We are really counting down the days left in March. We might actually get into the 50*s today and no rain. That would be nice.

Yesterday was an odd one, I know- what else is new? It was feeling Tindamax-y when I left the house to go get blood drawn and then food shopping. The parking lot for the Lab was so crowded that I ended up not going in. I didn't want to have to deal with people. ha! Then at Shop Rite, the music was really loud- maybe it was just me- but it hurt. The cart that I got had the squeakiest wheels too. But I made it.
Don't ask me why but I got a bug in my head to make oatmeal cookies. The food pantry keeps giving me oatmeal and no one really eats it except Gary. What else is there to do with lots of oatmeal than bake homemade cookies? I am not sure what to think of them. They taste good, but the consistency was weird. The family loved them so that is good.

Then Caitlyn and I played three rounds of pool and she beat me every time. They were close, and the last game I beat myself when the 8 ball went into the wrong pocket and I scratched. Only me! :pound:

Cait and I made homemade ravioli for dinner. She does most of the work, I just fill the wonton wrappers. We work very well together and we have fun so it is nice to do that and they are delicious. I am making the 2nd corned beef for dinner tonight and Cait will have leftovers. I thought she was babysitting tonight but I messed up all the days.

Today I have to (get my act together- if you never heard me say that before) clean for my neighbor. Catch up on some CT work, figure out why I have no space left on my cell phone and my iPod. Clean my office...

I should get going, so I can do all of that before I poop out. Too late! LOL

Nancy- only 4 home games left? That really did go fast! I hope that they finish the season with lots of wins!
My poor pups are very cooped up and Jaida is feeling it. Luther must have had so much fun playing with all of the other dogs. Good for you for clearing out the clutter, I need to do that too but the weather bringing' me down. I will get the bug when it warms up more.
ITA-- Trudy and Rae are really amazing and their life changes show!

Trudy- are you getting any sunshine today? I will happily share mine with you. High fives for productive days even if the bedding you liked was out of stock.
That is fantastic about the wine making kit. Gary bought a beer kit years and years ago and it sat in the attic until I sold it at a garage sale. But the wine kit sounds neat!
I hafta admit, I was hoping for some good visuals of you and your Gary stomping grapes a la Lucy and Ethel.

Rae- what a neat thing to have for your photos backdrop. That is one thing that I hate when I try to take photos of my faery-Wings products- keeping all of the "muck" out of the background.
hope you got all of your work done so you were able to help Jen!

xoxo

good morning - well my Devils lost in a SO 4-3 against the Jets. We gave up a short-handed goal to tie the game and it seemed the team just sort of felt they were not going to win. It was a rainy day and I only got Luther out once during a break. It is to be sunny today with breezes but so far this am there is no sun. Today is a must go to store and figure out dinner. But other than that I have a do nothing day! I plan on scrapping. One thing about not having but 3 hockey games left I can catch up on my hockey pages. My husband was so funny he said I would be going through withdrawal and I said hockey games don't end until June and I will have less stress as I can cheer for any team.

Trudy bet it felt good to be back at the pool. Hope the rain cleared for your hike today. That is so interesting that the wine turns out better than the store. It must be the love and care you and your DH put into it. Saw on my news show this AM that the two things you must not do to get a good nights sleep - do not go to the bathroom unless you really have and do not look at your phone or clock. I laughed at the go to the bathroom as that is what wakes me up. And I find it more stressful not to know what time it is LOL.

Rae that is awesome about the cabinets for Jens new place. Hope the work went well! How fun to be setting up your own micro-photography space. Cant wait to see some photos of the spring flowers and buds.

Have a great day all!

Morning Ladies it is pouring rain this morning :rain: so I will wait and see what the weather is like closer to 9:30 am and see if I will venture out to the hike this morning. I am not going to hike a mountain in the pouring rain!! Our hike was changed from a very difficult one in Victoria, to the shorter less difficult hike to the Cross on Mt. Tzohaleum very near where I live. DH and I have done this hike a few times and it is nice, but not in a downpour! :mmph: I am ready for the sun to show itself again!!

Here is a photo of the cross at the top but it sure won't look so nice today!

Chris - Sorry that you are feeling so crappy again! Hope that your cleaning goes well today! No sunshine here today, so I guess I will try out my treadmill for a while this morning. I keep checking the rain outside, but its not letting up yet :mmph: Yes we love making our wine, it was a bit expensive at first having to buy all the equipment needed, but now it is a great inexpensive way enjoy a fun hobby! We could always have it made at the Ubrew place where we buy the kits, but then that would cost us a lot more. The only thing you have to do at the Ubrew is pick out the wine you want and then go there when its time to bottle and you use their equipment which is far more efficient and modern. But what fun is that LOL. One day when DH is no longer wanting to do his own wine making we will have to re-think doing that.

Nancy - Sorry that your Devils lost their game in a SO!! I hate those and wish they would just play the OT until someone scores! It puts so much pressure on the players, especially the goalie! Had to laugh at the not going pee in the night, as that is what wakes me up every night also!! I never look at my phone before I get into bed and always leave it in the living room charging and turn it off so I do not hear any message notice beeps. Yes it did feel good to get back to the pool yesterday and it was much quieter! Did 25 laps so I was really happy with that! I have more energy now another wonderful side effect of this diet LOL. Hope you and Luther can get out for a nice walk soon and the at the weather gets sunny for you both! Ugh on the grocery shopping today, I hate grocery shopping and did mine yesterday, happy that I don't have to go today!

Rae - We are most likely cross posting, unless you are swamped with work again this morning! Hope you get to have some scrappy time today! Do you and Taz still venture out for a walk in the pouring rain? Probably you do, thus the reason for all of your different rubber boots LOL.

I need my morning coffee and then I will see if my SIL and brother are going to try out this hike today in the rain. Still undecided as to if I should go or not. I hate to miss out on the fresh air and exercise. Oh decisions, decisions!! What to do?? :becky: Have a great day everyone!

Good morning, ladies. Got an early start on work today b/c Jen is coming over after dinner for some different headshots for her social media stuff. She's getting a makeover at Sephora and then coming here. It'll be fun. It'll be a nice confidence boost for her to get all dolled up and I'll do a little PS touch up too.

I have been working with amazon prime photo storage and am refining my process. I'm happy with how its working out. I will never loose another photo again in a computer crash. Twice was enough for me. It is going to take a long time to transfer photos but I'll do a bit each day.

We got the 2 cabinets for Jen last night and I saved her a bit of money by offering a little less money since we were buying both cabinets. The seller said ok. They are like brand new and fit perfectly along her kitchen wall. We didn't realize how much stuff she had before LOL. Its been tricky for her to find storage spots for everything so the 2 cabinets will definitely help.

Today I'm working, watching Anna's final chat this afternoon and hope to get Taz out for a bit as I wasn't able to get him into daycare this week, they were all booked up. Unfortunately, the girls that used to fit him in regardless of being fully booked aren't there anymore, darn it. I hate booking too far in advance b/c I feel its such a waste if its a rainy day and he stays indoors for most of it, not running and playing like he would outside.

Chris - when you take product photos, do you use a backdrop at all? An easy thing to do is use a few pieces of painters tape (or anythng non-destructive to your wall or furniture) and tape a cloth, paper, whatever you want to use, to the wall/furniture to create a clean backdrop. The best way, if long enough, is to attach the one end and then pull to create a curved arch between wall and flat base.

Nancy - have fun spending more time on your hockey pages. I always love to see them.

Trudy - hope you have a good hike if you go. We used to make wine at a local company b/c one of Darrell's work buddies owned it so we got it done really cheap. I don't drink much these days so stopped making it. My wine shelf in the kitchen now holds my torani syrups LOL. I do enjoy the occasional glass of beer or wine but now I'll have to try a few low carb beers to see if I like any of them.

I'm getting back to work, wanting to catch up before taking a break this afternoon for Anna's last chat. Have a great day, everyone.

I haven't been around. DD had PRK lasix eye surgery yesterday and she basically has to sleep for 3 days. DH and I are taking shifts- 24 hour coverage at her house. After Monday, I should be in full force as she should have her eyes right by then. She won't be able to drive or see 100% yet, but at least she can stay in her own house. She didn't sleep the night of the surgery (Monday) she went to sleep at 1100 on Tuesday morning and has only been up for a total of 2 1/2 hours. You have to sleep because the pain is horrific. Helllo to all.
