You can tell it is summer and everyone is busy. It has been very quiet in here! I hope that everyone is able to be out and about and do fun things.

As I reread my post from yesterday, I see that I reminded myself to put new batteries in my mouse. Guess what I didn't do?
Yesterday was a *day.* Yikes. All good plans and all that... PT was rough. I know that he is pushing me but I really felt it yesterday. It is fine now, but it ached a lot. Wandering around the warehouse didn't help it either I am sure. On my way home I drove past the dog park and there wasn't anyone there so I asked Cait is she wanted to take J and W with me. As we were getting their leashes on, Ray came limping in and was really in a lot of pain. She couldn't even lie down comfortably. I called the vet and they couldn't get me in until 4.30 pm but I was glad to get an appt at all. They were going to call if there was an earlier cancellation which was wonderful, but it meant that I couldn't go anywhere in case they did call.

We don't know what is wrong with her - they did blood work and it wasn't Lyme (how *insane* is it that they can do blood work on a *dog* and figure out if it is Lyme in 20 minutes and for a human it is so darn complicated. And dogs can get preventatives and vaccines? Argh!!). The vet thinks it is most likely old age and arthritis. She is on Rimadyl for two weeks but if she doesn't improve in one week, we should take her back for x-rays or more tests.

And as any parent or pet owner understands, by the time we took her to the vet, she was walking fine. I felt like the biggest liar begging them for an earlier appt.

Today I am off to clean and pay bills. One of Cait's best friends is coming for dinner. It was cute, I was saying to Caitlyn that I missed Ashley since I haven't seen her in a long time. Cait texts her to say that, she texts back that she misses me too and then viola! A dinner invite! :)

Wishing everyone a very lovely day!

Felis- Boring week here for me too, aside from the stress over Ray. I am still working on the LO from several days ago. I can only do little bits at a time so I can understand how you feel too.
My family all came from Italy. Gary's family is Irish/Scottish but they mostly came to America in the 18th century and spread west. Mine is clustered mainly in the New York and New Jersey area not too far from where they came through at Ellis Island. I agree, the play actors change, but the anti-immigration sentiment stays the same. Irish, Italian, Chinese, now Latino. I get so aggravated because unless you are indigenous to America, you are an immigrant. Not counting if you were brought as a slave. That is not immigration. :(
Anyway. There is my angry rant of the day!
Gary put the trellis up and it looks really good, and I think there are some cucumbers ready to be picked. That is happy news!

Jean- yesterday was a really beautiful day here, no need for the AC at all. I hope that continues for you too, especially on Friday. Enjoy your meeting today and class tomorrow.
I really am seeing a huge difference in the strength of my ankle. When I would stand barefoot even just two weeks ago, my ankle would roll right in. Now it is much more stable. Even doing the balancing is a bit easier.
Ugh, that darn puzzle!!!!!!!!! I am giving myself until Sunday to finish as much as I can. I get a few more pieces in, think I am on a roll, and then --nothing. I am about 3/4 finished and I don't think I am going to get more than that. So Sunday I will take a photo of what I accomplished and pack it away. I feel terrible too- Cait spent so much money on it, thinking that it was a great family souvenir. She is fine with me giving up on it. In fact, she wants me to pack it away so we can start a new one LOL

Hugs to all of you!xoxo

Hello girls,
after my last post here I get a little bit ashamed and really try to do more scrap stuffs. Of course I'm not read carefully enough the challenge rules and messed it up again. Typically me :ban: . I just can't redo something I'm happy with so to fit to others taste! Hope the message that I'm not collecting points to save us another argue with the Cherry Os. I still feel very strongly the insult from the previous year. And have to repeat myself that this (probably) wasn't personal, and for some cultures to follow rules is so important as for mine is to break them. However! I can't believe I still cycle at this poison!
Flicking through all the garden photos I'm take last months and its took me whole morning to prepare them for save on the external disk. As I have only our cell phones poor cameras I have to do few shots on the same flower from different distance on a same place. As often what looks good on a phone screen is awful on a computer. So I had to delete a lot of trashy photos. I'm exhausted!
And I'm pretty sure that I'm said these things few times before! You see what I mean for nothing new to share, so better to concentrate on personal notes.

Chris, what you described for Ray sounds me much as age and hotness, this is one of my reason to hate Summer, it's looks like hot weather aggrandize all sickness my pets have. Hope they will figure out what is wrong and can relief her fast! Sending her hugs and good vibes! L O L yes it's happened too often, I guess it's something like adrenaline rush but cats act normal at the vet cabinet (or get to aggressive), so I have to swear that yes exactly this cat was apathetic/limp/weak. Don't worry at all, it's a vet rule to observe what symptoms is saw the owner.
How cute and nice Cait's best friends to rearrange her schedule and come for diner! I'm happy to hear that you build your strength at the ankle again! Scott and Gary have Irish facial features in them, I'm notice this on your layouts. How bad that you aren't able to speak Italian, I just found this language because of the music, and its sounds very attractive! Oh, and I have long love with the Italian food! :D

Jean, enjoy your meeting and class! I'm seeing the Haps pages a little bit later almost every time, as I often let the O's letter for later when have more time, and then forgot. Oh, I'm a typical cat (felis :) ) I'm happiest when 5 of 7 of my days are similar or even the same. I find myself more comfortable in repeating habits. But this is why many days I can just copy and paste my posts here. I have these flowers similar to your Lilies which I want to scrap too, they are on my list and I have literally 10 ideas for layouts written on one note page, just can't find when to scrap as I need quiet time, and usually till it comes I'm going too lazy. I'm honestly impressed by Nancy, which can scrap till watch TV! I can read, scrap and even knit only in quiet, lonely environment, with music and without family distraction. And as our house is really small (it's could count as apartment) this isn't easy. Especially now when all windows and doors are left opened so air to circulate and not be so hot. It must be nice to have your own cabinet, even if it's going hot there ;) . Hmm, did you have music room then?! I mean it sounds fair if you have art cabinet to have a music room too. :drum: . How sweet is this that you are art family!!!
Hope your weather to stay nice and good for the art festival!

Another gorgeous day here but it's warming up. We may have a visitor at the genealogy group from the library who gives classes there. It'll be interesting if she comes.

Chris, good to hear the ankle is getting stronger and balance improved. Hope Ray does well with the med. Too bad you couldn't get out with the other two though. How nice Cait's friend is coming to dinner. Sorry the puzzle is so hard but you can only do what's possible. I have quit on a couple over time, so know what it's like.

Felis, your LO is really lovely (assume that's your lovely sister?) and it does have blue in it though not the paper - and you made it clear you did not have it there and aren't "competing". Hope you don't have another upset with it. That would just not be good. About a "music" room, DH uses our upstairs back porch (that we call the tree house) as a music room except when it gets too cold in the winter as the room isn't heated. Hope you find some quiet times for your pursuits.
