New day overhere so I opened a new thread, hope that that is ok :)

didn't had time yet after monday, so here I go:

Laurie I hope you feel better today!

Ow Chris I can understand you get cranky about that snow, I would to.
Hugs for you, hope that everything will be ok with Cait!

So sweet of you to say Phylis, thank you, everything for the kids though right ;)

So sad your mom is in so much pain Terry, I will keep you all in my prayers!

Nancy thank you too! Unfortunally my son is only 8 and not even in his teenage years ... I don't even want to think about that yet ;)

Ow Trudy that must be difficult such a niece and maybe she'll think your mean, but so good you said no to her!

I understand you Eva, I have the same when people say I'm a good mom ... like you have a choice ... but still I do do it with much love, wouldn't change a thing about them, other than for them to be happy ... (but which mom doesn't want that for their child)
My son love computers and all too ... a little geek ;) and I'm honest to him too, I told him that life's not always fair and even grown ups can behave like kids do and that not everyone is as friendly and smart as he is ;) he doesn't mind if someone is different, as long as they are nice. What he can't stand is injustice and violation of rules.
For him building online friendships he might be a bit to young still, I don't know if there are Dutch forums for him and he knows a bit English but not enough yet to actually get by and make friends.
I hope you will be able to get help with the trip, looks like great fun! Hugs for you!

Ow and I forgot to tell about today. This morning I've only planned to bring the kids to school and pick them up, this afternoon I have to go to physiotherapy and I have to cook, besides that I'm doing nothing .... at least nothing I don't feel like doing ;)

Have a nice day everyone!

Good morning!!
Great job opening this thread.:)

I have to be quick too, I have to get in the shower and do my hair and make up and that really kind of bites. I like the no makeup and hair in a pony look much better lately. Of course I look scary with no make up and hair in a pony but I guess that is part of the trade off.

Today is the trial, all a bit nervous.
Wish Scott luck please!

I'll be back in a bit (hopefully) for personals.

Morning ladies- Chris will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers today. Alegna- I am feeling better, less sneezing, just coughing, so will return to work and see how the day goes. If the coughing subsides, I should be just fine. Perhaps all I needed was a day of rest! I am holding off on exercise until this cold subsides. Chris- my son mentioned garlic to me as a way to ward off infections and it reminded me of you!

Hi! I m back for a few while I have a quick cuppa!

Thankyou for the good thoughts! xoxo

Laurie- so funny about the garlic-- you know I swear by that. And if your son agrees, you know we must be right about it ;)

Angela- enjoy your day!!! Its sounds very low key and relaxing. I cannot imagine what that must be like hahahah!!!
I am sooo with you and Eva, I do what I am supposed to do, how could I not put 100% into my kids and to Gary too. I have had people tell me that they would have left their husbands with everything we have been through. Its like WHAT???? Would you leave your husband if he had cancer or ms??
But I also agree with what Phyllis said. Some people are not either strong enough or have the capacity to love unconditionally. Sadly those are the parents that give up on their kids. I have seen that happen with kids here in my town, some of them friends with my kids. It breaks my heart.
But we are good moms and wives and women. And IMHO- because we focus so much on our loved ones, we forget that bit about us. Its wonderful when people like Phyllis remind us of that. YKWIM?

So here is to all of the good moms and good women and to all of us who support each other!

Yesterday's OOos

Phyllis- seriously, what is it about men? I joke that only women can find things b/c the uterus is a Homing Device. But the clothes too? Too funny about the shoes, SMH

Terry-- hugs and strength and love to you, your sister and your mom. That is nuts about about the transport. Would Medicare cover if if it were prescribed/required by a doctor? Hope that the family dr was able to stop by yesterday too.
Keep us posted on how she is doing. I cannot imagine the pain she must be and and how frustrating it is too.
Send that heat here please!!!

Nancy- you lucked out with just the slush. But even that is yucky!
How was the game?? Did you bite you nalsl the whole time? Bet you are hoarse as well *grins*

Trudy- what a crazy niece! Did she really think she could pull one on you? *eye roll*
We would have so much fun in your garden, I mean on your deck, no I mean weeding and stuff :p
Hope you enjoyed your day and scrapped.

Nana- good to hear Mike is off the $#@% list!! Hope it stays that way.
How did it go at the dr for him too? Hope everything is ok!

Eva- hugs sweetie!!!!!!!

Sally OMG- last year I was in Christmas Tree Shop and they had the cutest cleaning stuff- gloves, dustpans, broom, toilet bowl brush. I wanted them all cuz I thought that they would make me happy to clean. Then I thought about it.... nope!
I am on my way to TX!!!!! Think I would stick out like a sore thumb??? Unless I went to Austin, Austin is pretty liberal right? :pound:

IV food and coffee for al of us! Great idea!!!!! (psst, I think I might have some leftover tubing and saline bags left over from Gary, think we should try it?? LOL)

Tracy- she sounds like she has a great mom to help her enjoy those la la loopsies.
My friend's DD is 7 and loves la la loospies too.

Gotta run, love to all who stop in!!!!

Its sounds very low key and relaxing

it only sounds like that, the kids are home this afternoon and there is nothing relaxing about that ;)
This morning I got phonecalls I didn't want and I did some laundry, couldn't leave it all undone, so my plan to do nothing I didn't want to do failed already :pound:

I understand what you mean and yes I do know parents too that give up on their kids, but I can't understand that, just so sad ...

Good morning! It is sunny cold but sunny! And spring is here officially - it arrived at 7:02 am here in NJ. Seeing the sun makes me happy! My son is managing to get himself up at 5:30am to get to work so that makes me happy. My Devils lost last night to the NY Rangers. It was a great game and my team had chances but just could not put the puck in the net. However it totally sucks when the refs make a horrendously bad call. I know from experience that bad calls are made and the team has to play through. And as all us Moms know life is not fair LOL. But the good part was I sat with my DIL in the 2nd row from the ice. I love seeing them up close. Talking to Amanda was fun! Then going to Dunkin Donuts for hot chocolate after the game and riding home on the train with my DH was fun!

Chris good luck to Scott and you at the trial!

Laurie hope you are feeling better!

Sally I love the procrastinating - but I think of it as priorities and cleaning and dishes end up low on my list LOL

Phylis nothing wrong with taking it easy.

Sally my sons were in gymnastics for years, not for competition but for fun. And I basically love all sports but basketball and I think that is due to the fact I am very height challenged LOL.

Trudy LindaW and Phylis yes men do have many redeeming qualities but at times they make your head shake in disbelief.

Ladies have a great day!

hi, there! another day of transfering CD audiobooks into iTunes. it SOUNDS easy enough, but you can't believe how disorganized the sorting stuff inout on the original CDs. is. if you try to directly impirt, the tracks are spread out all over the place in my iTunes library. SO, i have to rename a lot of stuff so they match and also line up in order when i import them. GAAH!! then, over to Quest Diagnostics i go to get some blood work and a pee test to see if i have ANOTHER bladder infection. damn. later gonna make some baked kibbe and spinach pies, baba ganouge, and lemon-dressed salad for dinner.

Chris, i hope all goes smoothly at the trial. you're probably there already. i can't wait to hear your story!!

Alegna, hope you find a small bit of time just for yourself today!

Laurie, good that you're feeling somewhat better. EVERYONE benefits from a day OFF!

Nancy, your weather sounds just like ours. i am loving the sunshine. BIG change from usual. and re: the Penguins. let me just say very loudly what Bob Prince, the former, late and great Pittsburgh Pirates' play by play guy used to say during a winning streak (or even after just ONE win): WE MAY NEVER LOSE AGAIN!!! ok. now that i've said that, the Pens will probably lose their next game....:mmph:

hope the sun is shining where you are! it makes ALL the difference!

Morning everyone... Hooray, my day off and of course its pouring :rain: so no outside walk for me today, guess I will have to hit the treadmill :bored: Slept until 7am the best sleep I have had in over a week!! I am sure I will pay for it the rest of the week :mmph:
Have to fill in a few hours for one of the young girls that work at the store, she is in a deep depression and is off work for a few days so I have a few more hours than usual bit not too many so thats ok!

Angela - Nice of you to open the thread! Hope that you find some quiet time today and get to do something just for you today!!

Chris - Sending you best wishes for Scott at the trial today, hoping all goes well!! You must be so very proud of him!! Can't wait to hear all about it!

Laurie - Sure hope you are feeling better today and your cough subsides!! Don't want to make those kidos sick!! Sending virtual chicken soup your way!! Feel better!!

Nancy - Sounds like you always have a great time when you go to the games!! Even if your team doesn't win! Big Bad Bruins are not doing so well lately either, but like you say they can't win all the games!! Those darn refs!! (shhhh) I have to say that quietly, hubby was a ref for years for the WHL, he was a good one too, but broke his leg at a game badly and had to hang up his skates!! I refused to go watch him after a while, could not stand some of the horrible things people said to him. Always told him he was a sucker for punishment , got called terrible things for being a police officer and for being ref :becky:

Phylis - Nice that you have the patience to do all that transferring!! Glad to hear that you are finally getting some sunshine in your area!! We are in for so much rain here that we might have to start building the ark!! LOL Its all good though, we need to fill up the lake for the hopefully dry summer that we are supposed to have. Guess time will tell.

Saw my sister yesterday, but did not have the heart to tell her about her daughter trying to get money from me, she was so happy and telling me all about her visit to see her grandson in Toronto, just did not want to ruin her day. I did a page quite a while back about her troubles . Not too many things have changed for her, except she is so thin now from stress!

I made it before the morning was over YAY!!!My floors were so disgusting....it's hard to believe what kids can do to them in such a short period of time!!!! IIICK!!

So I did a major scrub on them...took most of the morning....well, I have been scrubbing everything in there...the chairs..all the table legs...took my plants out and give them a wash and pruned....at least one room looks good....until about 2:30 this afternoon.

Mike will live!!! YAY!!! doc says the meds are making him dizzy and shaky...keep taking them for a few more weeks, his body has to get used to them..then decide....if it doesn't stop then he is having side effects that means change the meds.

Okay...seriously....it did not do for me to gain this little girl to raise....I am spending so much time online looking at all the girly clothes and accessories!!!! I want to buy it all!!! I made a couple of orders last week...but they were seriously on sale and I found some coupons on line to use too....I got her 5 pair of shoes for $18 .... why does she need that many? ~sigh~ But reality....I could not have gone to the store here and bought her one pair for that amount!!!! LOOK FOR LOTS OF FEET PHOTOS/LAYOUTS!! :becky:

Okay ladies...I am hoping you are all having the most wonderful day...it's sunny and a tiny bit warmish here....but that is not lasting...wintry mix ....AGAIN this weekend.
LOVE TO YOU ALL

Afternoon, girlies!!! Today, I'm sooooo chill (as my 18yo would say!!). Lillian and I have a date to go walk to a field to pick buttercups, but other than that and Emma's soccer tonight, I just have chill plans!! LOL!!

This morning I had a late breakfast with Lillian, and while we were eating, she mentioned that she wished she had met my dad! (he passed away 22 yrs ago.) So I got out our home movies of me as a baby until I was about 7 so Lil could see my dad. My mom had had our super8 videos put on VHS way back when, and the people put the most craziest music (Moon River, Theme from Exodus, etc!! LOL!!!) on there since super8 didn't have sound. I laughed for an hour with the videos! Then Lil wanted to see her 1st bday video. So basically from 11-1, we watched videos. Homeschooling at its best!! LOL!!! Now she's doing her 6th grade math, and hopefully doing it well!! LOL!! My Quentin (15) isn't even up yet.

I love Wednesdays...just sayin'...

Hugs to everyone!!! :) love you all!!

Sally, i wanna do Wednesdays at YOUR house!! the old movies sound like so much fun. isn't it great that L was interested?!!

Trudy, the situation with your sister is so sad. i went over to look at the page you made. beautiful. terribly sad. you know, when your kids are little, you never think about the possibility that they will be heartbreaking as adults. it's just never over, is it?

Nana, looking forward to some more Girlzie Art from you! and, whoa!! where did you get all those shoes for such a little bit o' money?? P.S. i'm loving that avi, too! do they have any of chubby, straggly-gray-straight-haired ladies in embarrassingly gly night shirts? that'd be me... :becky:

well, i closed my eyes and the sun went away. figures.... :hurt:

Typing this from the hospital. Took my mom to the ortho today. Her hip blew out and now they have to do full hip replacement surgery. The surgery will be tomorrow at 1PM. I'm staying the night because her oncologist is supposed to see her tomorrow morning during rounds-about 6AM. Since I want to be here to speak with him, I figured it would be better to spend the night than to get up at 4AM. Oh- she does have cancer and he wants to consult with the surgeon.

Needless to say, I am stressed!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

Terry - hope your mom is doing better from her hip soon. I worked w hipreplacements (and knees and more) for about a year way back.

Lessen learned (aside from getting the surgery done well ) mobilization is kee not to get complications. It will hurt, but there are good pain pills for that - Staying flat in bed day after day is not the way to go. Know some hospitals don´t have enough physiotherapists and nurses to get it al done - you might have to pretend to be one :cheer2:
