The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
:cowwaving: Hi friends!
It is so exciting, we have some drizzle happening here! Not enough to replenish the water tables but maybe a little to reduce the fire hazards. :praying2:

I was busy again all day, doing nothing. Or at least feeling that way. I got a few things tidied up around here and finally finished the laundry I wanted to run on Monday.
The AJ challenge needs a final proofreading before I move it to the forums. I don't know, I struggled this month. I had ideas, but nothing that hit me over the head, IYKWIM. That took more of my morning than I expected and next thing I knew, it was time to cook dinner.
We heard back from the vet regarding Jaida's leg. The latest round of abx didn't do the trick so now we have to schedule surgery to remove it. (The wound/tissue, not the leg! ) This poor dog is going to be so miserable. I wish there were a way I could reassure her that it's not going to be like when she had her knees done. My plan is to schedule it on a day that Sam is working. Maybe having someone around that she knows will make it slightly less stressful. I still have leftover Trazodone from the knee surgery last year. Wait, that was two years ago? I have no idea, but it had to be 2 years. Do any of you remember when she tore her ACL?

Sorry, that was a crazy tangent my brain took me on.

My to-do list today:
-Clean my office
-Figure out why we still haven't gotten our NJ Income tax refund. It has been "processing" for months and sheesh, I could use that $200 about now. You can check the status online or through an automated phone call. But I have to find a number to speak to a human.
-Clean for my friend
-Dinner... need to cook the rice this morning so it will be chilled for tonight.

Oh, and yeah-- can't forget to move the AJ challenge. I'll do that as soon s I am done here.
(unless I forget. There is always a chance that in the next 5 minutes I will forget)

xoxoxo!!!

Good morning. This is a quick in and out because we have pumpkin patch this morning. My niece had asked my nephew if he wanted to take a sack lunch or have "Winda" take him to eat lunch and bring him home. He definitely wanted "Winda" to take him to McDonalds for a "Happy Toy".
Ahhhh, that is adorable, Winda!!! :lovey3: I bet you had sooo much fun with your nephew!
My nephew texted last night and asked if I was still willing to help transport kids during the week. Of course I am. So we are getting together on Thursday evening to work through the details
Is your heart happy to be back with the family and helping them? I'd take that bet.

High temps will fall into the 50's-60's by the weekend. So we are moving into the colder weather soon. Think it is almost time to make a pot of lentil soup and/or enchiladas sauce... maybe both. :floorlaugh:
The best (really, the only) part of the cold weather is the food. I made a butternut squash stew last night that was perfect for the fall day.
Cant type that without hearing Robin Williams. My mind thinks in movie quotes but they're usually 80's movie quotes. Way back when I was young and free and had time to sit and watch the movie 100 times.
Same same same! LOL! I miss him, I could use his humor for sure.
What????? Me????? :killer: I wold never. Maybe guilt but never an axe. :floorlaugh:
*mutters to herself* Don't forget the challenge, Don't forget the challenge, Don't forget the challenge,
Ugh, sorry that the substitute chiro didn't get all the kinks out
Surgery count down is happening.
We got you, we will be sending good thoughts and prayers your way~~~~~
So glad to hear the good news from your BFF!
Sorry to hear about your insurance. Mine has gone up every year, too!
Me too! She was naturally very stressed.
Mine too but this is so much worse than normal. I don't know if Gary found out what his Medicare increase will be, but my guess it's more than the COLA adjustment :(

Im not sure what Kay might have said about.....my page, or the kit?
I love both pages and the kit is outstanding!!!
Yes, the kit sounds awesome and I'll have to check out al fo the LOs today!

I knew that those old dictionaries would come in handy one of these days!! :floorlaugh:
:rotfl:
How did you sleep last night??

I hear you Chris, I do. It's a sad, sad situation and the worst is all those people playing with one of our NJ reps put it, "other people's cards". And lives... Sending hugs and lots of understanding...
Huge, huge worries and "stupid" indeed..... :hug4: :beatingheart: :hug4:
I hope that everything works out with you too!♥♥♥

Ah... what a wonderful night's sleep... ... .... :sleeping1:.... .... :sleeping2:... ... Love my new firm Serta mattress. No more sleeping with hips in a dip any more and I did not wake up curled in a ball with my back aching!!! And wonder of wonders... no coughing at night even though I am sleeping without the head raised. Will have to see how that goes in the future. BTW... the dictionaries worked like a charm... headboard was nice and stable even when I was turning from side to side while I was reading in bed. :dancing6:

Have to go... BBF is calling.

Good morning. I had the best time yesterday. It was 39 degrees when I got to the pumpkin patch and the wind was so strong at the top of the hill where you check in...I'm sure wind chill was a good 10 degrees colder. But boy did we have a great time. He saw me right away and was so excited to have me there. Of course, not even 1/10th as excited as I was to be there. They have really expanded the pumpkin patch since my kids were little. We were out there for 4 1/2 hours then we went to McDonalds. I asked if he wanted to go inside to sit down and eat or get it in the drive through. He said that they always go to the drive through and he wanted to go inside. So we did. It was a fabulous day.

I was exhausted from being out in the cold air and walking all over the farm and I was in bed at 9:30. But the amazing part is that I slept until 7 a.m. and Apple told me that I hit my sleep goal! My Apple watch knows these things. :rolleyes1: I don't have anything planned for today but scrapping. I feel like a nice intense scrap day would do me some good.

And in the middle of my writing this message, I got a call from my niece-in-law and she found out that the twins (2 year old boys) day care provider is on vacation tomorrow through next Wednesday. She had announced it to parents during the time with all of the chaos with my sister-in-law's death and the message didn't get conveyed. So they need help with child care. And of course they hate to ask...which I told them to stop that right now. So I'm watching the twins for a few days...I might hit additional sleep goals. :dancingelephant:

You already have the new mattress. You work fast!!! And there is absolutely nothing like a good night's sleep to make the world better.

Surgery count down is happening. I cant wait and yet I also cant wait to be 6 weeks post op when I feel I can take on the world again! Linda since you weren't here last year, I've been having lipedema surgery. They remove the fibrotic fat tissue that is like frozen peas, hard nodules under the skin that are 3 times heavier and hurt. My daughter did it too and its been life changing. So far I have had two done, lower legs and front of thighs. Its amazing how much easier it is to move and stand and just do life. I have 2-4 more surgeries to come as the doc is limited on amount removed each time.
Tracy, I didn't know anything about lipedema until surfing the web after reading your message. That sounds so debilitating. I am sorry that you need to deal with that but I'm so glad that the surgeries help. I'm glad that it helps your daughter too. Nothing worse than watching your child suffer. Also sorry that the chiro didn't help. I think that I may need a good massage to loosen some muscles.

Good afternoon!
It has been a down-the-rabbit-hole day of looking through pictures!
Besides that, I went to lunch with Mark!
He is in the woods as we speak.
I'm getting ready to fix some bacon and French toast for supper.
Have a great evening!
Bacon and French toast for supper. Sounds delicious. Breakfast for supper is really my favorite meal. But no one else in the family likes it. :crying1:

I think November will be the last one where I can afford all of my Rxs. My insurance company sent me the "window shopping" link to the 2026 Health Insurance plans. It's bad, very, very bad. To get the same plan that I have now, my premium of going to at least double, and my deductible is going to triple. Generic Rxs are going from $10 to $35, no name-brand coverage. And Drs are going from $15 to $25. And all of that includes the subsidies that might not get renewed. pfft. Good thing I am young and healthy and don't need health insurance. /s
I am so sorry to hear this. I still don't know the status of health insurance for Brian and Syd at the end of the month. Guess I need to call our little agent and tell him that if he wants a commission, now is the time to do some work. Absolutely asinine that it is taking this long to get through underwriting. Sydney's health could not be cleaner. And Brian's broken leg does not translate into something that is a future liability. If they want to exclude anything related to his accident for future claims, exclude it. I don't care. But this is a mess and worse than normal since no one knows what happens next year with ACA. :soapbox:

Good morning ladies. I am home this morning so will do so jewelry prep (putting bracelets in resealable sleeves and putting size stickers on them). I will be starting the xmas markets a week after I get home from the trip so getting as much done now is helpful so I won't be so rushed when I return.

I'm heading out this afternoon to a ladies meeting to start planning for our annual xmas dinner buffet (usually 100+). Our xmas house party will be the night after that one. The other date we are waiting to hear about is the seniors ctr dinner, usually about 200, they have a fabulous buffet, cheap drinks and a band.

I feel like the season is going to fly by.

@faerywings The pinwheels are super easy. Just spread cream cheese over tortilla, I sprinkle bagel seasoning mix overtop but you can use whatever you want, then rollup and brush melted butter over top and bottom before cutting in 1" sections to air fry. I added finely chopped chicken and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar but that is optional. I also am going to make it with ground meat, spicy taco seasoning and finely chopped peppers. The main thing is to use the cream cheese b/c that is what holds it together. Then airfry for about 6-8 min, depending on your fryer and you flip them halfway through.

@BrightEyes I agree about a new mattress, nothing feels better. I love my mattress that has more coils than my old one so it doesn't dent so much, springs back. It was pricey but so worth it.

I'd better carry on...always busy :)

Rise and Shine!!! The sun is up. (sorta) and its time to get this day going! What we gonna do today? Nothing! Yep, a huh, yeah right. Its Wednesday! So yeah, gonna be a busy one. Thankful I am able.

The AJ challenge needs a final proofreading before I move it to the forums. I don't know, I struggled this month. I had ideas, but nothing that hit me over the head, IYKWIM.
I totally know what you mean. I have been thinking on the AJ all month long. Shocked at times the first three got done and now I sit here thinking what will week 4 be. Not to worried as you always inspire me with your message. I know youre struggling but your layouts and messages sure dont show that struggle. :heartpumppink:
Ah... what a wonderful night's sleep...
YEAH!!!!! Best news ever!!!! So glad the mattress is all it promised. Nothing beats good sleep.
So they need help with child care. And of course they hate to ask...which I told them to stop that right now. So I'm watching the twins for a few days...I might hit additional sleep goals. :dancingelephant:
Winda to the rescue!!!! That will be fun and yet you will sleep like a log!! I love that youre able to help them out and there is no stress cause you dont work from home anymore! Retired. Let the kids come play!!! Hope is a wonderful time for all of you. The good news is you will have the weekend to rest up too. A couple days with kids, a break, then more fun with kids. :heartpumppink:
Tracy, I didn't know anything about lipedema until surfing the web after reading your message.
Yep, I love that all my diseases are rare common and no one has heard of them, even the doctors scratch their heads and think I make stuff up. If I was gonna live in denial, it would be way more fun that what reality is. But God is good and He never makes mistakes. I am here to educate others as I myself learn. Feel free to ask any questions, I'm happy to answer. And future diseases I talk about that you dont know. I would rather answer then leave anyone wondering what the heck. :heartpumppink::heartpumppink::heartpumppink: Had my mom told me, I wouldn't have wondered for years (decades) and could have gotten help way sooner. But thats another tangent that does no one any good.
I feel like the season is going to fly by.
Its gonna fly by for you for sure. You'll be so busy. Hope its fun too.

Good Morning Vicky! @vickyday Hope your morning is going well.

Well, time to get started with the day. Have a wonderful day everyone!!
