I just said in the June Posting Challenge thread that my wall calender still is on May. How can June fly by so fast? And I am waiting for summer weather to get here.

We had some crazy-loud thunderstorms here last night, I am surprised that the dogs slept through them. In fact, it is 6.30 and they are both still sleeping (shhhhh, trying to type quietly)

Yes, the chiro went well. I hurt a lot today, not sure if it is from that or the wacky weather, or the Tindamax. Probably all 3- and then some other stuff mixed in. Her DD had her gallbladder out from an unknown infection (ha!) and the surgeon saw that her appendix was diseased as well. Since she got them both out, she is slowly getting better. It is insane how the bacteria find a susceptible spot and just make a mess of it all. As someone who works with both herbal/homeopathic remedies as well as more traditional medical one, she suggested some supplements for immune support. That will be so helpful for all of us.
I really like and appreciate that she totally gets what I am dealing with on a medical and personal basis. It is all connected and I know that I have neglected the non-trad healing capabilities that I have myself (Reiki and aromatherapy) so maybe this will be a good kick in the butt.

Last year Cait and I participated in a Wellness Program and we are doing it again this year. IIRC, tomorrow morning is a walk/yoga/meditation session at the Botanical Gardens. It is at 7.30 am and I think it will be a great start to my day.

Today is food shopping and posting July Scrap Challenges! Guess which one I like better?

Again, I grumble and groan that I have *no* dinner ideas from my family and I am so unimpressed by the thought of eating...

Have a wonderful day!!!

nancy- your walk sounds wonderful! All of that wildlife!!
When I get stuck needing one more page for a book, I make it a "Additional Notes here"-- lined notebook type paper, with a matching themed/colored one as an overlay. Then you can write in additonal comments, memories etc from your trip.
hahah!! Seriously, I think in my next life I want to be a porcupine- then I can poke other people instead of me being the one jabbed all of the time!

Trudy- oh no- I can't believe that you are still in that heat wave How awful.:(
Happy Canada Day!! :canada: Have a great time with the IL's and cooling off by the lake. I cannot wait to see the finished Mud Kitchen!!!!! Pictures, Lady!!! I need pictures!

Sharon- as a Cheery-O it is hard posting LOs too- some sites that have open galleries, like DST, I don't get a look at all. If I do, it is "great page"
whoopie. LOL
Here, I know that I try as best as I can to comment on 5 LO's day although that sometimes doesn't happen. It is hard to not get bothered by it all and I have to remind myself that this is about *my* art, *my* memories. Not easy, right? But it sounds like you do it well.
WTG on getting back into laps. You will get your stamina and rhythm back soon!

Good morning - we had a huge thunderstorm go through around 4:30 am. Had to get up and shut windows it was raining so hard. Now I am tired - I went back to sleep but that getting up just kinda mucks up the sleep. Yesterday was one of the wonderfully productive days. Got bills paid and walked to post office to mail them off so that was good exercise and bills paid. Got lots of laundry done. Got in a great bike ride. Made the extra page for the Shutterfly book and like it a lot. So the book is order and sent to my birding partner. Watched NHL channel to listen to them give their opinions on the latest trades, free agency and trades. Well the Blackhawks traded one of their younger superstars Brandon Saad to the Blue Jackets. Irritating as the Blue Jackets are in my division and this makes them a really strong team. Now today I will watch the NHL channel which is basically TSN from Canada on Free Agent Frenzy. I love this stuff LOL. Then it was a joy to watch the US women's soccer team defeat Germany to make it to the finals. Calls went their way but they were the better team. One of the German girls missed a penalty kick which are pretty much a given and that really changed the game. So it was a great day. Now I can pretty much do what I want. I need to get back to scrapping again. With it being so wet I will probably just walk.

Chris yes those were some storms we got this am. So glad the chiro appt went so well. Good to make a positive connection with the doctor. Cant believe it is July 1 either! I totally agree with you and Trudy deciding on what to have for dinner is the pits. Good luck with that.

Trudy so the heat is back. I don't want it that hot but I do love not having to wear coats or gloves and hats. My Disney trip won't be until Jan 2016 and I doubt it will be hot at all. My next trip is coming in the fall when we will be heading to Zion and Yellowstone. There will be a lot of walking there. Happy Canada Day!

Sharon sorry you are having such heat too! I am sure you will get back your stamina in the pool very fast! It is amazing how active little ones can be. And as much as you realize you can't do it long term it is sad when you are home with too much quiet. As for your pages - I understand not wanting to post all but I love seeing just photos. I am bad though in that since I used just Anna Aspnes designs and post in her gallery I forget to look in just the general pages.

have a great day all!

Poor DH got a rude awakening this morning. I drove off to swim, leaving him asleep...such a rare occurrence...and what happens? The battery in my Low-Jack was dead, so he got THREE phone calls from them warning him that the car had been stolen! Cannot believe that happened on the ONE MORNING he actually slept past 5:00!

Back to 16 laps today, and feeling more in rhythm. I was the only one in the pool.

Happy Canada Day Trudy (although isn't EVERY day Canada Day in Canada???? LOL)!

Chris, glad to hear of medical progress. I feel your pain re. dinner. It never ends.

Sounds like a day of great accomplishments, Nancy.

Off in a bit for a morning with Clara. Haven't seen her for about 3 weeks, so I'm excited to see her, AND to see what new tricks she can do (walking???).

Thankful for: the awesome raspberries my friend gave me from her garden.

Onward......

Feeling at hOme!
It's already evening in our part of the world, but still so hot outside!

We are suffering from a heat wave right now and this is going to last until next Wednesday.
Today, the temperature in the shade was above 40°C (104°F), and there is a kind of very hot breeze coming from Spain and Northern Africa. So needless to say that it is really a pain to go outside and breath hot air (without mentioning the high pollution level).
Most of us don't have air conditioning at home, so I guess it must be around 28°C inside. I have but a small cooler, so not very efficient to really cool the atmosphere.

Happy Canada Day :)

Ideas for your dinner, Chris, this is what I ate: a big bowl of salad with chicken breast, cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds and slices of melon (cantaloup, the orange ones). That was just perfect to cool down!!

Have a great day, ladies!
