Oh my goodness!!! This place is **hopping** like a mad rabbit today! I just went through the pages of new threads since I went to bed last night and now- look at the time. I am running quite late.

How is my amazing o-fam today? Hope that you are having a great time at the party. It has been great seeing so many new faces in the forums so if any of you are reading this, feel free to join in!! No one bites., I promise

I was up again at 3am..... took melatonin immediately and then feel sort of asleep again. i wrecked my stomach with too much advil this past week so I think that had a part to play- the pain kept bothering me. The upside of that is that my joints weren't hurting to badly hehe!!!

Today I am off to a client who is away on vacation.The last time I cleaned for her when she was away I had the hardest time getting out of her house. The garage door code wasn't working right so I tried to use the close button by the basement door and run under the garage door as it was closing. They have a sensor on it so it didn;t work. I tried everything for a half hour and then the code FINALLY worked. Hope I get it right this time, she says to wait fora ll of the lights to stop flashing, that it likes to act wonky. OTOH, if anyone wants to come and watch me try to escape from the house for a while, it might be somewhat amusing LOL

Good Morning O fam- workout done- feeling the energy- much to do today and I am going to miss this party because I have work, have to pick up the backsplash after work and go to a bowling and pizza party after work to celebrate 10 years of working where I work. So tomorrow I will really plan on partying out in the pm after my early am dr appt. I guess next year I will just have to take the bday week off so I can party hearty!!

Good morning ladies. Sorry I have been so absent. Really, really sorry. Because I would sure rather party with you guys than deal with soccer club messes and fight casinos next door to the school. For those who like casinos, I already have two casinos within 45 minutes of my home...don't need one next door!

I need to go back through the personals...hope to do that tonight. Maybe I should just take the phone off the hook when I get home. And how many of you remember when that is literally what you did if you didn't want calls?

LSlycord (Linda, I think?) Sorry about the casino mess, I can relate a bit. Luckily most of our casinos have to be on reservations and they are located geographically removed from us. We do have lots of video casino machines in many of the bars etc tho. Good luck

Linda, i hope you all win against that stupid casino. i think we've gone insane. who started this idea that CASINOS were the way to save state governments from default? i guess nowadays, in order not to get phone calls, you have to disable your answering machine or disable your voicemail. nothing is simple anymore. that's for sure.

LindaPete, there are days that i would rather see MUD than snow and slush and gray skies!! i heard a radio story the other day when a lady in Vermont said that it wasn't winter anymore there. it was Mud Season!

Laurie, sounds like the work situation has improved since the departure of the goofy manager. hopefully the new owners will keep the people who deserve to be kept on. that will be YOU!

wow, did i waste yesterday. i DID, however, get my peppermill and a few really basic spring tops. does anyone else have trouble picking out clothes? i always go shopping with hopes that i will buy something new and DIFFERENT, and i always end up looking like Land's End and LL Bean. always.

today it's the ironing that i didn't do yesterday. that should take some time. i wish i had some MOJO for the challenges. but nobody's home in the "creative" area of my brain. :hurt:

Tracy-- Sadly, Phylis is right..... between Nana, Phyllis, Linda S and myself- almost always one of us has a case of crazy insomnia. We share that insomnia equally but we dont like it to spread to the kids.

Sally-- you and Petra- a trough of coffee, I like that!! Its probably easier and faster then the coffee IV!!!

For anyone who wants a visual of me trying to escape the garage door last time, think of a total klutz trying to be fast and fly through a cluttered garage and dive under a rapidly closing garage door. And then trying to hop "over" the sensor line. It was amazing that I didn't break my neck!!

Good morning all! I finally made it back to the yarn store and bought enough to make a lap blanket out of cotton yarn so that when I power nap in the spring and summer I can still have a light cover! It is a beautiful lacey pattern. Makes me feel better to be knitting while watching hockey on TV rather than just watching. And the other good news is my youngest started had his first day of work since being laid off. He so wants to be in music but it is so hard to break into especially with no contacts so he will be a valet parking attendant. This way he can still work on music but will not be living totally off his parents.
I feel it will be good for his confidence to just be making his own money again. I am happy! I also saw this gorgeous camera bags from Epiphanie that look more like a purse than a camera bag. They were having a sale at Adorama so I ordered it. OMgosh it is even prettier than I had hoped and it is my favorite color red! Should be perfect for my trip to Paris this summer. So yesterday was a great day. Thanks for letting me share! Tonight the Devils play the Flyers! Need my best players to be at their best!

Chris I too want a video of you escaping the garage!

Phylis my mom made us iron as kids and I just always saw it as punishment - especially as we lived in AZ and it in the summer is was just too hot to have to iron. Saw your Penguins make a great comeback against the Bruins. Though I think Trudy is a Bruins fan and may not have seen this a good thing.

Morning everyone!! Slept in til 6:30...Wooot!! Now I get to spend the whole morning here before dragging out the vacuum and the dusting cloth :mmph: I need you Chris!! I hate to dust!!

Laurie - Too bad that our work gets in the way of party time at the"O"!! I think that it should become a National Holiday and then we could all get the week off!!! LOL

I agree you should just unplug the phone or whatever you need to do to get some peace and quiet for a bit! :hug:

LindaPete - Ugghhh on the snow storm!! Enough with the snow already!! We do not have that problem, but we are in for another Pineapple Express this week, lots of warm weather filled with tons of rain!! But at least I don't have to shovel the rain :rain: Its starting already as the wind is picking up and all my outdoor sensor lights are coming on and off.

Yes I watched the game last night, could not believe it when we were up by three goals and they just gave the game away!!! Grrrrrrr!! Morning everyone!! I've had one cup of java and then walked into my craft studio and started playing with my fabrics (moving them around, refolding them!! not using them! LOL!!) and now I have a million things I want to make!! eeeek!! I'm going to try, try, try to have some finishes today! I have a big project that a fabric manufacturing company asked me to do for them in a very short amount of time, but I'm still waiting on the instructions...have to be a bit secretive about it, but suffice it to say, it is darling!! So in the meantime, I'm getting myself into so much trouble coming up with new quilt ideas! yikes!!!

okay, I'm going to carve out some fun play time at the party today! I had soooooo much fun at the speed scrap yesterday! And I love my page (and everyone else's, too!!)! I need to get on this memory keeping! It's awesome!!! teeeheeeee!!!

Why doesn't anything ever work out the way it should?? I wanted to spend the day scrapping, instead I am trying to figure out how to fix my new CS6 photoshop program, the thumbnails are all fuzzy and when I save a page to my external hardrive there isn't a picture there at all and yet I can open it and its fine???? I have no clue whats going on but I want to be able to see the kits that I am trying to open!! :rant: I just wanna scrap!!!!

Evening my O fam! I managed to get through work, pick up the back splash, and enjoyed time at the bowling alley/game place. I bowled- think I got 70, played skeebowl and earned a whopping 54 points. I also used a crane and won a nubby ball. Best of all, I had fun. So now what to do with the rest of the evening- relax I think.
