The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
There is so much going on in my head! Nothing exceptionally good or bad, just a lot. This going back to cleaning (for 3 hours a week hahaha!!) is the pits! This has to be one of my busier weeks in a long time, something happening every day.

I had a lot of good stuff going on yesterday. I went to the garden center and got some plants. Tomatoes, eggplant, and cucumbers. Herbs (sage, chocolate mint, lemon verbena, thyme, rosemary, basil). A flat of impatiens for a bit of color. I still have one 3x3 raised bed that is empty and I am not sure what I want to put there. It was chilly but dry and I worked out there for a long time. I really need to power wash my little patio area and the siding of the house. I am not sure who in the family I can borrow a power washer from. My dad has one but it doesn't work adequately. Since I have a well, I don't think there is enough pressure to begin with and the machine struggles to put out more.
Speaking of my dad, I got to talk to him before he left for the hospital and he sounded like he was ready to go. He was originally scheduled for 3- had to be at the hospital at 1.30. Two hours for the surgery plus recovery- I figured I would hear by 7 pm. MY mom calls at 5, he hadn't even been taken in yet. She called again a little after 8, he had just gotten out of surgery and the reason he was pushed back to the end of the day was that his shoulder was so bad that the surgeon wanted him to be the last one so he didn't have to rush. He told my mom it was one of the worst cases he had worked on, there was nothing left to the joint/tissue around it. He should be home tonight and I am going to head down on Friday. I should make him peanut butter brownies- he can eat them with one hand. My mom made him Italian wedding soup for "sustenance" - I make brownies for fun. :p

My computer also came in yesterday and Gary was able to get it set up quickly. I am still fiddling around with extensions and logins and all that. But the two big concerns-- ACDSee and PS- went without a hitch, Whew!!! The only thing with PS is that I didn't think to save the settings/workspace info but that should be easy enough to configure.

I am cleaning for my neighbor today which should be ummmmm interesting. He is the one that collects weapons and I swear I need steel toe boots in there. I have knocked over swords and knives hanging on his walls, bumped into the knight's suit of armor while vacuuming. And to top it off, his house is tiny. Not much room to move let alone clean (safely). I wonder if got anything new in the past year. Ohh boy. Wish me luck!

Have a fab day!

Thx for good thoughts for my dad!!

@tanteva Oh my goodness, that hot shower must have been amazing. As I have said before, we have horrible water pressure so if you are in the shower and anyone else in the house uses hot water, you get only cold water. Not fun.
I love this:
I really like to scrap from challenges. I like to work from rules ... so I can tweek them ;)
Same here!
Hope that the weather is nice for you to get some spring/nature photos today.

@nancyr You are so lucky to have good restaurants nearby. My town is such a dud with that. That is weird that the oven repair doesn't have a name with the Caller ID unless it is made from the tech's personal phone, that is what happened with the washing machine service. Hope it works out tomorrow and gets fixed. I hope that Trudy's oven is working by now.

@Kythe sounds like your b-day was perfect!

@Cherylndesigns Daisy sounds like my Harley. We were laughing the other night about how she loved the cats but they didn't love her when she got in their faces. We would pick nails out of her forehead where they had whacked her. Heh!
Don't forget to share pictures of the garden. I will take some of what I have been working on soon but right now everything looks scraggly- in another week they will be more settled and spread out. Although, I gotta say my azalea is gorgeous! Even the small one is blooming.

I guess I should get some breakfast so I can head over to the supermarket in a bit. Hugs to you all!

Did get a walk and got some nice photos. Scrapped one already:

Hubby was a bit grumpy this morning, and said I shouldn't scrap all day. Even texted me to tell me to get out. I was out when I got the text, so he was too late. LOL

And I've only made 3 layouts so far today. :D I'm not comfortable with just dumping layouts in galleries without showing some interest in the places. Hence I've been doing some challenges as Just Art and at Gingerscraps. Chatting a bit and being nice. You know me - I'm such a nice person. And humble. ;)

Have heard some upsetting rumours. Not sure if it's true or not - and really have no one to ask. But a friend had heard that another friend is no longer with us. Trying not to think too much about it. This is a small town, and people "know" so much at times. Guess I will know eventually. I'm not sure if we fell out or just grow apart, I haven't talked to her in years, but she was a very important part of my life some years ago. It was nice to get out for a walk, enjoy the sun and the fact that I'm happy and alive.

Morning, all. Yesterday had its good and bad points. Waited all morning for a call from Primary Care doc. Turns out the phone number in my chart at her office was off 1 digit so she was calling the wrong number. Glad I got that straightened out finally. So it will be another few weeks until she has an opening again. Am on the waiting list in case of a cancellation. Went over to the public library to turn in the books and got a wonderful surprise... the stacks are now open so we can browse for books we might like! ! ! ! And the New Books rack was FULL, too! Checked at the Senior Center but their library is not open yet... just has the Little Library cart in the front foyer. Also did a stop at the bank and then filled the car up with gas. My doorbell rang at 7:30 PM and I found a beautiful floral bouquet sitting by the front door. Didn't see who delivered it as they were gone by the time I got to the door. It was for Mother's Day from DD#1 and her hubby. She has told me on Sunday that it should be delivered on Monday... guess they were really running late as it wasn't delivered until last evening.

Discovered yesterday that I had forgot to hit POST on one of the challenge threads. Had the LO in the gallery and then put it in the forum thread but missed hitting post. Geeze... so glad we have the new platform as my post was waiting for me when I checked the thread.

Chris, wish I had some of your energy vis a vie working on getting things planted in the garden. I really need to get some potting soil for the pots I have. Discovered that the Lavender tree DD#3 gave me should only get to be about 3' tall. The pot it is in right now is too lightweight to be outside without being tied to a post. I have 5 pottery pots that need something in them. I have some day-lily bulbs that I should put them along with the Lavender tree. We have been having high winds so will have to wait to work on them until the winds die down.

Chris, I was LOL over your description of trying to clean that guy's house... swords and suits of amour, etc. I have visions of swords flying around chasing you out of the house! ! ! Glad to hear that your Dad had his surgery... sounds like he had a good doctor. Hope he recovers quickly.

Oh, Eva... I could almost hear you laughing as you reveled in the hot water in the shower!!! Cold water showers are the pits.

Cheryl, glad the ditch-diggers didn't chase the humming birds away as they worked to get your WiFi ditches dug. You are going to be so happy once it is installed. BTW, loved your LO... fantastic photo.

Rae, what a treat to see B again and have a good visit with her. Sounds like Remi is doing well now... and getting so big!

You were all right... it is good thing I had not packed my down comforter away as we had a cold front come in last night. I was nice and warm snuggled under it dressed in my winter-weight PJs. So back in long sleeves and heavy-weight pants again today. Suppose to bounce back into the 80's by the weekend.

Good afternoon all. Chris, @faerywings such good news about your dad! Well, good that he's home and has an appetite. Not good that he was the worse! Sounds like he has a great surgeon though. That he moved him to last because he knew he'd take more time. Not good that your mom and dad had to wait in the hospital even longer than they would have!

Sounds like you had a good day at the garden center, too. I still need a few herbs/spices - they were out of some that I wanted. I'm going to go back again and see if they got more in. They had a whole section of flowers that attract butterflies too, but I didn't have enough time (or money) to plunge into that section. I'm going to take pictures today - it isn't raining. Yay. The front garden will be "before", which I haven't taken because of the foul weather. The tiered garden is looking really good. The plants are all very perky looking.

I had to laugh about Harley - Sam is just starting to get a little closer to Daisy, I think they might be making up. We all sat on the couch again last night and watched TV. Of course, Sam always sits on Chuck's lap. (His favorite person).

I'd forgotten how entertaining cats are. I've always said "they're obsessed with nothing". This poor cat, watching the Hummingbirds is off the chart funny. Kay @BrightEyes that huge, noisy ditch digger did nothing to deter those birds from their feeders. I could not believe it. This cat doesn't phase them either. They know, somehow, that the cat can't get to them. One of them flew right up to the window and "hovered" there. I'm sure the cat's eyes were crossed. LOL

We're SO excited for the WIFI that's coming soon. It will still be a couple of weeks (we hope) before they get to the point of actually running it into our houses, but we can wait - it's been a long, miserable 6 months without it. You all know what I've had to go through "my office". ROTF

Eva,@tanteva that photo/layout is sensational! What a lovely view and I hope you find out about your friend, soon - that is disturbing.

I just wanted to jump on here and say hi. I need to take Daisy for a walk and it's finally warmed up and NOT raining, as I said before.

Waving to all.

good day - a busy day day though not necessarily productive. I did go grocery shopping so that made me happy as that is done for awhile. Then had a good two mile walk with Luther. It is so upsetting - while I was gone I got a notice from our local gas company that while they were updating and replacing gas lines they hit a line that released a liquid. On getting home it turns out they must have hit an oil line as there are hazmat trucks and remediation going on in the little creek at the end of my block and at the end of the creek before it hits the river. It does not look like much was damaged so that is good. But darn I wish they were more careful with either the old maps or with the painting of the lines. They had roads shut off so I cant even walk Luther the way he normally goes. But we did fine LOL! Plants continue to bloom. Love azaleas, irises, and dogwoods. Watching the last of the regular season hockey games. Play offs start Sat even though the regular season is not over until Sunday. Covid in the Canucks team pushed back the end of the season.

@faerywings Chris so glad that the surgery went well even if delayed. You had said that there was not much left so I am glad the surgeon knew to do his last so he did not rush. Brownies sounds yummy to me. He is going home fast. I milked it for 3 days. Glad I did. Starting the rehab at the hospital helped a lot. Have fun visiting. Your gardening sounds awesome. It was not too bad today temperature wise but a bit breezy. So glad your new computer was set up so easily! So fun to have a new toy when it works. Watch out for the armor as you clean!

@tanteva Eva glad you got out for a walk. Being outside is always best for me. Love the scrap page. I agree I hate to post too much if I don't leave lots of comments on other pages.

@BrightEyes Kay that must have been so nice to receive that bouquet of flowers. What a nice thing for them to do. I got a rose and I love it. Congrats on finding new books. I am finding that I would much rather read than anything but I need to get the photos off my computer. Yesterday I only got 6 months of photos off my computer. I will be working more on it tonight.

@Cherylndesigns Cheryl Oh how nice to have a new cat. I got to see my sister's on my trip and he is a polydactyl cat and she calls him Mittens. My dog and cat will never get used to each other. Your tiered gardens seem like the way to go if I was to garden. Hope you find more plants.

Waving to all
Have a great day!
