hey there! How are the Ooos all doing today? This Faery-O is blond again. Now if I could only get rid of the bags under my eyes I might feel more like myself. One reason I distrust everyone and everything is all of the commercials and advertising promising to get rid of dark circles and bags under your eyes. *nods* Nothing ever works on my eyes ~> Distrust in Life.

My mom is home and is planning on resting today. She has a few medicine-related issues to keep an eye on, they want to adjust some of her BP meds. But aside from being tired, she seemed good, back to normal in complaining about my dad to me at 9 am yesterday. "Why does he need to go to Traders Joe's today??? He went to Acme yesterday." Yes, that is a quote snipped from a much larger quote

Tom came over for dinner last night and one way I can tell he and Caitlyn are good for each other is what they ate. When Scott and Cait were little they loved dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets. They would pretend to fight them and of course, the ketchup was blood. (I still pick up the dino-shapes for Scott when they are available LOL) She's been bummed that since she is vegetarian, she hasn't eaten/played with dino nuggets. Guess what Tom found and bought for her? Vegan Dino Nuggets and the two of them pretended to have dino fights. Laughing and being silly are so important in all relationships but if they are going to make it long term as a couple, that is surely is way up there. (Also very funny for me to see this tattooed/pierced/long-haired/bearded guy playing with dino nuggets while my DD laughs non-stop)

I am cleaning this afternoon and then I have to paint my nails and hope that I don't mess them up when I cook dinner.
BTW- I scrapped my first LO for FS and I had fun!! So much fun being totally out of the box.

@BrightEyes what a great night's sleep, I am so jealous! The roof guy sounds like he has a good idea of what is important, that is really reassuring he is prioritizing you.
How are you feeling post-booster? That is exactly what I am worried about, cases are rising fast here too. I really hope that you aren't having any side effects for both of our sakes- and I remember saying the exact same thing to you last time

@Kythe I think I misread what you had said, I thought you were picked the other day for the CT too. But glad to know that you are having a great time with her stuff!

@bcgal00 How are you feeling today, and how is Remi? I hope you are both not pooped out. (sorry, BAD pun!)

@taxed4ever Yay for sun for you too!! I love hearing about the weather, makes me feel like I am not such a loser talking about it non-stop either. My kids were pretending to be me and stared out the windows "I hate the cold. I hate snow." I think I actually told you guys about it, that they said I needed a pull-string.
That sounds like a wonderful day getting some weeding done. My Rhodo is just starting to bloom and my azaleas are looking gorgeous. I guess tomorrow you will end up picking up sticks after the storms today.
I hope that Hunter is feeling better, bet he was very happy to have Grandma read to him
I hope the weather (there's that word again!) isn't too bad for you today.

I bet the ball jars that you painted looked very pretty! I did something similar with glass ornaments years ago. Cait and I will keep trying out different things, if we need more bottles, we will just have to drink more beer Bwahaha!

Yeah, big relief that my mom is doing well after the surgery- one less thing I need to annoy her about. *wink*Next step is to see if she is going to need the valve repair but that isn't something that will need to get done for months, the pacemaker might even help repair it on its own. The pacemaker is actually resynchronization therapy to get all 4 of her heart's chambers to pump at the same time. One of them was constricting at a different time from the rest which was one of the problems that they are hoping this will fix. If it does, it is possible that that enlarged chamber will shrink, and then the valve might also fit better and thus increase blood flow.
Increasing blood flow-- might also improve kidney function. Which is why I get so mad that she put it off for three years. Gah! Trudy, where is the rolling pin smilie when we need it??

Morning, all. I got my 2nd Covid shot yesterday morning. To be on the safe side, I took an OTC med shortly after I got home at noon. Was talking to the Pharmacist about it and she said she had a slight temp and needed to rest a bit for the 2-3 day after hers (last week). That meant it was working. If the heathcare people are getting the shots now... that makes me glad I got mine, too. Had a slightly restless night - work up a few times but went right back to sleep. The arm is a bit sore and am running a very low-grade temp 99.1*. Not feeling too bad. Will be taking OTC for the next few days and hope that will head off any bad side-effects. I let my primary care doc know I had the shot and also put it on record at the state Covid site. I also copied the Covid Vaccination Record cards and put one in my wallet so I would have it if needed. The originals and other copies are in my medical folder.

Well, the yard guy was no-show yesterday. He had told me he was very busy. Will give him until this weekend to come by... and if he doesn't, I will look for someone else. Too bad as he and his crew did a good job for me last year.

Had a surprise yesterday afternoon.... Chari and her son came by for a short visit. She had taken the day off to do some errands/appointments and was near here. She brought the light Turquoise Tee she had bought for me down. Glad to have it as I will probably be wearing the leggings and tops while we are having this warm/hot weather. While they were here, I got my grandson to swap the indoor antennas for me. The one that was in the bedroom gets all the local channels while the one in the family room couldn't get channels 13-1, 13-2, and 13-3! Once he swapped them out both antennas picked up all the local channels! Not sure why, but so glad to be able to get them all in the family room.

Have a couple of errands I need to run, drop off mail @ the Post Office, etc. Better get it done early today... just in case I don't feel like doing it later. CYL

I got my fourth#doctor shot Monday. Feeling good. It is a relief to know I am on full throttle as my heart is acting up again. I spent a night in the ER and really don't want to get COVID while there if I need to go again. NOw I wait for the testing appointments.

Good morning ladies. Got to be quick this morning. Furniture delivery is coming this morning so I need to hop in the shower. We finally got the hot tub ready last night and we all love it. It will be a daily thing to hop in after dinner for 20 minutes to relax. No microwave yesterday but my bedroom furniture came. Hopefully today the rest all comes, if not then I'll have to contact the microwave installer who is booked for tomorrow. Remi seems to be slowly recovering from eating onions out of the yard. She had me up at 2 and 5 to go out and poor girl has numerous attempts at going to the bathroom. Her energy and eating are normal so I think she'll recover ok, it'll just take time. I'm going to start giving her pumpkin with her probiotics to give her system a boost.

@faerywings sounds like your mom is back to her normal self. Bet you had fun with your first CT page for FS.

I'll come back later for personals but I don't want to be in my jammies when the delivery guys come so I have to go

Good Morning everyone! Batten down the Hatches, the wind is unbelievable this morning!! I hope I can get this posted before we lose our power!! The backyard is already covered in dead branches from our Bad Neighbours trees. Why couldn't the wind blow the opposite direction and fill their yard with branches and fir cones?? I just hope the big branches don't fly off the trees and land on our house! Anyway enough about the crappy weather! Yesterday was a great productive day! I made a batch of chicken bone broth (love my instant pot!!). I made fathead pizza for supper, got to the grocery store and Winners. I did not find any placemats that I liked though . I made a layout for one of the Challenges and started on a card for Mason. Today I need to make egg muffins for DH's breakfasts and I hope to get Mason's card out in the mail. Of course when I got home from being downtown yesterday a parcel was attempted to be delivered and I missed it. So now I have to go back to the post office today and pick that up, grrr! Tomorrow I go to the dentist to finally have my molar extracted, I am not looking forward to that!! However it does need to be gone as it is a constant PITA to always have to floss it because no matter what I eat, food always gets stuck in it.

@faerywings - Hunter was home again today, poor little guy has a bad cough, but it does sound better than it did yesterday. We read 5 story books together and I think he was almost ready to have a nap by the time we were done LOL. His Mom made him pancakes for lunch and then he was ready to say good-bye to his Grandma. I did not even get a chance to say hi to Heather, LOL. Yes we need that rolling pin smiley back for sure! Sounds like your Cait and her man are a good match! So nice that they can laugh and have fun together like that! Hooray for getting your hair colour done! Hope that the nail polish doesn't get wreaked while you make dinner tonight! You will be looking Mmmaaavelouss!!

@BrightEyes - Good for you for getting your second booster!! Hope that you are feeling ok today and that you have no side effects. DH and I never have had any side effects from our shots, sure hope it doesn't mean that they aren't working!! Darn that the garden guy did not show up for you yesterday! So hard to get good help these days, no one seems to want to work, or they are always calling in sick. Covid sure has changed everything!! How nice to have the surprise company yesterday! Great that the antennas are both working well now too! Hope you get your errands done today!

@Kythe - nice to have your fourth shot over and done with! Waiting to hear when we can get ours. That is scary that your heart is giving you trouble, sure hope the test results will help out with whatever is wrong!

@bcgal00 - Oh darn the microwave did not arrive!! How exciting to know that the furniture will arrive today though! Do you have to do all the assembly or do they? Hope your DH can get it done in a more timely manner than mine LOL. Wonderful that the hot tub is all up and running! You must just love it! What a great way to relax your muscles before bedtime! Enjoy!!!

Good almost afternoon - it will be by the time I get this done. It's 11:54.

Beautiful today - 75 right now, slight wind and just beautiful! I went outside already and took pictures. I got out yesterday to play with my herb babies, fed them and gave them lots of drinks. Chris @faerywings they sure did enjoy their stroll. Hahaha They really look good today after all that love.

I worked in the front garden a bit - I was energized now that the major weeds are gone. I pulled some more of them, rearranged some of my rocks and a lot of the pieces of driftwood. Those round gear things that I bought last spring are my stepping stones and they needed to be rearranged, too because the plants are twice the size they were last spring when I planted them.

I had one herb plant that the pick had gotten lost and I wasn't sure what it was. I used my Plant Identifier and it's sage! I made a stick for it but I don't think I'll forget now. My dill, cilantro and oregano are all flowering.

Chris, I know you know what I was talking about with the jars. It's super easy to do. I lost my big box of paints in the move and now need to replace them all. Dang the things I lost. I lost some Ball Jars and ALL of my rings and lids, too. We just ordered some more and Amazon has plastic multi-colored lids for them now. They're SO cute.. I have black labels and a white chalk pen arriving tomorrow to mark my jars. The chalk is removable so you can change the contents. I'm going to store my dried herbs in them (among other things).

Happy news about your mom!!! I'm sure you're all doing the happy dance. AND she's complaining about your dad again. LOL She must be feeling better.

SO cute about Tom playing with the chicken nuggets. I bet that IS funny to see.

Kay @BrightEyes I'm glad you're hanging in there after your second booster. Take it easy like they told you to do. That's probably why you didn't sleep well last night. I've made a decision that I'm done. Number 1 booster was it for me. I told Chuck that he could get it, but I was not. I've suffered too much with my arm and I have a little mole-thing where the needle went in. My DD (the MA) said he gave it to me right in the muscle and that you do NOT give an injection there. She told me in medical speak why I have that mark, but it went over my head. She advised me to not get another one. If I'm not fully vaxxed, then so be it. I had a reaction to all 3 of mine. But, I'm happy that you got yours and hope this is as much of a reaction as you'll get.

SO awesome that they stopped by and brought you your new turquoise shirt. That will be perfect with leggings. I've got one of my new t-shirts on today, too.
