You can tell it is summer and everyone is busy. It has been very quiet in here! I hope that everyone is able to be out and about and do fun things.
As I reread my post from yesterday, I see that I reminded myself to put new batteries in my mouse. Guess what I didn't do?
Yesterday was a *day.* Yikes. All good plans and all that... PT was rough. I know that he is pushing me but I really felt it yesterday. It is fine now, but it ached a lot. Wandering around the warehouse didn't help it either I am sure. On my way home I drove past the dog park and there wasn't anyone there so I asked Cait is she wanted to take J and W with me. As we were getting their leashes on, Ray came limping in and was really in a lot of pain. She couldn't even lie down comfortably. I called the vet and they couldn't get me in until 4.30 pm but I was glad to get an appt at all. They were going to call if there was an earlier cancellation which was wonderful, but it meant that I couldn't go anywhere in case they did call.
We don't know what is wrong with her - they did blood work and it wasn't Lyme (how *insane* is it that they can do blood work on a *dog* and figure out if it is Lyme in 20 minutes and for a human it is so darn complicated. And dogs can get preventatives and vaccines? Argh!!). The vet thinks it is most likely old age and arthritis. She is on Rimadyl for two weeks but if she doesn't improve in one week, we should take her back for x-rays or more tests.
And as any parent or pet owner understands, by the time we took her to the vet, she was walking fine. I felt like the biggest liar begging them for an earlier appt.
Today I am off to clean and pay bills. One of Cait's best friends is coming for dinner. It was cute, I was saying to Caitlyn that I missed Ashley since I haven't seen her in a long time. Cait texts her to say that, she texts back that she misses me too and then viola! A dinner invite!
Wishing everyone a very lovely day!
