The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Gooood morning! Is everyone ready to start the day? How about some coffee to get you going...
#coffee-2
Mmmm mmm good!
th

It's the Campbell version of soup/coffee. And yes, I have tons of Campbell soup mugs that look like that one and other tchotchkes. :p

Since I complain about the weather literally non-stop from November to March, I'll do my best to level it out by saying what another spectacular day we have here. Sunny, dry, hitting close to 80. Loooove it! Small, teeny tiny complaint: Allergies, however, are *awful.* I want to rip my eyeballs out of my head by the end of the day. I would do it too except that I am grossed out by eyeballs. Yuck.

Gary and I took the dogs on a hike in the morning. There is a fork on the trail and the marked trail goers right and an unmarked trail that veers left. It looked mostly level and we know that the marked trail has some good incline to it. I suggested we go to the left and see what is out that way. I felt like were true explorers, excavating our way through the unknown wilderness. In reality, it was well-cleared but we saw some neat little areas that were new to us and the dogs. We would have kept going but we hit some big, rocky inclines and it was too much for us and for the dogs. I can't tell you how many times I had to stop and make W "Wait" or she would have dragged me on my face all the way down. We want to go back without the dogs and with walking sticks to explore some more. There's an old bridge over the stream that was half gone that we definitely want to check out.

I was 100% pooped out by the time we got home and took a shower right away so I wouldn't be tempted to do yard work. I scrapped instead :D

I have a relatively busy -for me at least- day. Groceries/pharmacy/pay bills. Then I am cleaning for my friend, and need to figure out something for dinner.

WWW: Who has something they wish/want?:
I wish I could teleport and visit all of you. I also wish I could teleport me and Gary and go on vacation. Somewhere, anywhere. It's been a long time since we had a real vacation (2010!)
I want to find a website that shows all of the local hiking trails. You'd think that would be easy to find, but the websites I looked at yesterday were either only national trails or the maps showed nothing in my zipcode/surrounding area.
I also want to see TJ again. I couldn't find him yesterday, but I also wasn't climbing under the hedges ;)

I want all of you to have a happy day too!

@vickyday I was soooo aggravated at FB this morning. So aggravated for you. Hmmmph. I got the notification that the post of "yours" I had reported was not found to violate any community guidelines. I clicked where it asked if I wanted another review, hoping that it would give me a place to write that it was a hacked account. Nope. Seconds later I got another automated response, the same as the first one. Ugh!! #angry2
Your DD's response is hysterical. I would ask you what your secret to reverse aging is! If it weren't for scrapping I'd delete my account there. It's awful
Hope you are having a great time with your sister/friends and games

@tanteva hahah!! It's good that we didn't marry pushovers.

@bcgal00 Whew, glad that D is home and doing ok. Hope that the pain isn't too bad for him.
I folded and reorganized my bags the other day too-what a mess! Thank you for the reminder, I need them to pick up my groceries today and I would have forgotten them at home.

@taxed4ever That's smart to not paint the doors if there is too much muck blowing about. Did you paint the door to the garage?
Thank you for the reminder too- Gary and I have to call the bank today too, we'd been talking about it for a week. That is one thing that is very easy to procrastinate about, calling health insurance companies is another. :rolleyes1:
Have a great hike today!

@Cherylndesigns I named the little toad TJ for Tif Jr. He was living in the garden in the same general area that Tif did so I am assuming (*want* to assume), he is a spawn of Tif haha!!!! No idea if it's a he or a she. I called Tif a "them" but it's easier to revert back to "he." I had such an interesting conversation with my mom driving to PA. She knows that Caitlyn and Scott have several trans and non-binary friends. One of Caitlyn's oldest friends uses they/them and they are on the wedding guest list. My mom is adorably very concerned that she will call them "her" and that it seems very wrong to my mom to call them "them" Them, to her, seems more of a slur. As in "Oh-- them..." said with disdain. I told her to call Andee Andee as they have always been. :lovey3:

That's so cute- all of the good memories about your grandfather's fire dept. That's awful about the emphysema but not surprising. The candy counter reminded me of the soda machine in my dad's fire dept. It not only had cans of soda but also beer! I thought as a kid that was the coolest thing.
I looked at Walgreens this morning, I was hoping that maybe they had the tanning drops under their brand name so I could save some $$ and use my Walgreens points. They do sell the Loreal and Jergens and I'm keeping my eyes open for any sales.
Cici the Cannonball Judge - you are such a good sport!

@LSlycord what no sunrise over the ocean picture to make me jealous??? :rotfl: You know I am 100% teasing you. I am really happy for you ♥
Does this house have a pool? Any birds on the lanai? And down to 17 days for Syd?

Big ol' hugs to everyone!

Good morning. We were up early enough to go to the beach but we didn't. Just sat on the lanai and enjoyed our time leisurely drinking coffee. The lanai is on the east side of the house so we were able to watch the sky turn pretty pinks and purples over the fence and the neighbors houses. Our house is now 2/3 fenced. The guys are supposed to come back and finish it today. The bird feeder is up but no activity yet. I have heard lots of birds---cardinals, wrens, titmouse (don't know how to make that plural) and they are very nearby. (I cheat and use the Marlin Bird ID to figure out what they are. I can usually tell the cardinals song but that's it.) Gave the lanai guy the deposit to screen the lanai and he will get to it in the next 3-4 weeks so things are coming along.

Poor Andie had a terrible hot spot and had to go to the vet yesterday. On Friday when we took them to doggie day camp while we moved in, they let Andie swim. She came home exhausted. Well they didn't dry her thoroughly and we were still in massive move mode so we didn't notice that they had put her collar on where they didn't dry her. Usually she doesn't wear her collar full time but because we don't have a fenced backyard. Monday afternoon she wouldn't eat and was acting like she didn't feel good at all. Yesterday morning I figured out the problem was her neck. Oh my goodness...she really had a huge spot! So they shaved her neck and chest area and gave her steroids and antibiotics and she is better today. I felt really stupid. But the vet tech asked (vet and day camp at the same place) if Andie swam on Friday when she was at day camp. Syd was furious! That's where she used to work and she said when the longer haired dogs are in the pool, they needed to dry her off before putting her collar back on.

Anyway...that's the consuming stuff happening around here. We did go out to eat with the Flagler Foodie group last night and had a good time. Sat with two other couples, one who has been here for 2 1/2 years and one who has been here a year so that was fun...one from Pennsylvania and one from New Jersey.

16 more sleeps until Sydney is home! I'm doing it by sleeps because it is shorter. ;)

My big plan is to have my CheeryO stuff ready for June!!! Have a good day all!

Thank you for trying, anyway! If more people would leave FB they "might" decide to do something! However, if the accounts remain open for the "fake IDers" they aren't going to address it! How can FB not do something about the way these people continue to try to scam people for money???????? YES! Truly aggravating!

Sounds like you and Gary had a fantabulous time on your walk yesterday! I love exploring new places.....as long as no slithering, slimy things surprise me, LOL! Mostly I love taking pics of interesting, new places!

Good Morning!
Another gloomy day here. But I think my sister and I are going to go to COSTCO and out to lunch after our showers. I will see if Ilene wants to tag along. Carolyn is busy today so she cannot join us.
Other than that I need to get a few things at the grocery store so we have something to eat for supper and that is it! Probably just playing some more games. I need to do a few scrapbooking things before the end of the month. Make sure I have responded to everyone who participated in my challenge this month.
I agree with @faerywings WWW.....would LOVE to teleport to see y'all! Wouldn't it be fun to be able to gather together somewhere sometime?! :grouphugyay:
Hugs to all!
Have a great hump day!
:bye2:

Good evening everyone.

I just got home - Ava decided to get a new truck and wanted me to ride to Arkansas with her to trade her car in and get the new truck. What a beautiful truck it is! It's a 4 door electric blue Dodge Ram - very fancy and has an all leather interior. She's super excited and had just about had it without a truck. When she got her Challenger, I knew she wouldn't keep it very long. We really need trucks around here. She just wanted to get owning a sports car out of her system and I can relate since I had a few Corvettes and Camaros. She's going to put running boards on it, but my short legs managed to get up in it - with a small boost from her. Good thing I work out with weights every day. Roger's truck is a monster truck, but he has running boards.

Boy, did I really screw up on the day/date Chris @faerywings I think it's "the best one yet". I woke up convinced that today was June 1st, which made last night the night that I did all of my updates. I even sent somebody a happy birthday meme (her bd is the 1st). Boy oh boy - I think this was the worst screw up I've made yet. I EVEN kept wondering why none of the June Challenges weren't posted. :rolleyes1::rolleyes1: I HAVE to get some kind of daily calendar thingie but I'd probably forget to flip it. It would have to be automatic. Need.to.look.on.Amazon.

I'm going to try those drops - did you say you found them in the store? I think those might be the better option for me. I'm so afraid of streaks. I had so much fun being Cici the Cannonball Judge. Those guys are crazy and each tried to out do each other.

That's so funny about the conversation with your mom. When Steph got married, I addressed all of the wedding invitations with calligraphy. I would have been concerned about some of them if I'd had the pronoun "issues" to contend with. If I had them. I didn't know it. I guess "ignorance was bliss" back then. All I remember is it took me forever to do all of them. I did a few every evening until I got them all done. I'm glad to know that the toad is TJ. That could totally go either way. Ava's "real" name is Avery and the guys at the dealership weren't sure who to expect. Boy, were they surprised when she walked in. She had done all of the legwork over the phone and text messages.

Well, I'm going to get off of here. I've been writing this for what seems like hours. Steph just called me and we talked for well over an hour and now Chuck is waiting for me to watch TV with him. Sorry I didn't get any more personals done, but at this rate I won't get anything done tonight. Since it IS really May 31st, I have a lot of end of the month stuff to do again.

Hugs to all and XOXO.
