I have to do this quickly, I have gobs and gobs of stuff that I need to do before I head out to clean for my friend.
We got the results back from Whisky's fecal test and she has giardia, a parasite which could be causing her diarrhea. All three dogs need to be treated and we are working on getting the dishes and bedding sterilized. Should be fun!

Scott wrenched his neck really bad this morning. He called me on the phone from his room since he literally can't move because of the pain. I did the same thing when I was his age. I moved my neck in the wrong direction and it hurt so much and I couldn't move that my mom called the ambulance to take me to the ER. I had been just getting out of the shower and needed my mom to help me dress. I went to the hospital on a backboard. I know how he is feeling.

I had a nice day outside at MILs and am going back next week to clean inside while they are away. She paid me for both days and just about all of that went to the dogs' meds. :hurt:

We had a nice family night last night. Caitlyn made pumpkin pancakes and we watched the Corpse Bride.

Aside from working and cleaning and dog care, that is about all I got for today. it is going to be a multiple mugs of coffee kinda day. :cof2:

love to all!

felis- we had the same kind of weather here today. I live on the east Cast of the US. The sun is nice, but it gets really cold once it goes down.

Trudy- I adore that smilie! Can you add that, perhaps? Yes, only good for today as well!!! What did you make your Gary for b-fast? Bet he was happy!

Jean- it is so hard for me when my nature is at such odds with the world events. Bet you keep the group lively, you are so passionate about your topics. :)

Nancy- It makes me happy to hear that your son can talk to you, esp in light of all that is happening. Most of us have no idea how devastating gun shot wounds are, I know my experience is only "TV" blood. Great news that he fixed your printer.

Rae- wow, that sinus infection did you in! Glad to hear that you are fitting in me time while you recuperate.

Felis!! This is a place to type/respond as much or as little as you like, when you like. No rules, no worries!

As you imagine, I am anti-hunting too. However, I feel that if people are going to hunt, I hope that they use the Indigenous practices of honoring that life and using all of the animal, no waste. I can accept that. It is all a range of what people can accept and I have to respect that as well.
But the types of guns we have available and the amount? It doesn't make sense to me at all.

Better go! have a wonderful day and be good to yourselves!

Chris we post at same time again, but this time I'm saw on time. ::grouphug
I have another free week, it's become a little bit stressful, but I'll try to stay positive, like one of mine favorite songs says: ''don't worry about tomorrow's mess, future never exist'', or something like that. So I'll finish my yard work. And also I scrap these days, The new kit of Vicki is called "Sweater Weather" my favorite kind of weather (my sis told me that this is also a song, but I don't know it), so I used it to scrap about the jacket I was told you about before.

Chris, so bad for Whiskey, I'm actually more worried for Ray, make a special note to the vet about the age, this kind of pills is really strong. And then Scott's neck OUch!, wish him fast recovering!

Rae, I hope you could get some relaxing time yesterday! I'm not surprised that your recovering is so slow, you are so busy all the time and don't take enough rest.

Nancy , this for the printer connected directly with your phone is awesome! We have printer and scanner by HP, but cost so expensive to buy colors cartridge, so we can't use it, maybe we need new one.

Jean, I hope you got fun time with the genealogy group!

Trudy, I also start to watch for Christmas gifts, because I'll watch for deals and don't like to rush at the last moment. So bad that organization of the against Cancer event, wasn't what you expected, but you join at the last minute, so is great that they will receive photos. Things like this is good to be polarized! I'm curious what you painting, if it's not insolent to ask?!

Have a lovely and warm day girls!

good morning - well had a great walk with Luther. He found 2 cats and got to follow their scent and bark a lot. Then he met two friends Santini and Stella and that made him happy. Came home played ball chase and he ran and ran. Now he is resting - whew as am I. Yea tonight hockey regular season begins. My team does not start until Sat but I am ready for hockey that is real. My team announced their opening season roster and it made me angry. Of course I don't see the practices so I don't really know but I can say that they put two players in the AHL who I thought really should be on the NHL team. I think that maybe they would be only 4th line players and not getting enough playing time and by sending them to the AHL they will get real playing time and more of a leadership role. But they did keep two young players that I really like so that is good. The Yankees also won. It was the strangest game both starting pictures were gone by the second inning. End of the first the inning was 3-3. Now the Yankees play the Indians which is Jean favorite team. LOL.

Chris good luck with the giardia. Hope it is cleared up fast. If it is not one thing it is another. Gobs and Gobs get done quickly! I love that you have movie night. But I am like not into scary movies. I need happy!

Felis by the end of the week your lawn will be the envy of all. Have fun scrapping. I don't want sweater weather yet.

Trudy I bet your MG was happy to have breakfast with you. Are you on a hike today?
And it is so hard to shop for gifts.

Rae feel better and do take time for yourself.

Jean well the Yankees are coming to town. Should be a fun series. I do think that your team will win and then go on to win the World Series this year!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... Hiking day today and it will be a perfect day for it! Nice sunny skies and not too warm temps. I still have two hikes to scrap so if I take photos today I will really be behind!! I have to get going on my calendars right away also. It seems the months before Christmas are so busy!! SIL Veronica will join me on the hike today, she needs the distraction as she lost her oldest sister the other day. Some health issues, not sure what but still a shock to their family!! She is the youngest of 8 children and we have always been very close,(I am the youngest of 7) she is married to my brother Tom and their children both live in Australia. I hope that she finds some comfort in being out in the woods today! Pool was pretty quiet again yesterday, so nice!!

Chris - Ugh, more vet bills! Poor Whisky!! But at least you can hopefully get rid of the parasite! Also poor Scott!! Ouch I know exactly what that feels like also! One wrong twist of the neck and excruciating pain!! Hope that he can relax those muscles and feel better soon! Yes I will add that smiley for you!! I made DH soft boiled eggs for breakfast, he also had two blueberry bran muffins as he is supposed to add more fibre to his diet. I think that he needs to drink more water than anything, one glass of water for the whole day is certainly not enough!! (MEN) what more can I say LOL. Hope you get your gobs of work done before heading out to clean! BTW thanks so much for opening the October Challenge Tracking Thread!! I totally forgot all about it!

Felis - You have more time away from work?? Yikes what is going on with that?? Vicky's new kit "Sweater Weather" is gorgeous, I have to make a page with it too!! I love this time of year, when we can slip on an old comfortable sweater and cozy up on a chair to read a book. Your yard is going to be the envy of everyone, you have spent so much time outside getting it all cleaned up! Enjoy your evening!!

Nancy - So nice to hear that you and Luther are enjoying your walks! Your knee must be so much better?? Yes it will be good to see the regular hockey season starting. Not holding much hope that the Bruins will do anything great this year, but who knows?? Yes Christmas shopping is not my favourite thing to do, but we make the annual trip to the Christmas Store for ornaments for the grandkids each year. I hope that you have a lovely day and enjoy watching the hockey and baseball !

Rae - Most likely we are cross posting this morning, I sure hope that you are finally feeling better! Unless SIL Linda sends me a few of those photos, I will not have any, I downloaded what I took to her PC and her program erases them from the camera when its done. :gaah: wish she would have told me that!! Oh well we got to see them on the larger screen and they all looked very good, we were happy with them! Sounds like you will be very busy with work this week, so I hope you find some time for yourself this evening!

Jean - Hope your board meeting went well! My painting was just a Welcome Board that I wanted to do for the front porch, but it turned out pretty good, I will post a photo in the next day or so. Not the kind of painting I really wanted to do, but hopefully after Thanksgiving I will be able to get back to my easel and create something more fun!

Ok I better get my backpack ready to go and charge up my fitbit so I can see how many steps we do today! I keep forgetting to take it on my hikes, I have been bad for not wearing it. I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Cloudy, but still nice here today. Don't know what's up with the Dr. I chose to be my new primary care. Tomorrow's appt. was canceled and it was in place of one a month ago that was canceled. I have to get a new Dr., as the one I had (briefly) no longer comes to the facility near me. Of course my "real" primary care Dr. of over 20 years is just two buildings away, but not covered by my plan as primary care, just specialist and she works with a different hospital system. All because our health care insurer folded after buying out the Ohio part of Kaiser. See, even I will sometimes let it out and rant. It wasn't the only call this morning canceling an appt. though as DH had this afternoon's dental one canceled too. But I am inspired to scrap pix from out trip.

Chris, sorry about W's problem and its effect on all the dogs and their stuff. Ugh! Poor baby though, maybe she'll be better soon even though your budget won't. And Scott! Also poor baby. Sure hope it doesn't last. Being busy today may be your best bet.

Felis, love the LO of your jacket. Wow! You look fantastic in it. Sure hope things at work get resolved so you can get back to work. But meantime, garden time sounds as good for you as it does for Chris.

Nancy, I sure hope you're right about the Indians winning! As a life-long fan, I'm also die hard anti-Yankees. I do remember well the era of the "Da*n Yankees"! I know the feeling about who made the roster for the Devils. It really seems better for good young players to be playing regularly even if that means being in the minors. Good luck to the team this season. The walk with Luther sounds interesting, but good he only barks at cats now instead of chasing. Sure hope this means the knee is pretty good.

Trudy, I'm sure you're having a great hike. Hope you are taking pictures even if that puts you behind. Sometimes I get more inspiration when trying to scrap a series. Look forward to seeing the sign, but Thanksgiving will soon be past and an easel will have your name on it then.

Rae, I know you are busy, busy. Hope you keep feeling better too.

Good morning, ladies. Busy morning here. Took Taz to daycare, got groceries, filled the bird feeders and discovered that our new hummingbird feeder leaks but I already threw the bill away. I'm doing laundry, tidying up the house, and now need to get going on my desk work. The kids will be here for dinner to celebrate Bailey's birthday. I haven't talked to Jen but hope she is feeling better after being so sick this past week. I'll be washing my hands a lot and trying to stay sneeze distance away from her as I don't want to get sick again.

Chris - sorry to hear about Scott's neck, hope he recovers quickly. Hope W and the others are all healthy soon after treatment.
Trudy - have a wonderful hike today.
Nancy - thx for mentioning the hockey starting, I'll have to check the Canucks schedule, as I keep track of that so I know when Darrell wants the big screen to watch and I pvr my shows at that time.
Felis - have fun in the yard and I'll have to check out Vicki's "sweater weather". I know by the title already that I'm pretty sure I'll love it.
Jean - sorry about your problems with health care. I'm still on the fence about the doctor I have now but after 2 yrs of no doctor and not being able to find any other doctor, I'm stuck with him.

I'm keeping this short today, have tons of desk work (since I'm covering for the other girl too) and will be hosting the birthday dinner later today so I can't work late today. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
