The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hello from the wintry abyss! Tracy, I don't know how you do it. The wind and temperatures in the teens are too much. yesterday the wind was the worst of it. I felt like I was going to get blown across the parking lot. The only thing that held me down was hanging onto the shopping cart, which was also getting tossed about. You should have seen the way I was bagging the groceries. Utter chaos. I was throwing things in whatever bag I grabbed out of the trunk first. Glass jars and soft bread-- in ya go!!

That was my big outing of the day and I was overjoyed it was the only one. OTOH, I'm not thrilled with the "what else did you do all day, Faery??" feeling. What else did I do? [insert the no idea emoji]
I re-downloaded the wedding photos, this time making sure I kept the folders and subfolders. I finished my mom's b-day card using two of them: me, my mom, and Caitlyn dancing together. My printer was not printing the colors right so I cleaned the nozzles, recleaned them, and yet again, and still not "right." I was low on two colors so replaced them and somehow got black ink from the old cartridge all over my hands. A project that should have only been a few minutes turned into almost an hour and a messy hour at that. My hands look like I was changing the oil in my car LOL!

We watched Beetlejuice Beetlejuice last night and parts of it were cute. Most of it was just too much. Too many plotlines and too many CGI effects. Scott and Sam saw it in the theater and weren't happy they spent the money on it. It was fine watching it for free on my sofa.

I am braving the frigid weather to go visit with my mom for her b-day. I haven't seen her or my dad since Christmas.

Before I sign off, Kay-- I am sending all of the love, hugs, and comforts I have to you today. :hug1:

Well Chris, thanks but ugh! We are warm and windy, opposite of you. I wish this winter would behave normal. Its 36* and been raining all night. Son got sent home early yesterday from work because the roads were pure ice with water on them. I listened to it rain all night long and then the power outage and hubs heard a transformer blow. We have power now and the house is warm.
That's bananas! Schools and work closures because it isn't cold enough. SMH! I would gladly send all of this arctic air to you if I could. I hope that the weather cooperates today so you can get to church to cook. Be safe on the roads!

@bcgal00 Awesome purchases at the marketplace, the coats and charcuterie boards! I love that philosophy too of bringing one thing in, one thing has to go out. I try my best to do the same. I got a lot of *good* wool socks for Christmas and have been weeding out the acrylic socks to donate.
Scott Speedman-- he is in Animal Kingdom? I'm going to have to look that up. Yup, that's him. I hope he plays a nicer character in Teacup, he's a terrible person in Animal Kingdom. :D
Your salad sounds soooo yummy! No salad for me last night, Tom made his Philly "cheesesteaks" with seitan and fake queso. There are red peppers and onions in so maybe that counts? *G*
Hope you and Remi had some wonderful walks!

Are they giving you all a nasty weekend weather forecast, too? We may end up having to cancel our family gathering! Bummer!
As of right now, the forecasters are "watching" a system but no actual forecast ATM. I hope that your family still can come to you. :praying2:
I hope your stomach is better today.

@LaurieW Whew. It must feel amazing to be back home, laundry and all.

@MariJ AHHHHH! 12" of snow! Crazy to think that NJ weather is better than that, but dang, that much snow is awful. :crying1:
When are you heading back to NJ? I hope that you have a safe and easy trip home whenever you go.
I hate winter too!!

Good Morning!
@faerywings sounds like you got snow! We have cold here with windchills in the teens. I have to get groceries as we emptied the house before we left. I will learn from you and take my bags inside to pack them and then load up the trunk. First- must make a meal plan and grocery list. This afternoon I am helping my husband with a difficult home seller- getting the house ready to go back on the market- picking up before cleaning- it sounds like a pseudo horders house, and it is on the market due to a divorce settlement. Tomorrow I have all day work. I retired last January, however kept one day per week for socialization and slowing my way into retirement.

Good Morning my Lovely O Fam

I'm sorry. I dont like the winter winds either. We've had SO much wind this winter. Or shall I call it extended fall? Its so gross. We had gusts the other night that felt like they were trying to take down the house.
OTOH, I'm not thrilled with the "what else did you do all day, Faery??" feeling. What else did I do? [insert the no idea emoji]
What you did was take care of Faery. She needs to be taken care of and that's what you did. Stop listening to the evil voice asking but what else did you do? You did what was perfect for you that day. :heartpumppink:

It wasn't because it was too warm, it was the beautiful skate rinks that were suppose to be roads. The buses couldn't get safely down the roads, or any car. One road yesterday was a 25mph drive, normally 45-50mph but it was so slick. One wrong move and you were gonna be spinning into the ditch.

This sounds horrible! I've cleaned a hoarder home after evicting someone. Not fun. Had to hack the yard to death too as it hasn't been mowed in a year. Never again. Never rent to friends. Hope its not too hard of a clean up and you can all sell the house quickly.

Today is Wednesday. Thankfully it didn't rain last night so roads should be okay. @Terri M hope youre doing well. Miss seeing you here. :heartpumppink: @MariJ hope you survive your snow storm and get home safe when its time. @bcgal00 I know you will be running crazy having fun, so have a blast!! :heartpumppink: @BrightEyes Many hugs today!! :heartpumppink::heartpumppink::heartpumppink: I hope you have a pj day and can just stay home. @Cherylndesigns @pachimac hope youre both recovered from all the fun over New Years. @JeanneMN Twin I hope you have an amazing day! @mimes1 Amy I hope youre surviving your own busy Wednesday. Hope youre feeling much better.
Love you all! Have a wonderful day!!!

I know I've been missing! November with much travel and grandparenting. then the Christmas holidays took so much of my energy. I've been trying to transition off of a couple boards that I belong to, and that has been taking mentoring time. I am almost finished with my 2024 yearbook, and thinking about what I want to change for my 2025 book. The weekly format works well for me, keeps me caught up, but I think I'll change the template because I've been using the old one for several years and maybe a new look would be motivating. On the other hand, that template has been working for me, so maybe not.

I am frantically trying to complete the photo book I've long promised to my granddaughters of April's Disney World trip, so that's taking my time this week. Because we leave for Florida next week, and I'd like to be able to concentrate on this year's activities!

Good morning ladies. I have some scrap stuff to do, need to get out with Remi and then head out for canasta for the afternoon. Later I'll be driving into Calgary to do a bit of shopping. I just don't seem to have many "quiet" days LOL.

BTW, we picked up the cabinet in Calgary yesterday afternoon and it is perfect for the corner spot in the DR and is one of the pieces that goes with our side tables. I'm super happy with it.

No time to chit chat this morning. Have to get things done before I head out. HAGD everyone.

You are too hard on yourself, Faery!

Check out some of Anna Aspnes' albums and templates! See if they inspire you! I love them!

Good Afternoon,
I hope that your family still can come to you. :praying2:
I hope your stomach is better today.
My son from Alabama has canceled his trip. He would be traveling right through the storm areas. Still waiting on my northern children to decide. Also my SIL (Tim's sister) is supposed to come with her friend. They live up north, too, so if my kids cancel they probably will, too. Bummer!
The stomach IS in fact better today. Mark and I went to lunch!

Doing some laundry today. Got my devotion done yesterday. Need/want to do some scrapping today, but need to be ready for church early tonight because we are taking another Christmas gift to a grandchild before church.

Laundry calling!
Have a great afternoon!

This has been a bitter-sweet day for me. Finished my Letter to Billy and posted it to FB just before noon. Then showered and dressed (yesterday was my PJ day). Been doing some CT scrapping just to keep my mind occupied.

It is much colder with the wind blowing all night and snow fell in the mountains all around us. None here in the valley so far. Dug out my heavy sweat pants/top and still feeling cold. Guess it is time to dig out the winter under-garments. Brrrr...

BB Tomorrow

Good evening. I've been MIA due to a horrible "bug" that we all picked up out in Vegas. Well, since I only spend a few minutes with the rest of the group who went, "they" picked something up. I was safely ensconced at Susie's and spent the majority of time with them.

I haven't even felt like crawling to my computer, let alone sitting up. I can't remember when I've been this sick.

Tracy @AK_Tracy Susie and I had SO much fun! She was exactly like I thought she's be. We just hit it off instantly- she was waiting at the baggage claim when we finally landed.

Chris @faerywings I'm with you on winter. It's been unseasonably cold here, but so far, no snow. Missouri got a ton of it, though. I'm also with you on Beetlejuice. Adrienne and I saw it when it was new and parts of it were pretty yuck. I don't have the desire to watch it again.

Kay @BrightEyes I've been thinking of you all day. Sending you lots of love and hugs.

I'm going to scoot. Don't want to use up all of my energy in one post. LOL
