Oh my, what is that that I see from my window? Could it actually be sunshine? It is! Thank goodness, I think I was getting some algae growing in the house. LOL It was brutal again yesterday and I ended up putting my hair into braids because it was a mess from the humidity. And it was *cold.* Walking around ShopRite, almost everyone was wearing winter boots and warm coats and sweaters.

I am so aggravated with that store- so many things I had on my list were out of stock. I was able to get some rain checks but that doesn't help me when I need to figure out what to cook. :violin:
I cooked a really yummy, labor-intensive dinner last night and both kids bailed on me at the last minute. Now I have leftovers for a few days. A win. Ish. haha!!
I am off to clean this morning and Gary and Cait are meeting my ILs at the DMV to buy/transfer the new car. I doubt it will be warm and dry enough to really do any yard work this afternoon but I guess I will have to wait and see. And hope!

Love to all of you!

The other thing I did yesterday was I finished the scrap page and *finally* was happy with how it came out. Maybe the tide and mood is turning :D
Kay- how was your RH lunch? Your yard guy sounds like he is good! I hope that he does his work as well and thorough as he does his prep work. Def. take some before and after pics. I bet that the difference will be striking. Thanks for the hugs- I needed them!
Trudy- I am beyond thrilled for you about the paintings!! So darn exciting! What did the gallery say about the one with the flaw? Any help with pricing? That was the part that I always struggle with then I make my Faery-Wings products.
I have been a bad CO too. The last two months, I have been 100% off my game so don't feel bad, you aren't alone.
I bet that you cannot *wait* to have the grands with you this summer. Great news that you don't have to travel either. :)

Nancy- Did the weather ever clear up by you? It never did here, it got worse as the day went on. we had to keep the heat on it the house all day. Maybe today I can turn it off. When will hockey over? At least it is only for a few months. Yes, I am so really looking forward to spending lots of time with the rats while Cait is away. It will be strange though. I usually text her pictures all day long but she won't have cell/internet service while she is gone. I guess I will have to take pictures and share them when she is back home.

Jean- It was your birthday over the weekend?? How did we all miss this? happy birthday!!!!!! Sorry to hear about the laptop dying. :( At least you got a great upgrade as your gift! Have fun with it.

Sending you all big hugs! xoxo

Morning, gals. I am up and dressed already. Have a busy day again today. Had a wonderful time at the RH lunch yesterday. Everyone was there so we got a lot of visiting and catching up on what is going on with each other. While I was there, I got a call from DD#3 wanting to know when I would be home as her friend from back-east wanted to visit with me. So instead of going to the base, I headed back home as soon as lunch was over. Had a great visit with with DD#3 and her friend. Both helped raised my spirits.

So I am up and dressed early so I can finally make a trip to the base. Since I have time, I will drop off hubby's clothes at the homeless shelter before going to the base for my meds refills and grocery shopping. Looks like we have had a turn for the better weather-wise. Will need a light jacket now but it is suppose to get to 80+ by noon with blue skies!!! Actually feels like spring is finally here.

Chris, sorry the kids bailed on being there for dinner after you spent so much time cooking it. But on the bright side... you have plenty of left-overs. Hope you are up to doing the cleaning job. Know the income will help.

Trudy, wishing you the best with sales at the gallery. Hope the owner will let you take some photos so we can see your work on display! So proud of you, gal!

Gotta run as I hope to be at the pharmacy before 9 so I don't have to wait too long in line. CYL

Morning everyone! It is going to be a nicer day today for our hike. It is a very close by one so that will be good! SIL Veronica is joining me on this one and we are all going to have our lunches at one of the other hikers home. So I imagine that this hike will not be too long of a one. There are several trails to do on this Mountain and some are very, very difficult. This one however is not too bad, so my legs will be very thankful! I got in 30 laps yesterday at the pool and the pool was very quiet, it was a good day! Got my paintings taken in to the gallery and she was very excited to see me, so that was very encouraging! She was happy to have my work to display in her window! She said that perhaps I should sell the not so good one for a discounted price and I agreed. Now I need to send in an Artist Bio to go along with my work as customers always are asking about the Artists. Ugh I am not good at things like that, but will get to work on one later today. So needless to say no scrapping for me today again. Also need to get BIL's saw finished too. I did a bit of work on it yesterday and I think it is going to turn out alright!!

Chris - I am so happy for you that the sun is making an appearance at your house today! :bliss: I sure hope it decides to stick around for many more days! That is too bad though that your grocery store is always out of stock of the items you need, you would think that they would be better at stocking their shelves!! It must have been disappointing to have the kids bail out on supper last night, but at least you have lots of leftovers now! :hungry: Thanks for being so proud of me LOL!! Yes she was very helpful with the pricing of my flawed piece, but was pretty sure that it would still sell. So keep your fingers crossed for me. No pictures of them in the gallery yet as she will get them all displayed in the window with the prices etc. She does a lot of work to display them so I will wander by one day and get photos. Hope that you get to go outside for a bit today!!

Kay - How nice that your daughter brought her friend by to visit with you and glad that it cheered you up a bit also! Your gathering of the RH ladies sounded fun, so nice to have good friends! Thank you also for being proud of me LOL it makes me feel pretty special!!

Jean - OMG :HapBirth: to you!! Sorry we are late with the wishes though! How nice to get the new Surface Pro!! You will love it I am sure! I saw and commented on your latest drawing on your blog, but it did not show my name for some reason?? Love this one!! Hope you manage to get the rest of your reinstalling done today!

Nancy - Another great hockey game for the Bruins, despite the horrible officiating!! Sorry you are not getting the nicer weather today! Yes it will be a busy summer for me, but you are right I will be tired, but a good tired LOL. Hope you and Luther got your walk in today! Now you are all ready for summer! Waxing done, teeth cleaned you are all good to go!

Ok I better get my lunch packed and get the bed made before Heather and Hunter call and then I will be scrambling to get out the door for the hike. Have a great day everyone!

It's partly sunny here too and a little warmer. I'm still working on reinstalling, now I'm to deciding what fonts to install. I've got some I can't remember seeing before let alone using, so weird.

Chris, hope the sun lifts your spirits even if you don't get to work outside. Bummer about the kids bailing on dinner, but then good to have the leftovers. Thanks to you and Trudy for the birthday wishes. I don't have mine in my profile, so it doesn't come up. Hope Cait is excited to get the new vehicle and will be happy driving it. With finals over, what are the kids doing for the summer?

Kay, your day yesterday sounds like a real improvement and getting up and out early today is encouraging. Hope all the errands went smoothly and the day turns out nice. Don't forget the yard before and after pix.

Trudy, thanks so much for the comment on my drawing! Always love to hear it. I'm excited for you with the gallery and clearly a nice woman running it. How wonderful that she expects sales for you! Look forward to the photos there. Today's hike and lunch should be so nice and with SiL too. All those laps yesterday must have felt good. Congrats to the Bruins. We only saw the game part way with the score 2-1, but see that was the final score. Wow.

Nancy, and all, hope it's a lovely day.

Finally home... was a long day! Got hubby's clothes dropped off at the homeless shelter... but it was south of where I thought...Glad I had checked the map before leaving the house. Had to go through road construction at the interstate on-ramp and again at the off-ramp. Managed to make to the base at a quarter-to-ten.. then had a big LOL as this was a late opening day at the pharmacy. It opened at 10! While I was waiting, I saw a kiosk selling jewelry and bought a darling silver/turquoise necklace, earrings and ring. Had to stop and get some gas as my tank was down to under a quarter full, then over to the grocery/commissary to stock up. Was disappointed that it looks like they are no longer carrying my favorite brand of margarine. I asked for paper bags but was informed that they had been out of them for over 2 weeks now!!! So have a bunch of plastic bags I didn't want. Didn't get home until after 2 PM. Finally managed to get some lunch at 2:30.... Guess I will have a snack or a late supper.

I will be careful what I wish for in the weather.... it shot up to 92 this afternoon!!! Thanks goodness for good insulation on the house as it is only 72 inside with no A/C or fans running.

I remembered to take some "before" photos yesterday afternoon. Yes, I am looking forward to seeing the yard once they get it done. Going to put my feet up and read [rest] for awhile. CYL
