Do you want to know how cold it is here? It is currently 9* and it was 4* when I woke up. Friday and Saturday will be around 0*F and we might get snow tomorrow. How happy am I??
So happy, I love this weather.
/snark
I am usually the one who yells at the family when they turn the heat up, but this past week, it has been me doing that. I will be mad when I see our oil bill, but when it is cold and hurts to breathe and you are already wearing 4 layers and a hat inside, I guess you do what you gotta do.
Food shopping was very quiet, and I didn't buy much of anything. No one puts stuff on the list so I don't get anything. *shrugs*
Since it didn't take me long, I was able to get my blood drawn on the way home and it was so cold, I didn't need to worry about my food defrosting.
The phone call with Caitlyn and the Attorney seemed to go well and I think she is slightly less anxious about it. The AG was low-key and walked Cait through what questions that would be asked of her.
Leah got Scott a card game version of The Oregon Trail. I don't know how long it has been around but my kids played that on the computer when they were in Elementary school. If you haven't heard of it, you start out with your group in Missouri and you need to over the Oregon Trail. You get supply cards and have Calamities come up. So at one point, I got Cholera, but I had one medicine card and Gary had a medicine card, so I was cured. I lost a medicine card when a calamity was that a thief stole my supply. Other things that happened to us were broken parts on the wagon, dead oxen, extreme cold and need for extra clothing.
It was actually a lot of fun, even though we officially started the game dying of snake bites in the first few rounds. We just ignored that so we could keep playing. Nothing like a family of cheaters ound:
Today, I was supposed to clean for my neighbor, but I am going tomorrow instead. Since it is going to be a "balmy" 27* I might run a couple of the errands I need to do in town.
I still need to clean and organize my office. I should do that first since that is really the most important thing and if I don't run the errands, so be it.
Oh no. Crud. I forgot that I really do need to run some errands today. My mom's b-day is Monday and the family is coming here on Sunday. I need to get her a gift! What in the world am I going to get her??????
:faint2:
Ok, it is all good. I will figure something out.
(I hope)
Have a spectacular day!!!
