GooooOOOOOd morning my lovelies!!

How is everyone doing today? I hope that you all are doing fantastic!! I am getting myself highly caffeinated and very happy about that. :tea: Can you tell?

I am trying super-hard to stay positive and hopeful. I really believe in the power of positive thinking and things are slowly falling into place. I know its not always going to be perfect, but if I can focus on the good bits, the bad ones don't seem to bother me as much.

My MIL is awesome! She is going to let me work for her on the weeks on would have been at the Kooky Lady House. Much nicer to work for my Kooky MIL!! My MIL and I are a lot alike and she is one of my best friends. I am so lucky, aren't I? And when I get a new client up here, I can put MIL back on my Fill-In List and she is good with that. MIL is a quilter and loves to paint and knit and is not a fan of housework so this is a win-win for both of us. :)

My kids have been doing good too. Feeling pretty good, not too many complaints about school. Cait's grades are coming up. Scott's are not as good as last marking period but he is working on them. I am off to see my BFF for coffee this afternoon, so its a good day!
Now, if I could just get Gary to feel better or at least have his headache go away. Stabbing, ice pick headaches since Sunday. Ouch.

Question for y'all.....

How do you get your arrow keys to scroll gain? I use a pen and tablet and always use my arrow keys to scroll up and down. Yesterday, it started that if I hit the down arrow, it would jump to the bottom of the page. I must have hit something on my keyboard (or I bet Catzilla did it when she was all over it and me yesterday!) but now I don't know how to make it go back to scrolling. I tried the Srcoll Lock button and the smooth scrolling options on Firefox, but no luck so far.

I wish that my grocery/pharmacy shopping trip turns out to be way cheaper than I know it is going to be.
I want to get working on my mom's b-day gift instead of forgetting about it like I did yesterday.
I wish for world peace!

(One of the three is actually possible!! :pound:)

Linda S- Did you try out the Dyson yet? It took me a while to get the hang of the ball/swivel but I was also working in very small areas so that might make a difference. But have fun! My client has the pet one and its always amazing how much hair it gets up.

Phyllis- if you are looking for something hypo-allergenic and natural, look for something with shea butter. Its supposed to be really good for people with eczema. Even just a block of pure shea (its solid but melts when youy rub a bit into your skin) it supper moisturizing and have the fatty-acids that are good for your skin. Petroleum is very harsh on skin so its odd that it would be in something considered hypo-allergenic. To keep from wasting the stuff- mix it up with essential oil or fragrance oil and use it on your feet- if you cover it with socks, you won't know the diff. :)

And yes!!!! It was 45* yesterday and I think about the same today, if not a bit warmer!!!! Snow, go away!!!!!!!!

Laurie- no more lost posts for you and Linda :(
Hope you have a great day!

BTW- just so no one things I an totally batty, a lot of the little quotes I toss in to my posts are from Dr Who or Monty Python, I am not really just rambling or thinking that fezzes are cool....

Terry- what are full/crop frame cameras? Never heard of those terms, but then again, my camera is ancient by DSLR standards.
I'll have to keep the ironing in mind if anyone asks/offers about that. I do iron for my MIL so I have "experience." hahah! I don't iron anything of mine, ever.

Nana- hope you didn;t think I was trying to tell you what to do, I probably come across very bossy at times. I guess that goes out to everyone. You know me, I have to help everyone, whether they want it or not LOL
Feel better but do NOT push yourself!
Hey-- how is your mom feeling too? Did her dr give her an all-clear yet? Hope so! Give her a hug from me!!

Trudy- today is your big day off too? Hope you get lots done, plus lots of play time as well.

Nancy- what did you think about the guy who climbed the Seaside Coaster? I get that they had to arrest him, but I hope they don't really charge him with anything. I imagine the Shore towns are really hearing the clock tick away to Memorial Day.
enjoy the nice weather!

heather- feel better!!!!!!

lOve the O!
Morning O fam- workout done- now to head into the challenge of the day. To all who think I am super woman with my workouts- the program I have found just really works for me- it is the one change I made in 2012 that has truly made a difference, not in total pounds lost, but in energy and attitude and those are big, especially with the transition to "same job" new company. I told my boss yesterday that if I hadn't been doing this exercise program I would not have made it this far through the transition ( I believe we have months to go before things settle)

Okay on a none job related front- tomorrow is my day off and tonight is generally a late night at work that I treat myself to dinner out- I have had fish tacos on my mind for three days!

hiya. a minute ago we were having a PINK morning. the sky was so bizarre. now the clouds have moved in and it's the usual Western Pennsylvania steel gray outside....

Chris, thanks for the feet idea. that's about the only place i would use it, but i never thought of it. i went to the website where i bought the stuff to start a return, and then found out that if you live in the USA, they don't accept returns!! even if you pay the return shipping. so, it's either on my feet overnight or in the garbage.

Laurie, i STILL think you're a Superwoman with your workouts! i can't even remember to walk on the treadmill for 30 minutes a day. i'm hopeless. :tsk:

i found another flea on my INDOOR cat yesterday, so i'm off to the Vet to get some Frontline. i want to know HOW this happened, since he never goes out. i'm blaming my husband and the woodpile and their interaction. i think Hubby brought something in the house. i've been vacuuming like a madwoman. bugs. i hate 'em.

then i'm driving to my sister's house to let her try out one of my Roombas. through a series of strange events, i ended up with THREE of them, which i don't need. then out to lunch with sis at My Big Fat Greek Gyro. can i just say that the existence of gyro meat, ( also salami,) is proof that God loves me.

hope you see some sun today, especially inside your head.

Well we took the plunge last night and bought our airline tickets to Hawaii! We are going to visit our daughter, her husband, and little grand daughter in March. Ended up having to pay an extra $368 for preferred seating--extra 5" of leg room. We didn't necessarily want the preferred seating, but there was none of the regular seating left so we had to pay. In reality, hubby will be glad for the extra leg room---he is 6'4". Me--a little 5' person doesn't care about extra leg room!

Did not get a bit of scrapping done last night. Spoke to my daughter on the phone instead.

I did complete my photo a day book for 2012 and got it ordered. This was my first time ordering from Blurb---hope I like it.

It's raining here today--gloomy. But what the heck---I have to work so it doesn't matter.

Heading out of town tomorrow for work. Yuck!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Morning "O" ladies!! Late getting in here today, slept til 7am then phone call from DD to help her with a payroll question. Did I mention that my DD got a job doing payroll and bookkeeping for a taxi company where she lives? She is so excited to actually have a job that she can do from home!! Hopefully she will get a few more clients so she can have more spending money, her disability cheques are a joke!! Not sure how the govt. thinks anyone can live on what they give??

Chris - You have a wonderful MIL, she sounds like mine when she was younger, we were always very close and had lots of fun together! Unfortunately she has changed a lot over the years and now I really don't understand her way of thinking? I still love her, but she can be a very mean person when she wants to be. :noidea:

Laurie - So what is your exercise routine? Do you go on the treadmill? Lift weights? Workout to a video? Glad that it works for you and gives you more energy!!

Phylis - Now I have visions of you walking around with cream filled socks!! You will have the softest feet ever!! Strange that your indoor cat has fleas, but those darn things probably did come in with the wood pile and are living in your carpet and on your cat!! Uggh I hate bugs too especially spiders :spider: :fear: !!

Terry - How wonderful that you are getting to see your DD and family! Ouch on the extra $$ for a bit of leg room, but your flight is going to be long so I am sure it will be worth it! You must be excited! I can't wait to see my DD again, but not looking forward to the 7hr flight!! :plane:

Well I have so much to do today, all the things that never got done because I worked all weekend :mmph: of course my hubby didn't do any housework either, but he did bottle my favourite wine so I can't be mad at him! So off to get dressed, get groceries, clean bathrooms, vacuum, dust and then hopefully have time to do some scrapping!! Have an amazing day everyone

Okay smurfie....if you weren't telling me what to do, I would be getting in my car and driving to NJ to see what the hell was wrong with you!!! :becky: You are too much like ME!!!

Called my bestie this morning....we talked for an hour and half!! I haven't talked to her in a very long time (probably nearly two years)....we fussed at each other for not calling when our lives got crazy and complicated!! She didn't know that I had taken custody of the kids and I didn't know her husband had triple bypass surgery last summer!!!!! We are all caught up now...and both of us felt a little older when we hung up!! :pound: She told me her oldest grandchild is graduating this year!! WTH??? Where did all that time go??? and when I told her C-man was 9 now...yeah...we both realized it had been way too long since we got together...we are going to plan something when the weather warms up....we only live two hours away..but life sure does get in the way!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay....better get busy in the kitchen....it did not clean itself while I was on the phone all that time....WHY?????????

Good morning - whew I am really late. Got sucked into archiving and forgot the time. My son is still surprising me. I really hate negotiating with companies so my son got me $97 back from Verizon for Sandy's disruption. He also got them to send us a new router that should allow uploads and down loads to proceed much faster. I am really looking forward to that.

Chris - yes I think the flag on top of the roller coaster is great but understand that he must be arrested. And loving the warmer temps. Glad you have such a supportive MIL

Laurie - I agree with Phylis you are a super woman with exercise.

Nana and Heather feel better!

Have a great day all!
