Welcome to a wonderful Wednesday. It is :rain: here and I hope that the basement doesn't get water. Did I tell you that last week we had almost a foot of water in one area? I haven't heard the sump pump so that is good.

Yesterday, I had such a brain fog day. I have been shopping at the same supermarket for 21 years. No choice since it is the only one in town *wink* And it is small, esp considering some of the other shop Rites I have been too. I also have my regular pattern. I don't skip aisles, so that way I will know where I need to look.
I was so totally "off" that I was looking for cookies in the juice aisle, then coffee in the cereal/oatmeal aisle. When I got home Gary remarked that it was a quick trip and I looked at him dazedly and said that I know I forgot stuff, even though I went by my list, because I didn't know where I was most of the time!

Slowly crossing more stuff off of my long term to do list- Scott's taxes are printed and mailed, Tax Relief paperwork also mailed.
FitBit totally shot, waiting for the CS Team to tell me what to do.

Today, my mom and I are running up to the Christmas Tree Shop. I need a few more photo boxes and Cait needs a new journal and I should be able to find some cheap ones there. I have to fit in blood work/dressing change/IV at some point today too.

I am a broken record :blah: but I have to get this line pulled in 2 weeks or I will lose my s***. You have all heard it before that I am terrified of a major relapse and losing the gains I have made, but I just can't deal anymore. I picked up some grocery nags yesterday and the girl bagged them too heavy for me- and sheesh my arm hurt all day. I am not supposed to life anything heavier than 10lbs with that arm and the bags must have been way more than that.

Have a super day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Dr Seuss!

Today is Dr. Seuss’s Birthday! He was born in 1904, and went on to become the famous writer and cartoonist we all love today. Dr. Seuss wrote and illustrated 44 children’s books containing fun rhymes, wacky plots, and outrageous characters. Some of our favorites are The Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Oh the Places You’ll Go, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and The Lorax.
Dr. Seuss’s books were so popular that he also had multiple TV specials & series, films, and a Broadway musical made after them. Although he was an American writer and cartoonist, his books were loved worldwide and were published in many different languages. Dr. Seuss won numerous awards for his work, such as a Pulitzer Prize, two Academy Awards, two Emmy Awards, and a Peabody Award!
Each year on this day, a special national event called Read Across America is held in his honor. It’s a day for children to celebrate their love of reading! You can celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday by participating in Read Across America with your kids. Read your kids’ favorite books together. You can also celebrate with fun activities like making Cat in the Hat hats or green eggs and ham!

Tuesday:

Kat- OMG!!!! I adore Abraham! Yes, we watch Talking Dead too and I was hysterical with that convo. esp.how Lauren Cohan couldn't even talk she was laughing so hard! And then the tweet- Things TWD has ruined for me: flowers, casseroles, cookies, pancakes. bwuahahah!!!
I am so sorry to hear about your mom's dog:( You might have heard my story about Harley? She had three different kinds of cancer. She had two that were easily removed and had good margins. The last one was in her jaw and spread to her lymph nodes. Vet said to make her comfortable, that she prob wouldn't make it more than a few months.
We started her on mushroom extract which has anti-cancer properties- New Chapter brand, from the local health food store. And we got Ray- she was to be the transition dog. Harley lived another 5 years. The tumor went away, the vet was shocked, and we were thrilled!
(*sighs* My goodness, I miss my baby...)
At any rate- have Mum try the mushroom extract- it can't hurt.
Lots of really good thoughts to your girl too. I know how worried you must be. I know I took it much harder when Harley was dx'd with cancer than I did when I was. ha!

Trudy- awwww how nice that the kids and pupper were so happy to see your son. Do you think your Gary will be the same to see you? :p Have a very safe trip back home. I am sure you will be happy to sleep in your own bed tonight.
I am going to have to gather all of the paperwork on the FitBit and see what steps I have to take next with the warranty.

Rae- hahahah! That is so funny about Ava's squeak! Hope that the weather cooperates for you today and that your work load isn't too much.

Hugs!

Bummer on the FitBit, Chris. Hopefully CS will have a solution for you - one that does NOT involve shelling out the cash for a new one! You've got rain today - we've got 40+ mph winds. Being on the top floor of our building, I'm hearing the wind tear around the place right now. Happy to be inside!

Just finished up a treat for myself: a McD's caramel mocha frappe. I don't "do" coffee, but a frappe every once in a while is love. Yeah, okay, so it's probably fake coffee flavoring or something, but it was a treat. ::: happy tummy :::

good morning - whew I am finally back and operational with my new computer. And wow is it sweet. I had to call apple support to get my photos transferred and OMgosh he was so helpful and it was so easy when he explained how! And it was all because I actually had backuped my hard drive. They have changed iPhoto to Photos so it is more like the iPad photos so that is a bit strange but pretty easy to figure out. I also bit the bullet and upgraded to photoshop CC and Lightroom. There will be a learning curve for sure but I know it will be worth it. I had a Devils game last night and Luther would not go into his crate. He just lay on the floor and I had to laugh as he would not get up. Finally I just left him alone and got ready and he got curious and then he went in. I guess I will have to start testing him again to see if he can be left with out him chewing up something valuable. My Devils were sellers at the trade deadline and so I am sure they will not be winning many more games.

Chris so sorry you had such a daffy day! Hope today goes better.

Kat my son and his girlfriend are avid TWD watchers and they love the after show. So sorry to hear about your mom dog! Hope the biopsy on your dog is a good result!

Trudy have a great trip home! It is too cold there! I am sure your Gary will love having you home!

Rae hope the walk was not in the rain. We are having very strong winds which ended the rain but now the temp is to fall all day and then snow overnight.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Feeling a bit tired this morning. Taz had me up at 3:00 and was outside for what seemed like forever and then finally came back in but was soaked from the heavy downpour. I'll be taking him to the vet next week if he doesn't stop fussing with his butt. It started last week and isn't all the time but at least 10 times a day or more that I notice. That can be a sign of worms so will need to get him checked out if he doesn't stop.

I've got a busy work day today plus the dog walking and then my dental cleaning appt.

Chris - sorry to hear of your struggles yesterday and your arm being sore today.
Trudy - welcome home! Bet it felt good to be in your own bed last night.
Nancy - enjoy the new computer. I'll be getting mine cleaned out and reloaded soon, not looking forward to the reloading part but love when its running at peak performance and faster (until it starts getting clogged up again lol).
Kat - I love coffee drinks, cold or hot. McD's has good coffee now.

Gotta go, ladies. Need to get lots of work done before I head out for dog walking and dentist appt. Have a wonderful day, everyone!

Good morning. I am on day 4 of my "21 days to make it a habit." haha I've walked 3.5-5.0 miles/morning and have totally and significantly changed my diet. For someone who LOVES to cook and eat this is the hardest part of getting healthy for me. I can walk all day, but no more homemade artisan breads??? (ok, I'm getting a grip.) I have recently been diagnosed with diabetes, fatty liver, gallstones, high blood pressure and high triglycerides. I've never had problems with any of these (except gallstones). I really neglected my health last year while helping to take care of my mom, out of state, so I guess I am paying now. I'm having gallbladder surgery and a liver biopsy next week so I'm hoping all goes well with that and I can make this new way of eating fun. I'm an eye eater first. If the food doesn't look festive, bold and fun its hard for me to eat so I need to play around with my new healthy recipes. So if you know of recipes that are low in cholesterol, carbohydrates, sodium, triglycerides, sugar...please pass them along. :hungry::cof3:
I hope all you ladies get all your activities done without difficulties today and have a mah'velous day! I wish I had known about the mushroom extract when my boy doxies were diagnosed with cancer. Good to know for future if I ever get another fur baby.

Have to pop in to say I'll be back eventually, but we are without Internet at home since the weekend. I'm at the library now, so can't stay long. Our modem died and we're waiting for a new one, maybe today?? Hoping!
