CHEERY O
good morning my O-Fam!! How are all of you today? Soooo tired this morning.
yesterday was another long and dreary day and here comes another one. The rain, the cold and the fact that it is dark at 4:30 pm makes me feel yucky. The early dismissals with the kids also throw me off schedule. Today they'll be home around the same time I need to leave to clean.
Ah, well, what can you do?

Hopefully i won't be as whiny and cranky as I was yesterday hahhaha!!!:banplease:

Oh Laurie, you are an optimist! LOL Car back before noon *and* you don't want it to cost too much? I hope everything came as close to that as possible.

Maureen, that type of store is the kind MMG loves and I would hate. He adores vintage stuff, antiques and all that. I get kind of creeped out by all of that.
Hope you had a safe trip home.

sorry about that. Scott was calling for me, and Catzilla is next to me, I didn't dare leave my post open because who knows what she would have done to it ;)

Fran- good luck with work today, you don't want angry co-workers looking for paychecks.

Phyllis- I wish we could leave winter too. It was freezing here as well. We keep out pour house on the cooler side out of necessity (oil is so $$-- as is all heating I guess!) and gary has been so cold and he keeps putting up the thermostat. he used to run way hotter than me, and I am used to it, I wear hats, fingerless gloves, 2 pairs of socks inthe house. he think ann extra sweatshirt and upping th eheat is the answer. I guess when he is writing the checks to theoil co. every month he doesn't get it as much as I do.
Sorry about making that one all about me....
How was lunch with DD? Scott is 15 and is very "depressed" about his future and the job market. I can't imagine how hard it must be for all of the kids out in it right now.

Debbie- awesome on all of your finds!!!

Diane-- Oh yeah, people and traffic and a next-to-nothing budget all make me despise shopping too!

Nana- hugs and more hugs- My mom and I are so close I can't even begin to think of the pain that family is going through. Hugs again.

Hi trudy! Oooh so jealous-- the house to yourself!! I haven't had that in ages and ages.

Sandra- if I were you, I would have scrapped (ha! Pun!) the cleaning and just went on to the fun stuff- digiscrapping

Welcome home Maureen!

Clara-- aaaahhh! I am not good with waiting either- once I am ready, I want out *now.* I feel your pain my soul sista!!
Be safe traveling. And sooo happy that the lip glosses came out good- I bet the girls had a blast!

Hi J!!

Trista- that was not a novel at all, you should see Clara and I when we get going :pound:
Do you keep an art journal? That sounds very cool. Hope your day today is wonderful!

Good Morning!

How did it get to be Wednesday already!! Plenty on my TO DO list as all of you I'm sure. Picking up my pies this morning from a local place. Been doing that the last few years since they are so delicious..........always my favorite part of the Thanksgiving meal. Trying a couple of new recipes so if they don't work out.........there is always pie!!

Thinking about getting the Christmas decorations out this weekend while I have two children and four extra hands to help me. Don't like putting up the decorations and sure don't like taking them down, but LOVE having the house decorating for the Christmas season. Feeling shared by many I'm sure.

Chris-Hope you have a wonderful day. I checked out your site as mentioned here the other day...........Very cool gift ideas. Your house must smell wonderful making these items.

Have a wonderful Wednesday and safe travels to those on the road.

Morning- Chris- I got the car back at 4:30, and it cost close to $600- Merry Christmas Happy New Year- but you have to have brakes- so hopefully no more major car issues- this is what happens once you pay it off! I am off to work today, and then off until Monday- Oh yeah!!

OMG just a quick Good Morning....I kinda over slept so I can't stay.......I'll try and check in later....but it will be busy busy getting ready for tomorrow......Happy Wednesday everyone!

hiya. the Furnace guy is here doing the yearly check-up. he told me to turn the furnace up so that it runs and he can check it. i haven't been so warm in weeks!. i've discovered the cure for freezing to death in a cold house, Chris. "Land's End Fleece,.!" i actually made a page about it. i have about 10 Lands End Fleece tops that i wear every day in the winter. EVERY day. i guess you can classify me an an "eccentric old lady." same clothes. different colors. but i'm WARM! now if i could only find a wardrobe answer to high ELECTRIC bills....

part of me wants to go out and do some shopping, another part of me wants to close the blinds and stay in the house. wonder which part will win. :fencing: it'll probably be a compromise. i'll go shop, but instead of the Mall, 25 minutes away and no doubt crawling with "Christmas Shoppers," it'll be at TJ Maxx, about a mile from my house.

have a lovely!

Morning all... could someone find me a :fish2: I think I might need one to get to work today! Needless to say its still :rain: here today and if we get much more the valley will be flooded. It just poured all night last night and it hasn't let up yet. Good thing I live on a big hill! LOL.

Chris - It gets dark here at around 4:30 too, I hate it! But at least we have the "O" to cheer us up everyday!! Hope your day goes well my friend!

Donna - What a smart girl you are for having pies ready to go if they are needed. I would never be that organized. I would have to tell everyone...opps sorry no dessert!

Laurie - Just what you always wanted to for Christmas...New Brakes!! Sorry it was so costly!! Maybe for your birthday you could get an oil change?? :pound:

Fran - Too bad you have :bolt: hope your day goes by quickly and you get it all done!!

Phylis - Sounds like you are nice and cozy in your Lands End Fleece!! Good plan not going to the Mall, it will be crazy with people shopping this time of year and its not even black Friday yet.

Well better get my wellies on and get to work, hope I don't fall into a big puddle!! :fear: Have a wonderful day everyone.

 Hi Linda, Clara, Maureen and Sally!!

Hi Ladies - I just got back from the grocery - it was a madhouse - dinner is at my Mom's tomorrow so no cooking here.... so why did I have so many Turkey day things on my list... Mamaw intends on cooking a little this weekend.... I hope she waits til after my mom sends home leftovers - Mom is supposed to be sending home a bunch - I already have been told to bring empty containers to put them in.

Maureen made a special page for me - Here's the link so you can just hit click and see it. She made a hi o's with her big toe..... the page gave me a smile! https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=245664&title=hilton-head-2011&cat=1351

I bought my first Christmas present today - a specal request but not on my list of things I like..... chocolate covered cherries for Mamaw. She asked for them and I saw the good ones .... Esther Price ....so I picked them up.

Mamaw and I started a tradition about 10+ years ago I only by edible Christmas presents ... therefore they always get used. Fruit baskets - jellies - special pasta soups to make etc. I try to come up with different things for her to try that I'm pretty sure she wouldn't buy for herself! Last year she laughed and handed me back all the handmade gift tags and said we could use those again next year....!

Debbie - I love consumable gifts! So cute with reusing the gift tags, too.

Hi everyone else! We had check ups this morning for my two youngest boys. Apparently all is well other than the fact that they all have heart murmurs. Nothing to worry about my doctor tells me so it's all good. However, we did spend 2 hours at the dr's office - she was WAY behind today. Now we're home, we've had lunch and one is down for a nap. Had a good phone conversation with a friend and need to get some work done for our school community council (PTA) - I'm treasurer. I hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday!
