hello O-Fam! Ready to breathe?
Close your eyes and relax your shoulders, jaw, wiggle your head gently to loosen up your neck. Take a nice, deep breath in, hold for a second or two. And slowly release, letting all of the tension out of your body. Take another deep breath in, hold-- let it all out slowly. Let go of any bits of tension in your shoulders.
Much of my day was spent watching Tat-- she is doing so much better!! What a difference! The day before, she wasn't cleaning herself, any little baths were very much half-hearted. Even her tail was grubby and she never, ever lets that happen. She wasn't washing the porphyrin from here eyes/nose. She looked limp and slack. Yesterday she was almost herself. She was able to hold her food while she was eating it. She was lifting her head and able to look around. Her eyes were fully open and had the sparkle back. And her tail and fur were shiny and clean. Caitlyn and I were so happy! She called the vet to thank them.
Scott had a great time with Leah, in fact she is coming up here tomorrow for his birthday. I am so happy that this extended bubble seems to be working. her Graduation was supposed to be tomorrow so it will be a double celebration here.
We had a fun discussion at dinner, the 4 of us. Poor Gary had a Tiindamax (abx from hell!) headache and I felt his pain in memory. Remember how brutal those would get for me? I do not miss them at all. Nope.
Scott told us his grades-- 3 Bs and an A-!! Whoo-hoo!!! Both of them did so well, in spite of the semester being so difficult. They both worked really hard, several of their friends decided to take the Pass-Fail option as soon as it was offered and basically gave up. Both kids plan on auditing classes when the school is back open. I am so happy that they enjoy learning, I love it too and it makes me happy that their minds never really stop working.
They said that I did a great job as a mom when they were little. Of course, this had to be tempered with them recounting all of the times I was *not* a good mom-- like when I wouldn't buy them Flomo (some As Seen on TV scam) or made them eat Stroganoff for dinner. heh.
We picked this week's theme-- Alien Night. I think we are going to watch Avatar. We looked to see if Mars Attacks was streaming anywhere but it isn't. I have to see what food I can come up with. I know that I made round spaceship sandwiches when they were kids and we watched Scooby Do and the Aliens. Other than that, no ideas yet!
Today I have tons of desk work to do. Bills and banking. Finish the ShopRite order which means I have to clean out the fridge/pantry first. And I have to make cards for Leah and BFFs birthday.
HAGD!!! I hope that the sun is shining wherever you are!
