Waking up to another rainy day. It's OK, my plants are happy and my well has water. My hair holding loads of water too. I put it in a braid yesterday and it was frizzing inside the braid. It is so bad! I didn't get a lot yesterday. I went food shopping, spent more money than I wanted too I did some laundry and stuff. And... *drum roll* I scrapped a page in the afternoon. :whoo: I used some of the photos from the Animal Sanctuary and I like how it came out. I get so aggravated at how much time I spend searching in the Shop though. I get a style or color palette in my head and then struggle to find what I am looking for.
Do any of you have tips on how to best search in the shop?

I called my mom to see how she did at the orthopedist appt she had yesterday morning. I will say this very quietly and never to her face but I think it is easier for her to *not* go to Drs. She gets herself so worked up and it consumes her. The Dr basically told her everything that I had said. Don't worry about the baker's cysts, the arthritis is normal, they will try anti-inflammatories but can try PT, cortisone shots, and so on if they don't help. She doesn't speak "medical" as good as I do either .:pound:

Not much for me to do around here this morning. I have to leave a little after lunch for my Drs appt. It is the PT Evaluation (finally!) and I hope that they can figure out what to do. My R knee has been hurting a lot and worry that it is Lyme and not from the ankle issues so hopefully this will help sort that out.
I might run over to TJ MAXX this morning to look for gifts for my brother and Arlene. I am not sure when/if I am cleaning for my friend, he was in the hospital and only got home yesterday so I am not sure what other days I will have free.

Think sunny thoughts for us on the east coast!
hugs!

Kay- that is good news about your throat being better. I think everyone needs time to be lazy and let their bodies recuperate. Life is so stressful and that takes a toll.
Good luck with rearranging and reorganizing your books when you do that.

Nancy- same here, no T-storms but lots of rain. How fun that you have a Pool Party with the other PT people. That must make it so much nicer.
I hope that the new Outlander is out by the end of the year, I want to know what happens!

Trudy- We have been cool/cold at night still too but humid as all heck. I am happy to not have to run the AC. Oh no! That stinks about the resin! Darn bubbles. Do you have to redo the entire piece or just the part that bubbled? That is super nice of your brother, did you have a nice visit or did you grab the resin and run? :D

Jean- I was going to say that I was sorry that you didn't get into the studio, but the reason why you didn't is great!! I can't imagine how cool it must be to find a thread, pull it and bit and see where it leads you.
Happy birthday to your DH!
I loved Garfield when I was a kid/teen. (And Calvin and Hobbes. Calvin is my kind of kid, in fact, I see a bit of Scott in Calvin LOL)
I was really lucky that Gary came home from work not long after I got stuck on the counter. He had to get me down. I laugh now, but what was I thinking??

Anyway, better get going- HAGD!

Morning ladies!! No hike for me today, there was a choice of two hikes, one I have done many, many times ,is a long way from here and is very short. The other is quite a distance away and a very hard one. It is too hot to do that kind of a hike and the price of gas is ridiculous here so I am not going to waste my time and money on either one. Besides I have to re-resin the painting and have another one to do also. So my morning will be spent doing that instead. I also have to hand water all the plants in the front of the house and the hanging baskets. We are level two water restrictions so we are only allowed to water by hand now. :mmph: Hurry up and rain please!! I really need to clean the car, so I have to check if we are allowed to wash vehicles anymore. I am still struggling with the page I started days ago. I think I need to just start from scratch again and perhaps something better will develop from that?? I am feeling a bit grumpy today, not sure why?? It can't be because of the depressing weather, because it has been gloriously sunny here. So strange for June on the West Coast. Perhaps my second cup of coffee will kick start my brain a bit more and put in a happy place? Anyone care to join me this morning for another cup?? :tea: Waaaaa no more coffee smileys :mmph:

Chris - I hope that your humidity gets a bit better, my hair would be frizzy as all get out if it was humid here! I don't know how you can stand the humidity, but I guess there isn't much you can do about it is there? I always end up spending far too much $ at the grocery store too, but we have to eat don't we! Yes I have to resin the entire painting again, but its ok all the the imperfections should disappear when I do. Keep your fingers crossed for me that this time it will turn out perfect. I struggle with finding things that I want in the shop too, but if I have a colour palette in mind then I usually search by what colours I want to use. Then there is the hard part of choosing which one of the many kits to use when you find the colours you want LOL. I did have a nice visit with my brother and SIL and they stayed and had a cup of coffee with me and we chatted a lot and talked about when the kids come home and hopefully ours and theirs will be able to get together this summer! Sure hope that your appt for the PT evaluation goes well and that the pain in your knee is not Lyme related!! Sending you some of our warm and sunny weather, it would be nice if you could return me some rain!!

Jean - How fascinating to find a missing piece of family history!! Happy Birthday to your main squeeze!! I hope he has a great day! How fun to share a Birthday with Garfield!

Ok I am in need of that second cup of coffee and pretty sure Heather and Hunter will be calling soon, no facetime with them yesterday as Mason had a fun day at school and they all attended that. I will hear all about it I bet. I hope you all have a great day!

I worked on my new collage yesterday and want to get back to that. It is a little larger and we'll see how it goes. Yesterday's weather stayed nice for a change. So far today is partly sunny. We're not going anywhere fancy for dinner, but one that we only visit once in a while. DH thanks you for the birthday wishes! I think he liked the card.

Chris, good wishes for the PT eval. Sure hope the knee pain is something else. I know PT can be such a great way to feel better. I liked what you did with the sanctuary photos. I have no tips on finding stuff in the shop. I just rummage around on my EHD, often forgetting stuff I have.

Trudy, we bet car washing is probably out if you have to hand water. Boy do we wish we could trade some of our abundance of rain for some of your dry days. Our forecast has isolated showers every day. Probably nice to do the resin on two works at once today. We look forward to seeing them soon. Hope the satisfaction from that makes up for no hike.

HAGD everyone.

Morning, gals. Yes, I am feeling much better today! So glad to wake up without a sore throat! I was busy on the computer yesterday scrapping and uploading some LOs. Finished the last of the uploads this morning. I love it when the creative muse is working... and it was in full swing the past several days.

Chris, when I have photos that I want to scrap, I usually do a search for color or theme. That usually brings up several choices. If that doesn't work, I will go look a designer's shop hoping that will do it. Sometimes I just browse through the new releases too. And.. last I also do a search on my own digi-stash for words. Since the kits I have don't usually have colors attached to element/paper names I can't search that way. Good luck on finding what you need. And congrats on getting a LO done!!! Hope that the PT eval has some suggestions for your knee.

Trudy, so sorry that you had to re-do the resin and hope the next coat goes on smoothly. Don't blame you for skipping the hikes today... no point in wasting gas to drive so far.

Jean, how exciting for you to find more relatives. That is always an exciting discovery!

Been waking up to cool temps - in low 60's so have been opening the house up as soon as I get up to cool the house down. It was 78 inside and 63 outside. Just checked and it was 73 both inside and outside so closed it up again. That usually does it so the A/C doesn't have to run all day even when it gets up into the high 80's. The next couple of days will hit into the 90's so may have the A/C running then.

Time to hop into the shower and get dressed. Have a great day.

Good morning, ladies. Wanted to pop in and see how everyone is doing. I can only go so long without checking in b/c I feel like you are all my family and I have to keep up with what's going on :)

I've been floating around different sites, using different kits and doing challenges. Its been fun to get back into scrapping more again. Not as much as I used to but more than last year. We have found a balance now with our lives and Bailey so things are more settled now. She should be there for the next 6-12 months and then we find out where the next placement will be. It's a good care home so we're grateful for this.

Chris - hope you get started on the PT soon. A food question....do you use dairy? I find my joints ache more when I consume dairy. I've tried re-introducing it numerous times and can get away with one meal with cheese or a few coffees with milk but more than that, I start getting mild headaches and joint pain. Something to thing about....trying to reduce the inflammatory foods in your diet and see if that helps at all.

Trudy - I agree, we've had great weather lately. Yes, gas prices are crazy. It is costing us a fortune going back and forth to the trailer (we've started going Friday and coming back Sun morning so we can spent Sunday afternoons with B).

Kay, Jean, Felis....everyone....hope all is well. I'm getting back to work for a bit before I wash the kitchen floor (while Taz is at daycare) but then he'll come home and dirty it up again LOL.

GOOd morning my lOvelies!
I missed you so much! But if you ask me what I am doing past couple of days, honestly I don't know?! The boss called to ask me could I take additional work, because many people are on vacation or seasonal work. And I just can't said 'no', because she gives me this chance when I'm asked, so now I have to return the gesture. The extra money will be good, but in this hotness, the extra work takes whole my energy.
I also was in one of these very destructive moods, when spy exes (lovers, co-students, coworkers) and compare my life with their :smash: . Everything started when one of my mom's aunts, which live in our town but we aren't close with, come to one of our yards parties, for first time from about 10 years. Her DIL was my best friend and the prime school, and we start to compare then and now, (and I know how hypocrisy is this, because in private conversation she is shared to my mom that she almost hate her DIL), but now she had this pleasure to win this little life style competition between us. I was feeling really awful because of my parents, but fortunately they have my sister too and no one can beat women like her (OK maybe with except of our friend which is doctor and save lifes, but for her personal life have nasty rumors, so actually my sister won). The irony is that I'm free and more happier than in last 5 year, I live exactly as I dreamed about, but my way of living is unusual and the others underpriced me, which pissed me off! I was excellent student and volunteer in different companies, was the golden girl, as they said: beautiful (sort of), successful, arrogant, perspective; but now I can't win any life competition. And to rub salt into the wound the new summer hit of my favorite singer is exactly about how his exe will sorry, because now he is his best version (which is true)!
Add this to the hot weather, and you can see why I was feeling really trashy! :ballchain::peep:

Chris, your page is lovely! I love these handsome girls! Cows are cute! Sorry, no good ideas from me, because I scrap at the opposite way, first start with kit which gives me ideas and then just found photo which to match to it. Hope that your knee pain isn't from something serious, but just from overload!

Rae, so happy to see you every time when pop up! Sound nice, and I can't wait to hear for one calm summer with fun stories from the trailer and Taz!

Kay, love your pages they are always beautiful and mindful! Oh, I know what you mean, we try to not use often your AC now, and this needs many open and close of different windows during the day.

Jean, best wishes for his birthday from me too! Have fun at the diner! And about the new collage project, you know what they said: 'bigger is better' :) .

Trudy, I'm sorry for the missed hikes, but your arguments sounds reasonable! Have fun painting!

Nancy, hope the weather is better! And also hope that you'll left satisfied from the new team, I remember you wasn't like some of the transfers previous year, hope now to be better!

Hmm, do you know what I was wondering about: Previous time, when I was stay offline for awhile I always found some interesting people as Karen, Sharon and Zanthia was join to you, and I had sort of wondering what they do too?!
