. So she forced me: this year to concentrate to finished fully my lipsticks. I'm a massive lipstick lover :cosmo , but I wasn't thinking about lavish of products. I was surprised that inside the corps have almost the same quantity as in the outside 'bullet'. I'm digging it with lip brush, and it's such a madness seeing how much from this product I'm ignored and wasted before. I'll see did I'll be able to get properly pic to show you!

Chris, the girls are already told the same that I thought about the cushions. I use a cases, as they are easily to put off and cleaned from fur, especially in winter time. Oh, this cup is so cute! I have a necklaces from this series who says 'All my children have a paw'. Umm, but I have to disagree, in my opinion adoption don't make world better place, after all these years and results are insignificant, still have homeless, still have cruelty; the only difference is that this make life of some concrete creatures less lonely and hopeless. It's not a lot, but deserve a try! Even when it's meant poop traps too.
Oh you have my crossed fingers, toes, and eyes (this sounds so cute) too, that the trip down the shore will happens this time!

Trudy, the hike sounds lovely, and I hope fog to lift and allows you to enjoy the view! Great that the painting goes so well and I can't wait to see it!

Kay, oh it's wonderful that you was able to take some photos of the balloons, and hope they were went good!

Nancy, we thinking about you !
