Happy Hump day!
It's another cool day here and will be drizzly too. Yesterday was sunny but *freezing,* I couldn't get warm.

Good news for Jaida-- she is all healed up. The bone and new joint are solid so we can let her resume normal activity (chasing and barking at dogs that walk on the street) gradually so she can rebuild the muscle. No more baby gates on the stairs! YAY!!
Dinner was fun, I love having everyone here even if it gets a little crazy :D
I am working this afternoon and this morning should be quiet. Perhaps.

:D

Hope that you al have a peaceful day ahead ♥

@vickyday I don't think we have any before pictures of the bath/Scott's BR. We wouldn't want them anyway-- they were pretty dingy. ;)
Good job on the walk! It has to feel good seeing yourself get a little faster or go a little longer over time. Yay!
I hope that Noah gets his act together too. I know you worry about him like your own.
I hear ya on cooking pork- I rarely make it myself, but it's such a fine line from juicy to dry.

@BrightEyes dance3 GREAT news about SIL!!!!!! What a relief!
Hope you enjoyed your PJ day

@Cherylndesigns Oh wow, so sorry that the dog is making life crazy. Are there leash laws in your area, would Animal Control be able to fine the owner?
Good luck with the paperwork, sorry that SS is making it harder than it should be. :(

HAGD!

Yes, I am enjoying seeing the gradual improvement as I walk! I would love to see myself get back to what my deceased DH and I used to walk.....4 miles/hour! But, I realize that won't happen! I'm happy to get 3mph! We used to walk that 4 miles 5 - 6 times a week! There is no way I can even do the 1 mile 5-6 times per week.....not yet, anyway!

Yes, I've even given having Noah move in so we could give him limits and guidance, but his mom needs him. She is in her 40s and has had several strokes already. Last time I saw her, she is very unsteady on her feet! I cannot believe she is still driving!

Good Morning!
38* feels like 34 this morning at 8 a.m. Sunshine all day is in the forecast with a high of 69! That's quite a bit warmer than they were predicting earlier in the week! I'll take it!

I'm going to drive Ilene to pick up her van she had preventive maintenance done to so it would be ready for our trip to PA next month. We will be going to the Sight and Sound theater, visiting the Hershey house (??) and various other things while in the Amish area.

I'll probably spend some time with her today, but I do want to get my walk in, especially since the weather is going to be so nice! Maybe she will go with me. I will have to walk slower, but at least I will be up and moving, right?

I fixed cubed sweet potato in the air fryer for my lunch yesterday. They got a little more done than I like, but were still good and soft on the inside.

Mark, Bobby, Kevin and Mariann (his wife) and a couple of teen sons spent about 4 hours in the woods shooting at targets yesterday. Mark was pooped when he got back to the house at 7:30. But he said everyone had a good time! He said his backboard for the targets is going to have to be replaced now! He will use some of his milled wood to do that.

That's about it on the Homefront for today!

Good morning ladies. I am home from our cruise. I spent all day yesterday in bed with nasal/chest congestion and headache. Feeling a bit better today but will rest quite a bit. It's hard to function much with a bad headache. The cruise was wonderful, met some lovely people who we had dinner with most nights and played games with on sea days. One of the gals is into birding and photography so we had fun together. It was so cool to see the penguins up close and rounding the cape horn was a memorable experience. The weather was calm enough that the ship to able to do a 360° turn all around before heading to the other side which doesn't happen often so we were very lucky. By calm I mean that the wind knocked a few people over, we were holding onto railings to steady ourselves to try to take photos and it got so cold and wet with spray from the waves that a bunch of us sat down on the floor behind the plexiglass to protect ourselves before jumping back up for more photos. What an experience that was!

I'll take it easy for a few days but looking forward to scrapping some of my photos soon.

I'm getting another tea, get back to loading pics and then go lay down for a bit. HAGD everyone.

Nope, no leash laws here. :( Animal control says there's nothing they can do. He was here again about 6 AM and the dogs were going wild.

I was shocked that it was going to take that long with the ss stuff after I called to report his passing, which they already knew (apparently when the death certificates are generated, they are notified) So why I wasn't able to get an appt until April is beyond me. My appt is by phone and they need all this documentation so I'm not sure how that's going to work. It's not even a virtual call. My guess is this will only be step 1. They have to have an original marriage certificate or a copy and they need to have a raised seal. I found our OG, it has a seal on it, but it's not raised. It is the certificate that was issued the day we got married and has everybody's signatures on it. Even if I get a copy, it won't have a raised seal. After 44 years, I was lucky to have it. I actually found a certified copy of our marriage license, don't know why we had it, but it doesn't have a raised seal on it either. Oh well, the beat goes on.............................:girldance:

Good morning,

I'm leaving soon to go to Tulsa to this really cool, old bookstore. I'm so anxious to go - it's one of those with the big overstuffed chairs, and they have jewelry and all kinds of cool things and spices and herbs. I'll try to pop back in this evening and give you all a report. The pictures look amazing.

Geeze... I thought I had posted here already... but can't find it! Been busy getting the Art Journaling - Week 3 LO done and uploaded. And I worked on a few other CT LOs yesterday and this morning. Was so glad to get the word that Son-in-law was out of the hospital. Still waiting on info about what the future holds for him. Knowing he had improved let me do some scrapping. Took my BP this morning and it was 109/79 so I skipped my BP meds. The BP has been good all along and I was glad to see it didn't go up due to worry about Son-in-law. I have been re-reading some of my favorite books again.... read 5 of Dee Henderson's already this week and am now reading The Other - #1 - "Written in Red" by Anne Bishop.

Here it is noon and I need to get dressed. Need to pay some bills and have missed the Postman in the neighborhood. So will have to take them to the post office this afternoon.

Well, our floors are done and I feel like we have a brand new house!! Once I get our stuff back in I'll share pictures. There is concrete dust EVERYWHERE. I have to clean every surface, everything that was left out ON those surfaces, the blinds, the window sills, the food in the pantry - I'm forced to do Spring cleaning!!

Any suggestions for the best way to keep laminate clean ? I know we're going to have to vacuum more. I still feel like if I walk to hard on the floor or drop something that I'll damage th floor@ it's supposed to be resistant to scratches from doggy paws, and water resistant. This is the floor we got;

Alexandria Way in Como Color

Off to WalMart. I decided I deserved a new Crock Pot after 27 years!!

That's awesome, Susie - you're going to love your new flooring. Our housekeeper, who also cleans Adrienne's house (she has real wood and I have laminate and tile that looks like wood) uses Mr. Clean

Our housekeeper uses Mr. Clean with Febreeze and it looks gorgeous and talk about smelling good. I keep a small spray bottle filled with a solution to mop up spills and doggy water/paw print messes.
