It seems to be running better now. I checked some other websites (Pinterest! OMG I can lose myself in there!), so at least I know it wasn't my computer.

I tried to get my food shopping done - doing the online route this time, since I need so many heavy things- and no one is giving me any suggestions for dinners.*grumble*
I have to get that done today or we are going to be eating some frozen veggies and ice cream that went all crystally for dinner.

I know I ramble on about my kids all of the time, and Jaida is one of my kids now. You all will be hearing lots of Jaida stories too. She and Ray are hysterical together. I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. I know that I have said this before, but when we got Ray, she was never alone, she had been rescues along with her sister, then she had Harley with her until Harley died. The last several years she has been in such a funk, with the first year after Harley dying, she was literally depressed- wouldn't eat/play/interact. We were really worried about her.
But since w got Jaida, she is like a different dog. She looks for her to play with, and will drag a toy over to her so they can tug. Yesterday, I took a picture of the two of them sleeping. Jaida was "spooning" with ray and her head was on Rays front paws. I had to text a picture to Cait b/c I knew it would make her smile.

More rain coming into today- I don't even mind the rain as much as how darn cold it is! I could not get warm at all yesterday. I had on three layers of clothes and fuzzy socks and a hat. I was so happy that I didn't have to do an IV becasue that would have been brutal. *shivers*

I did scrap a page- Rita of Blue Flower Art has a typography challenge up and I had fun playing with that.

So that is about it from me, happy happy wednesday!

*fingers crossed that this posts for me*

Hi Astrid! Seems like the site is ok now.
I had to laugh at your description of your hubby and redecorating LOL I love to paint and Gary is an absolute mess with it, so that is all on me. I think he did that on purpose when we first moved here, so he didn't have to paint anymore. Men! hahahah!!!
I hope that you get some time to relax and enjoy the weather and your days off.

Nancy- totally jealous of your iWatch! Sounds really cool! Of course, I would have to set mine (in my fantasy world) to make sure I take Jaida outside every hour.;)
All i can say about this rain is that we haven't had as much as other areas, and as of yesterday, the basement is dry. But if it still rains more today, I would imagine we will get water. :(
We get the Bergen Record up here, and it is so useless. I only subscribe for the coupons but I find that I can get a lot of them online, so I will not be renewing mine either.

I really want Outlander to get on Netflix!!!!! You ladies are killing me!!!! :D

Sharon- it is pretty darn pathetic the hoops ya gotta jump through if you want to do things the right way. Totally loved your ATC cards.
My first reaction to your comment on the Sylph was to get mad at you again. I remember when you first started hanging in the Ooos you had said something about being fat and I yelled at you. Glad that you are not seriosuly comparing yourself, and what a wonderful accomlishment to keep on swimming. *insert Dorie image*

Trudy- ack, I am out of time, but I am sending hugs.

late for the bus......

Good morning - I got grocery shopping done and I made curry chicken salad for dinner. OMgosh it was awesome. It was spicy too and the boys went for seconds which I feel is a good sign for making it again. It will be perfect for summer when I need something cold. Then I came home and spent time watching the media interview the Blackhawks and the Lightning players. It was fun but and I don't know whether this is good or really a sad comment on my life but I could watch the TV and the computer and the computer had 4 different players talking and I could pick. It was fun. The most amazing and while I knew Jonathan Toews could speak French to hear him talk in French as fluently as he does in English was pretty impressive. Tonight is the first game so I am excited about that. It rained softly or it was a heavy mist but I walked anyway. It was cool and it was cool in a good way to be out. It seems to be much brighter today so that is a good sign. So a good walk today is in order. And I should get scrapping.

Chris the iWatch has an app called activity that taps you every hour so that you move. So it would do that for you and Jaida. So glad that the dogs are playing so well together. That has to be fun to watch.

Sharon I think it is awesome how you do all the challenges. I find just scrapping my vacations a challenge so I am impressed. I will look for your ATC cards as I think that is a fun challenge. Hope you had an awesome lunch with your girlfriend.

Astrid enjoy the days off and hope you have awesome weather. Good luck on your projects.

Trudy I had no idea just how wonderful skype is. I am not sure if my son uses that or FaceTime but which ever he and his girlfriend are on it morning and night. This is one of those inventions that I remember as kid the scientist said would happen and it did.

Everyone have a great day!

Chris, I hear ya about suggestions for dinner. I don't mind cooking...even shopping and cleaning up. But the idea/decision-making! =:O DH has been a help with that since he's been retired. And he does almost all the shopping, and a lot of the clean-up. No wonder I have time to do scrap challenges! LOL

The dogs sound so cute together. I am really happy for Ray. Some "people" just need "people," as Barbra Streisand sang.

Fun time with Debbie yesterday. She and her DH were just down in SE Washington, what's known as The Palouse. Her description of the spring/early summer greens was so engaging that I have talked Dave into leaving for Utah a day early and spending parts of two days there. We did that coming home last fall, but most of harvest was done. It is just spectacular both seasons. Take a peek: https://www.google.com/search?q=the...v&sa=X&ei=2BBvVYWCEYrQtQXVk4OgCw&ved=0CDEQsAQ

I am leaving the DSLR at home again, and just taking my iPhone.

Astrid, enjoy your sunshine and holidays.

Nancy, that curry chicken salad sounds awesome. We LOVE curry...eat a lot of Indian. During the summer we eat a lot of salads. Thanks for the idea.

Wonderful morning ahead for me: Wednesday With Clara! WOOT! Can't wait.

Morning ladies... running very far behind today, I actually slept until 8am!!! That never happens! I had a wonderful nights sleep and I think it was because it was so nice and cool in our house. Cloudy and grey here again today. Is it grey or gray?? I have always used the English form of spelling grey, do they spell it differently in the States? :noidea: Anyway I guess it really does not matter. I have been on Skype with DD and Mason for the last hour, he is so cute now and has been such a happy little boy lately, we sit on the floor together (laptop on the floor) and he builds towers with his blocks or cups and we count and say the colours, he does not say much just points and grunts LOL. But we are trying to get him to say things. Guess he will when he is ready. Anyway it gives mom a break for a bit until he is ready for his nap time. I can't wait until they are here and I can let my poor daughter have a rest!

Chris - Funny that the site was slow today? Perhaps it is the upgrade that they are hoping to get done soon? Hope the weather warms up for you in the next couple of days, DD is having nice warm sunny weather today, funny that you are not. You are really not that far away from each other. I wonder if Outlander will be on Netflix very soon as the second season will be coming up, perhaps they will release the first one to other networks? So cute that your fur babies are getting along so well!!

Astrid - Lucky you all those days off to enjoy!!

Nancy - That curried salad sounds scrumptious!! I like Indian food but hubby not so much, I keep trying to convince him that we should visit a local Indian restaurant called the Royal Dar, but he is always making excuses not to go :mmph: The reviews are great, but it is a bit overpriced. Still I would love to try it one day! Glad that your son is keeping in touch with his girl through Skype/Facebook, we use both and yes I remember when we thought that something like that would not happen in our lifetime. So exciting to see how we have progressed with technology! Now if they could just get the technology to beam me up to visit my kids and grandkids :becky: Enjoy the hockey tonight!!

Sharon - Thanks for the link!! Those photos are all amazing!! Beautiful rolling hills there and some places look much like Sask. very nice at harvest and in the spring, but man they can keep their winters!! :becky: Looking forward to seeing your iPhone photos of your trip! Have fun with Clara today!! You probably have your swim all over and done with already, I am just heading there now. Enjoy the day!!

Ok off to change and get to the pool, later I hope to start to do the challenges here, finally, I have not had anytime to spend on them lately  See you later!!
