Happy Hump Day!!!

Can I get an Amen just for getting through another crazy day? :amen:
Nothing wrong happened at all, in fact, most everything was all good but when my days get all chopped up, my brain goes on the fritz.

Muffin's surgery went perfect and the techs were all very happy to snuggle with her. They spoiled the heck out of her actually. They took pic's of her up on one of the tech's shoulders. They were trying to snuggle her with a hot water bottle post-op to warm her up but she wasn't having any of it. She wanted to be on Melissa's shoulder so she spent the day up there under Melissa's scarf. Spoiled rotten! LOL

All I did yesterday was help Cait with Muffin, food shop, and that was about it. I tried to look online for mason jars/hose clamps and other stuff we need to make the dog treat holders but I didn't know exactly what I was looking for. W is turning into a total brat and is regressing a bit with chewing, jumping, and peeing inside the house. She just turned 9 months, so maybe this is a "puppy-toddler" phase? I wish I could remember when J was this old. I am going to have to do some research on it.

I am off to clean today then I *have to* prep for tomorrow in the kitchen for F-W's. I have said that I was going to do that every day this week and now I have no choice.

Please wish me luck and brain power to do all that I have to do!!!

Love and hugs

Whew!!! I thought that I lost that post!
I guess even if I did, it wasn't saying all that much one way or the other. hahaha!!!

Felis- what wonderful cards, they seem so vintage to my American eyes. The dental tech I saw the other day is from Romania and she was saying how crazy it is to her that in America the holiday season starts so early and is so over the top. She said that in Romania, Christmas trees aren't put up until the day before Christmas so she is always shocked to see decorations up in November. I think that our commercialism is getting spread all over the world :(
Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas and all of that, but it feels like it just presses in way too early each year.
I feel the same, so mentally distracted that even with my To Do List, I can't seem to get it together. I hope that you get everything done that you need to do.
I just entered the LO of Whisky that is just a crop on her eyes to my vet's photo contest. One of the winners gets 3 months of Frontline- so keep your fingers crossed for me! LOL

As someone who keeps on rescuing pets and everyone thinks we are crazy with our financial situation, I understand where you are coming from. Aside from vet care, W doesn't cost us much more esp since she is on the same food that the other 2 eat. We get 30 lb bags so we just need to reorder a bit more often. Psychologically, animals are our lifeline. :)

OMG, that is so funny about Luther needing to see the boys go, Nancy!!! Happy birthday to your son. I wouldn't have even entered the chip contest!
Scott has always loved nature- rocks, plants, and bugs so I think he is on the right path.

Trudy- uh oh! than Man Cold. Never a good thing. Hope he is feeling better or at least staying out of your hair. ;)
That stinks about the fingerlings! I really hope that you can find them. Did you get any scrapping done? Not me, not even a bit and now I have to start thinking about my Dec. Challenge. I am doing a Style Challenge- anyone want to give me suggestions about what to do?

Rae- oh no, that is crazy about the gutter but thank goodness your neighbor noticed and was able to help. That was really nice.
Awww, poor Taz, all pooped out! W never seems to rest but I guess that is what a puppy does. (I have to keep reminding myself that she is still a baby!)
Hope that the rain stopped and that you were able to get all of the work done that you needed to.

Jean- how exciting that you got to see the juncos. I was just about to ask what they were but you gave a great description. I wonder if they are in my area at all.
You are going to do great at your presentations. I wish I could sit in at one :)
I got the call from the vet as Cait was driving home so she didn't see it until she walked in the door. But man, her smile didn't stop all afternoon/night. She was so happy.

I am off and "running" (as in moving through molasses...)

Have a super-duper successful and productive day!

Nope, I didn't finished much yesterday. I was in some melancholic mode. The evening was warm and I spend quiet time with my big dog, sitting outside just to brush him and talk for the life. Mostly he sigheds deeply make you to think that you are so away from the truth. After dinner I stayed to late to watch episodes of series which I not watch usually. And totally expected this morning I'm oversleep. I have no explanation why I sabotage myself. Today is rainy and we are inside. But I decided to forget for all this pressure and will stick only to work and clean up.

Chris, OMG, I'm so happy for the good news about Muffin. I was on thorns the whole day, because medicine here is so weak and I was so afraid. Good luck with the photo contest of Whisky! Chris, I was wondering did you catch up your cat at the crime scene finally?! And did the mint tea helped. I catched a little lady to peeing inside, yesterday, and now have to waylay her few times till she learn. I don't wanna all to start follow her and I have to act fast, so ughhh, this change from outside to all stayed inside will be difficult this year. These cards are vintage even here, and this give them some special charm for me, even I'm not retro lover. I have to agree with my neighbor from Romania, many of the little tradition are lost, because of the comersialization. I love Christmas so much, but if before it was part to part christian and pagan rituals, now is mostly shopping which is sad.

Nancy, Happy be-lated birthday to your son! I watched the video at Instagram and they are so cute, especially this girl with the green, number 24 ,oh dear, she tried to resist so sweet. Hope fan club meeting was good for you! I love your previous page about the autograph.

Trudy, hope your husband is feel better soon! Favorite commercial of my sister for the pills for cold is of one man which is like zombie and it's dragging after his wife so she to take care for him. Actually is sweet. Like, Jean, said just hope you to not catch it from him!

Rae, good that the gutters actually not damage anything! About the reducing sugar, I have heard this too, I think it was said that after 3 months you wouldn't miss it at all. But nope, that's not me, I quit my try much earlier. I watch at Dr. Oz that the substitutes of the sugar are unhealthy too, and they are so expensive here. So I didn't have any alternative except honey. At that time I had chronic fatigue and I tried different things, less sugar, more multivitamins, tinctura avenae and ect., pathetically but what actually helped was the new pillow :) .

Jean, this story about the birds is so sweet. I can understand your exciting about the card box from a wildlife company, they are always pretty! When I was study we sent cards with my roommates every year, but I'm afraid that now we are lose connection, life just spreads us in different directions. :dizzy:

Hugs all,
have a warm and easy day! :music:

good morning - well my son and I had a great time at the fan club meeting. Travis Zajac was so nice and funny. He answered questions and took time to do autographs and photos. Then he left and there was the really meeting. My son really enjoyed it and we will be going to more. He was shocked that there were so few young people so he is going to talk to the media guy and see if he wants help. That will be good. Travis has been out of the line up since an injury in Aug. He might be back Thursday so that will be awesome. It is hard to believe and he says the same thing that this is his 12th year with the Devils. Maybe a great chicken dinner with a side dish of kale, beans, carrots, shallot in a dijon mustard sauce. I thought is was awesome but my DH does not like carrots and my son does not like beans lol. Tonight I am going out with my girlfriend. Not much else happening. Again my DH is late leaving, says he gets more done at home as he has a night class it makes sense. And it allows the temperature to warm up just a tad. The sun is shining but the temp is at freezing!

Chris so glad that Muffin is doing so well. Love that she stayed in the scarf all day. I am sure Cait is much better today now that Muffin is home recovering. Good luck getting stuff ready for your open house. Chris we have juncos all winter. I just saw the first two by me this weekend so I know you have them or will as it gets colder and they come south.

Trudy sorry the rain is bad but that means it will be coming my way. They are saying lake snow next week so hopefully not down by me. But it will be cold with high only in the low 40s. Have fun swimming. I agree that the Outlander show is just awesome!

Rae waking up in the am and reading is such a nice way to start the day. That is so nice that you have such good neighbors. I love my covered gutters. Makes a difference. Congrats on the 4 day work week. Enjoy!

Jean I love seeing all the birds coming south. Juncos are one of my favorite little birds. I love the flocks and they are often with other birds.

Felis my son met a really nice young woman from Romania. He took her to her first hockey game. She seemed to like it. She was very nice in the one time I met her but my son says she too is surprised by all the decorations up.

Have a great day all!

Felis we cross posted and yes the young woman in the video was pretty cute. One of the boys did not seem to be bothered but then my son said he complained all the next day. Glad you enjoyed!

:hello: ladies... just a quick in and out of here this morning. I am heading out for our hike today and the sun is actually shining right now, so hoping that it stays this way! Our hike is to Chemainus Lake and then to Stocking Creek, both beautiful spots so hope to get some great photos! My day was much like Chris's did not get anything accomplished and the only thing I really did was go swimming and then had coffee with my sister in the afternoon while hubby was sleeping off his man cold. Will catchup with all of you tomorrow as I am still busy trying to find these dam fingerlings for DD and need to go get my backpack ready. Have a wonderful day everyone and I am :sorry: that I am not doing personals today! Wish I could get out of my funk and be more social!

Good morning, ladies. Got Taz off to daycare and get started at my desk work as there were a bunch of files that were sent over already. I am waiting to hear back from a fellow from Craigslist about a 50 mm lens. Its the older model which is fine for my purposes. I want to use it in manual with my extension tubes for macro photography. I haven't heard back about if we are meeting up or not later today but if I don't hear from him, it's fine with me b/c another opportunity will come up and I'm not in any rush. I have a macro lens already but for photo walks it would be nice to have the 50/tubes on my other camera b/c it would be lighter to carry around if I am also bringing my heavier camera and zoom. So, keeping up on my desk work today just in case I hear from him and have to rush out.

Never did scrap last night as I got interested in Blacklist and we watched 3 episodes before bed. I can't scrap when I watch that show b/c its too easy to miss something. Looks like I will have some extra work coming tomorrow so I'll enjoy my semi-light day today and maybe can get a page done later.

Chris - glad that Muffin came thru ok from the surgery. How sweet she snuggled under the scarf. Hope W gets thru this puppy stage and starts to behave better. The chewing of course is normal and they all go thru it but the peeing indoors hopefully stops soon b/c once they start, its harder to stop them. Do you praise her and give her a treat when she goes outside and pees? Do you have a training word for going out to pee? We use "go clean" and always train our pups right away to go on command (if they can). That way I can ask and if they don't go to the door then I know they don't have to and try again in a bit. Hope you can nip that in the bud quickly. Of course, being a pup and everything she's been thru, it all takes time to adjust and learn all the rules of a household. BTW....I love seeing your pages with her, she's so gangly and adorable!

Felis - I've done that too....stayed up too late watching shows. We love to binge watch and my hubs will go to bed but I push myself to keep going to see more LOL. What were you watching?

Nancy - sounds like a good dinner last night and enjoy your dinner out with your friend tonight.

Trudy - enjoy the hike, hope the rain holds off for you.

I'm getting back to work now. Have a great day, everyone.

DH did his bird survey this morning but was disappointed that there were so few birds. It was windy which didn't help. Now he's avoiding a nap which he usually takes after getting up early. I'm the one who feels like I need one but I don't know why.

Chris, good for Muffin coming through fine and then getting a great cuddle spot with the tech. Hope you have the energy left after cleaning to prep for F-W stuff. Nancy told you that you'll have plenty of juncos. One place you can read about them is at a Cornell site: https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Dark-eyed_Junco/id

Felis, sabotaging myself sounds very familiar. I do it too. All we can do is keep going and doing what we can. Brushing the big dog must be a good way to connect with a creature without so much stress.

Nancy, too bad your meals are suddenly not pleasing the others. You've had so much success with them. Tonight you don't have to worry about them. What do they do for dinner when you're out with a friend? Your hockey team really has such nice activities for the fans. And here goes your DS doing something cool again wanting to get more young people involved.

Trudy, thinking of you on your beautiful hike. Hope you get back to scrapping so I can see the pictures. And again, good luck with the toys.

Rae, I sometimes wish I still had a macro lens, but it's been a long time. Somehow the lens and tubes sounds like more trouble than I would like. But do hope you get the lens.

Hope it was a fine day for all.
