Argh, it is cold! The temps and wind kicked up so quickly yesterday. it was chilly but not brutally so when I left for the supermarket yesterday but by the time I was leaving it, hoo boy, freezing. Thank goodness for little dogs on your feet watching TV at night. My nose was cold but my feet were toasty.

Good thing that I like little dogs. B/c my little dog made a big mess yesterday. I was finishing up painting the trim on the staircase when, my coffee can paint can got knocked over. i thought it was Jaida since she had been barking about something right before. So a half a can of white paint is all over the rug, Gary and I are mopping it up and I am blaming J in my head. A little while later I see white paint on W leg. Darn little dog!!! (We call her Little Dog something, but she isn't little any more, 50+ lbs, but the littlest of mine. Speaking of which, they are asking to go outside. BRB!

Kay- yuck about waking so early. I am not happy with the cold either, and I am with you and not wanting to get in the shower when it is that cold. We keep out heat at 66* during the day and I have to wrap myself in two towels when I am out. If my bathroom was bigger I would want one of those towel-heating racks you see at Sharper Image. Maybe when I am a millionaire or in my next life LOL
You are doing good on the decluttering/selling of things too! Once you start, it is hard to stop

Trudy- It is very nice to hear that there was a big turn out for the parade. I think my dad feels the same way as your Gary about deserving it. He was here, not overseas so I guess he feels relatively speaking it, isn't the same.
I hope that the heating guys are in and out quickly so you can go on the hike today. I cannot even imagine being outside today.
I love looking at the walls right now. Years of dings and fingerprints and stuff gone. What a difference. :D

Jean and Sharon- stay warm!! We had a few snow flurries yesterday but thankfully that was it. But the wind...

Sending cozy hugs and blankets to you all!

Slept in until 6 AM today. But it was overcast so not much light from the eyebrow window - the curtains are only open about a foot. Yes, I managed to get my shower yesterday and got my clothes on but hair still wet when the pest guy showed up before 8 AM. I know he usually stops at my place that early so glad I got a move on. Had a nice lunch with the Red Hat gals... and we got next year's plans made. I only have to host one time and it will be an eat-out. Easy-peasy! :becky: We may do a out-of-town mini-convention early next year. Haven't been to one in several years so it would fun to get my traveling shoes on again.

We are also planning a Mardi Gras costume party. Maybe I will finally get my Titanic/1912 dress finished. Got the skirt half finished but still need to cut out and sew the top. This would be a great opportunity to wear it.

I picked up 3 long-sleeved top - on sale and had a $10 off of $25 coupon! Score!! I need to winnow down some of my old turtleneck/LS tops that have drawn up so they are too short now. Realized that some of them I have had for more years than I want to admit to - they could be called 'vintage'...so it is time.

Chris... so sorry about the spilled paint and the dog tracking it! Glad you are almost finished with the painting. Glad you had a good birthday gathering for your Dad.

Trudy, hope the heat pump is fixed now so you can have heat. Sounds like most of us are having cold temps right now.

Need to get dressed and have a few errands to run today. Hope the temps get above 40.

Morning ladies... it is grey and wet outside and I will be hitting the shower and getting dressed very soon. Hope that the Heat Pump repair guys show up on time! So I will just pop in and out of here right now and will be back later on to catch up on things here! I really need to get to the gallery and do some commenting and also upload a page. I spent most of the day yesterday painting my turtle and should be done with that in a day or so. It will be good to get it in the mail and off to its new home soon! Ok ladies I will be back to do personals after my shower etc. Have a great morning and try to keep warm!!

Well I guess no hike for me today, the Heat pump guys are delayed and not sure when they will get here!! Grrrr!! I had a feeling this might happen, with the long weekend the part has not arrived yet. They are hoping it will be here sometime this morning, but I have my doubts. Keep your fingers crossed for me that they call soon! Oh well I may as well get busy with scrapping and do a calendar page today too!

Chris - Ohh noo on the spilled paint!! Did you manage to get it all out of the carpet? Bad Dog!! Funny that you call her the little dog! I would have called her something other than that at the time of the spill LOL. I am so glad to hear that you are loving the new look of your freshly painted rooms! So what will be your next project??

Kay - Sounds cold for everyone except us so far. We have not experienced the cold front that everyone else is getting so getting the heat pump fixed is not so traumatic. Your Red Hat gathering sounded very productive and how fun to be planning a Mardi Gras costume party too! Yes the Titanic costume sounds wonderful and a great time to get it completed and worn! Don't forget to take photos please! Hooray for the great score on the tops! I had to throw out lots of clothes over the past couple of years, I too have way too many that could almost be called vintage LOL. That and the fact that I went KETO and lost a lot of weight so none fit me anymore. It is nice to have some newer clothes LOL.

Ok I will get my photoshop opened and get busy today with some scrapping! Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

The snow ended but it got really cold, probably setting a record for the date. I'm remembering Oct. 1 when the high of 90 set a record for the entire month. Wish we could even it out a little! Anyway, genealogy group at the senior center this afternoon and maybe this evening I'll get to go to the natural history museum for some sketching.

Chris, sure hope you could get all the paint out of the rug! Little Dog? Wow, that is hard to imagine for W. Even so, you are clearly happy with the result of all your hard work with the table, chairs and now the rooms.

Kay, the Red Hat organizing sure will give you nice things to anticipate in the coming year and finishing the Titanic outfit will be perfect! The trip must be coming up pretty soon too.

Trudy, oh fudge! Too bad the guys have to delay and you get to sit and wait...guess that means no hike even though you still have nicer weather. But another calendar page would be a good thing. Congrats on another turtle painted.

Nancy, looks like the Devils have a game tonight, good luck to them.

Felis, hope you keep feeling in good spirits.
